We are still in search of a good pizza place in the Downingtown area and this one location provides a pretty good version. This place is very popular that we had to wait 30 minutes for a pie on a Wednesday night. The pizza had a nicely chewy crust, plenty of cheese, and a sauce that was a tad bit on the sweet side but ok. The spinach calzone was cheesy and did not have watery spinach so obviously someone was paying attention. Price point was also very reasonable. Worth another visit. read more

First time at the new place. Looks like they sacrificed quality for quantity. Made the mistake of getting the pre-made Stromboli's, one with broccoli and the other an Italian. The broccoli was not good. The Italian, very little meat and both ALL dough. Don't mind paying a little extra for quality food, but this was too much to pay for dough. Any other place and this place gets 1 star, however I realize this is the NEW place and they are working out the kinks. In addition, the old place was solid and a go too for good Italian food. We were looking for a quick bite to eat and our kids wanted pizza while we were visiting family in Glenmore. We saw many places but from the pictures this was the closes pizza place that looked like New York style pizza ( we live in NYC) and let me tell you this is very very similar to the pizza we eat in NYC. The only difference is the sauce. It was delicious. My husband said they were very busy inside as well which is a good sign. The food was fresh as well. BUT I was totally dismayed that there was one customer roaming the take out/ pickup area with no mask while chatting with servers. Stopped in today while in town for some hockey. 3 cheese and bacon cheesesteak was amazing. Good roll, and great flavor. Garlic knots were solid, could use some more garlic, but that's probably just my preference, as I love garlic. My wife was eyeballing a bow tie pasta salad that ended being a honey mustard style pasta salad. She's not a honey mustard fan, but they gave us a sample, and it was very good. This is far by the best. Lione's started off as Bravos's until the family broke away. The quality never changed. I'll be honest, it's the most expensive pizzeria in town. The quality is superior. As for the negative review promoting Anthony's. Stop. The food is fresh. You can order a pizza or choose from the quantity of prepared pies that many of the other pizzeria show case for hungry customers who don't have time to wait. The salads are awesome with flavor. My favorite are pasta, broccoli with chicken and the cucumber, tomato and feta. The brothers are great. I first ate here when I moved from California in 2001. I've since moved to Virginia but every time I'm in Downingtown ( like today) I stop buy. You will not be disappointed. read more
