Ordered a Margherita pizza and what I received was a white garlic pizza with so much imitation mozzarella cheese, some tomatoes and shredded basil that looked like grass clippings. When I opened the box there was so much grease I could have filled a 3oz cup. Disgusting in every respect. I also had an order of wings that were submerged in some sort of bbq/ketchup sauce. Disgusting. $37 for a medium pizza and 10 wings is expensive for such a pile of crap. I called to complain about the pizza and the girl was nice and offered to make another pizza but i decided it wasn't worth waiting for anything from this place. Nice pizza, but they ignored the shutdown order, and kept the dining room open the whole time, even though they have a thriving takeout business. They are in the penalty box for a year, at least. Overall decent place. I had the sausage and pepper calzone with mushrooms. It was pretty good. The crust was crispy and the inside wasn't watery. I also had a slice of the loaded baked potato stuffed pizza. It was pretty good as well. The other stuffed pizza looked really good. All the other people I was dining with seemed to really enjoy their meals as well. Their regular pizza was ok. It wasn't bad, it wasn't great. The inside was very clean and we'll decorated. Delicious. Stopped in here after a 7 mile hike in Downington. The service is fast and the employees are very friendly. You can order to stay or sit. They only have deliveries for orders over $100 but as busy as they can be I wouldn't blame them. I ordered the pasta salad, and got some pepperoni garlic knots. Stopped last Sunday to pick up two pizzas a salad and a pizza steak. Food was very good and when picking up loved the selection of desserts and tons of other stuff behind the counter. Ended up getting a chocolate mousse piece of pie and a Hawaiian slice of pizza as well. All was really good and the couple of people behind the counter who helped me were really helpful and friendly. The Downingtown Bravo has been around for a while - I've been going there for maybe 10+ years. The "special" thing about Bravos that distinguish them from other pizza joints are the variety. There are always at least a dozen different pies, a half-dozen different rolls, and about another dozen entrees, appetizers and salads available to be heated up (as appropriate) quickly for a fast, hot, tasty meal. My lady and I often pick up a meal, tell them not to heat it up, then chuck it in the fridge for later heating and enjoyment. Favorites: Pesto Pie, Veggie Roll, Stuffed Peppers, Pasta Salad, White Pizza. Lots of options for vegetarians. Easy parking. This older location has a couple of guys working that really give it personality- like a "good ole pizza joint." They publish coupons in local clipper mags, valpak and such. read more

Lione's is definitely my favorite local pizza/sub shop. Everything we've ever eaten from there is fantastic. They have a very creative lineup of speciality stuffed pizzas, and will even make a delicious upside down pizza though it isn't on the menu. Steaks are juicy and crafted just right. And try the homemade cannolis - really delicious. The other thing I love are the hard working owners who make you feel like your a friend when you go in. I feel like Norm every time I stop by. They also almost always have a coupon in every local coupon magazine and also have a fair selection of beer available. No other pizza places in the area even compare. They may not be the cheapest but no more expensive than the competition, especially the spot about a block down the street that are the self-proclaimed best in Downingtown. read more

Me and my family(THEMACKFAM) traveled here on 8/29/21because of word of mouth and to our surprise this place was the best in and around town. The staff was extremely genuinely friendly and their food was incredibly delicious. Our experience here was GREAT! This is probably my new favorite local pizza shop. Offering to-go or dine-in, the employees are extremely friendly and seem to truly care about your experience. They offer a ton of pizza options, lots of healthy sides and entrees, and offer beer (draft and canned). The inside is very quaint and extremely well-decorated. Traditional pizza booths, lovely ceiling fans, and terra-cotta roof decor. The utensils were immaculate, and they had enough Parmesan cheese containers for all tables. Can't wait to go back! Love the staff and food -- especially the upside down pizza (they use their marinara sauce). Great local shop! My only regret is that the food was so delicious that I ate it too quickly and didn't get a chance to take a picture. read more

I've been looking for a good pizza place for awhile and tried a few in downingtown but this was my favorite so far! Every other place I've tried has semi bland droopy pizza but Lione's is tasty and has a good crust. They were quick and the prices were reasonable for a good pie. read more

Loved the display of fresh strombolis and pizzas. Had a veggie pizza which was quite good, and shared a cheesesteak stromboli and the one with spinach and broccoli. Both were excellent! I've been a customer for a while. The soup is usually good, but tonight I ordered two large crab bisque and a small spring salad to go. Soup is normally $4.75 (it's supposed to be anyway), while the small spring salad is $4.75. Gourmet soup is supposed to be $5.00. I guess you could classify crab bisque as gourmet. The total should have been $14.75 plus tax, which would have made it $15.64. I was charged $17.81. I wouldn't normally make an issue of such a thing, but I've noticed this seems to be a pattern here. Prices here seem to vary from one day to the next, even when ordering the same thing. There's a bald guy behind the counter who usually man's the cash register and I've called him out on this before. He made some lame excuse that he thought I ordered something or other that is more expensive than what I actually ordered. Just dealing with this guy makes my skin crawl. Tonight he did it again. I don't normally order crab bisque, but tonight I did. I figured they must charge a premium for the bisque. Well, they shouldn't, because I probably could have gotten better crab bisque at the Wawa next door. I called down then to ask what kind of soup they have and ask how much the crab bisque is, and I was told it's $5.00. I'm hesitant of ever going back there again because I hate the fact that they would take advantage of a loyal customer. Buyer beware. If you happen to go, I'd definitely watch out for the bald guy, because he's shady as F***! read more
