They responded very quickly, priced fairly, and even provided time slots they had open, so I headed to the shop that same Saturday. When I arrived, they quickly directed me to pull in to start the service. It seems like I had just sat down when they called me back out to show me the the underside of the van. They wanted to know where I'd done the prior oil changes since whoever did them had stripped the tread on the pan from tightening the bolt too tight. I could clearly see that what they were saying was true and the pan had no tread and had been leaking oil this whole time. There really would be no way to do the oil change without also changing the pan. I asked how much that replacement would cost, and told them to go ahead complete the repair along with the oil change. This is my mom's mini van that I was going to drive back down to LA, so definitely wanted to ensure I was safe. I was told it would take 2-3 hours, but was quickly out in about 1.5. They even provided a discount when I paid since the repair was unexpected and fast, which I really appreciate. They pointed out some other concerns, but did not force any repairs on me, which I am grateful for. Will definitely be coming back for any future oil changes and repairs.

I was having issues with a strong exhaust smell in the cab of my…read more2013 Chevy Equinox, and was in search for a trustworthy mechanic to take a look and hopefully repair any problems before an upcoming SoCal roadtrip that I was taking with my family. I used Yelp to put a blanket request for the Sacramento area, and Stress Free Auto reached out right away! I was able to take my car in first thing the next morning and was greeted in such a friendly and warm way. Knowing they had a few jobs ahead of me, they called a niiiice Lyft and made sure I got home free of charge! From there the communication was excellent. There were continual texts that provided information about their progress not only with searching for the main problem, but also a general overall inspection of my vehicle. Once complete they sent me an estimate, I called to coordinate which things I wanted repaired/addressed, and they sent over a finalized quote that I signed immediately. It was quick, informative, and quite literally stress free The main problem was a cracked exhaust manifold. Seems like an extensive repair, right? Well, they let me know later that afternoon that they were done! Amazing same day service! Absolutely incredible. It's been a month since the repair and I haven't had any issues. So, in my book, that's a job well done! The only small gripe I have is the cost. Again, it was same day service, so it's understandable that I might have paid more than I would have at another local shop, but they did offer a discount on the initial inspection cost. Some other shops roll the inspection cost into the cost of repairs, but unfortunately Stress Free doesn't do that. Plus, a couple of suggested repairs were somewhat of a laughable cost. If memory serves, they quoted me around $60 to replace wipers. I'm not sure if it was a quote for all 3, or just one, but I spent $15 on a wiper on the way home and installed it myself. Whatever, they are trying to make money! Despite my small price gripe, I will be using Stress Free in the future for any vehicle concerns I have!

I had wondered about the gap he noticed for years, but I didn't realize it was anything other than wear and tear. He replaced the clips for no extra charge. I know it seems like a small thing, but to me, it speaks clearly to Roland's character: I believe he genuinely cares about doing right by his customers and taking good care of their cars. When I asked him about some issues with electronic parts on my car (e.g. a digital dashboard display), he let me know that his area of focus was mechanical service and advised me to take my car to an electrical auto shop. I was grateful that he knew the limits of his expertise, communicated them clearly, and stuck to them. I felt his quoted price was quite reasonable, and even after he performed more work than requested (still within about a 1-hour time slot), he stuck to his original price quote. I tried calling him to let him know of the damages. He denied responsibility and said he was only at my house for 5 minutes. He told me to never contact him again and failed to respond to the before and after photos I sent. Do not trust this shady business. What went from a lb easy replacement of a 100A that I could have done myself but did not have the time to do so, resulted in several hundred dollars of parts in addition to more for labor due to gross incompetence. DO NOT TRUST HIM!

Terrible Customer Service. I was recommended to go to this place by a friend. I went to get my SUV allignment done; they started work on my truck after about an hour. After working on the truck for about 5 minutes, the manager told me that the truck needed some suspension work, and they will not do the allignment due to this issue. The manager asked me to get the suspension work done from them; however, they wanted to charge me 3 times more than any other shop. So, I told the manager that, "I dont want to get the work done right now", since I didnt even know, if the truck truly needed any work. The manager then told me that, " you have to pay for the full allignment", since they spent about 5 to 10 minutes on the truck, after I waited for about an hour, and they made a decision without my consent that they will not work on the allignment. After that, I told the manager it was unfair for them to do that. The manger got furious at me, refunded the money and told me never to return back to their shop. It's on the worst customer service experience I have ever had. This place totally doesnt know how to treat their customers fairly, and the management has temper problems. I would not recommend fellow yelpers to try this place, I have been using Les-Schwab and they have done good service for me. read more

I went to this tire store based on a recommendation and it was well worth it. These guys were very accommodating. They were able to get the tires I was looking for within a half hour and I was able to get them mounted that very day. They kept every commitment they made. The car was ready when they said even though they were very busy. They were very friendly and helpful in choosiing a tire. And best of all their prices were the best I could find and that includes the internet. Highly recommended!! read more

Had a basic alignment and ball joints on a classic show car. Within a week the alignment spacers came off and fell out into the road somewhere. I called to have it rechecked and redone and they did not offer or guarantee their work. It was the store manager whom I dealt with and he was rude and far from professional. Granted, this was a couple years ago - they could have a better staff and work ethics now. read more

There is also the restaurant 'Cricket' available to go eat. I just kept busy talking to the woman who worked there and another customer... and my phone. After an hour and a half, maybe 2 hours, my car was ready. They didn't see an issue with the ac. Although I don't feel like it gets as cold as a 2023 vehicle should get... my 2009 scion (RIP) would get so ice cold, I would have to turn it up. I think I would've felt better if they could've at least recharged the compressor. As for the plastic cover around my rear view mirror, it was fixed and the etching of the catalytic converter was done. They have AMAZING customer service skills and Paul, who was in charge of my vehicle, gave me his card in case I have any future questions. Super customer service skills, communication, and it sounded like a fun business to be at. Killing time was super easy
