Horrible. Maybe the new location is better on the northwest side on 1604. This original location on the Southside is horrible. I wouldn't even touch the raw oysters. Mushy battered General Tso's, half the buffet was cold, poor quality sushi, everything was black pepper to death. The boiled shrimp and crab legs even though small were fresh and firm. For $14 on the weekend just because they have crab legs and oysters this was not worth it. I've been wanting to come here for years. The buffet in Seguin is better than this for $7.99. everything else was super dry including that stuffed crab. It's only 12 noon on a Saturday and this place only opened up 1 hour ago and all the food is either real dry or glopped with sauce. read more

Decided to go here for an early lunch since I was in the area. I arrived around 11:15, right after they opened. First thing I noticed is they use plastic plates. They have a huge selection and I got a little bit of several things. I was really disappointed in the taste of everything. Not the best Chinese buffet I've visited. The you-peel-them shrimp was very difficult to peel. Fish did not taste great either. I think seasoning was lacking. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back. read more

The new Lin's Buffett is a real treat! The new one that just opened in Oct 24 was such a pleasure to visit. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, was brand new!!!! I loved being one of the very first customers coming in for my first visit. The experience was so incredible. The buffett was SO incredibly well cared for! No matter when I went up, it was ALWAYS well kept by a staff member with a headset who kept a real time report to the kitchen on what needed to be replenished on the buffet table!! No, there is no mongolian bar, which I didn't miss at all. But if you want a first class asian soup bar, it is totally here! It was so nice making up my own soup exactly the way I wanted it! The waiting staff were totally immaculate and very tuned to my needs. They totally took care of me every moment of my visit! I've been back three more times since my first visit when they opened, and the experience remains pristine and BRAND NEW!! Get in there with some friends! It will never be this good again!! You know what to expect from a Chinese Buffet and Lin's provides it all and a little more. The steamed buns are a pleasant surprise as well as the steaks you can get grilled to your liking. I was disappointed that crab legs don't seem to an option anymore and not sure if that's a Covid related supply chain problem or a cost saving measure. I love the different choices of sushi rolls available they offer. Overall a pleasant experience with plenty of dishes for everyone's preferences. The servers stay busy offering refills of drinks and ushering used plates away pretty quickly. read more

I do not recommend this place for a family our size. Myself, my husband and our kids 6,7,11,13 tried Lin's for the first time. It's not worth it. Don't waste your time. Starting off I told the cashier that my youngest is 6. She ate nuggets , and fries 1 plate and ice cream. The cashier charged 7-10 price for her, plus $2.49 for Fanta. So we payed $11 for her and $11 for my 7 year old who ate noodles and ice cream. It was my 13 year old daughter's birthday. She was free for food. We paid $2.49 for her drink. We payed $14.94 total for Soda. We WILL have dinner somewhere else next time. I would never bring my family here again. There are so many restaurants in San Antonio. And I miss China sea. This will be our last visit to Lins. If you have kids go somewhere with a kids menu and better food. The food was simply ok. Not great. Not worth the price for sure. However, when we arrived half of the buffet was already put away, then they kept asking us if we were going to get anything else out of the buffet so I kind of felt like I was rushed out of there. First, I LOVE to eat. I regular the Lin's north of San Antonio where I eat my fill of crawfish, dim sum, and steak. This is the second time we've come to this location where the crawfish is well over cooked and the steak chef is bothered by customers ordering up some steaks. Our waitress was less by twice, came for our drink orders and dropped them off, then was never to be heard from again. We did not use their restrooms so no review on that. Lin's used to be amazing but unfortunately they have gone way down hill. We decided to give it another try after a couple years and we couldn't even stay. It wasn't dirty but it didn't look well maintained, pretty run down looking and the food didn't look very appealing. We chose Lin's because they were open later. The doors are unlocked, but they begin putting away the food about half hour before closing. We weren't expecting that and we're sad to miss out on some dishes. One of the cleaner buffets I've been to. Definitely one of the cheaper places we've eaten in San Antonio as well. They have a pretty well-stocked sushi bar with Salmon and Mackerel Nigiri. My wife devoured the crawfish, as they have a pretty sizeable mountain near the back. The offerings are standard fair here, and if you've been to any decent Chinese buffet, you know the quality. However, their brisket (they call it steak) is actually not bad and they have a fridge stocked with Bluebell ice cream, so there's that. Make sure you ask for water. We have eaten here several times. The food is good for a buffet. The food is usually fresh. It is clean and there is a good variety. Here comes the but. Their seating system is horrible! You pay a head of time, and it is a little pricey. Then you have to wait to be seated. We were there and waited 10 minutes in line just to pay and the line had not moved at all. The restaurant was half empty and only one of five groups waiting to be seated were actually seated. We finally gave up and left. If you go at a busy time be prepared to wait 30 minutes or more. read more

There's a Mongolian grill, wide variety of sushi, and what I've been craving for a long time: dim sum! The seafood looks fresh and is not drowning in cheese (gross).
