I think I'm at an all around basic for this restaurant. It reminded me of Arbys water down to basics. Flying in late and was hungry, so stopped by what seemed to catch my attention at the Ian's was close to the hotel. I received my meal in more than a reasonable drive thru time., once I was ready to eat, I noticed I was not given any napkins in my bag. The outside premises was kept clean and the service was okay, no one was rude. If I had another long day and really didn't want to stop anywhere else to eat I would give another try and probably choose another menu option..

A good size dining room helps when this location gets busy at peak times.

Near a popular shopping area this LC is busy at peak dining times. However, there's plenty of seating and the large parking lot can handle crowds. This St. Louis chain focuses on roast beef and does it so well it doesn't need a huge menu. There are a only handful of non-roast beef sandwich and salad options available.

Since I didn't grow up in St. Louis I had no idea what Lion's Choice was when I moved into the area. I was familiar with Arby's though and it became clear pretty immediately that Lion's Choice is in that vein. I've only gone to Lion's Choice a couple times and I will admit that it is almost never for the roast beef. Instead our family goes for the mini cones. Man, what a treat. For 0.50 to 0.75 you can get a mini cone plain or dipped in chocolate. It is a perfect when you need a treat. My son loves it. So I can say the food is fine, exactly what you would expect, but the mini-cones are just top notch.

I really love the Roast Beef at Lion's Choice. The flavor isn't just the meat but the seasoning they use on it as well as adding the Horsey sauce and BBQ sauce. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it. The employees are super friendly and they love hearing that we have driven all the way from Central Florida just to eat there. The restaurant is clean and the food is fast and fresh. The parking lot is a bit awkwardly shaped but that is so minor once you bite into that sandwich. Happy Dining!

I love Lion'sChoice! The roast beef is thinly sliced and not over cooked and they don't skimp on the meat. The horseradish sauce actually has heat and flavor. I rarely eat fast food but Lion's Choice consistently delivers quality food for a reasonable price. I hope the expansion doesn't ruin it.

Large Pulled pork, southern style (it's the coleslaw).

Great spot to grab a sweet treat and a coffee. My mom and I wanted a coffee after lunch before…read moreheading to the mall. We wanted to support local, so this was a perfect fit! I also love that this space aims to provide front/ back of house skills for adults with intellectual disabilities. We went in the afternoon, so a lot of bakery items were sold out (good sign). They had full size gooey butter cakes and pre wrapped items ready to, so definitely keeping that in mind. They also had their famous smile cookies (I've been eating them since I was a kid). They have a full ice cream bar in here (had no idea) which is great to add to the sweet treat line up. My coffee was great (iced latte) and the service was also good. Parking can be tricky in downtown Kirkwood (if you know you know) but we scored a lucky spot on the street right outside. Check it out!

I went here a few weeks ago. I think I had not been here. It's a bakery/cafe that provides job…read moretraining for people of various abilities receiving job training. And I don't remember what I had, lol! I liked it and I'll return to update this review if I remember what it was. A few of the employees -- people perhaps in their early 20s who did not appear to take their jobs as seriously as the cashier -- were engaged in a private conversation behind the counter. The cashier and customers had to wait a moment to get their attention about a menu item that had been discontinued, though the online menu we found had not been updated. We had a group of 8 people. We sat upstairs. I wasn't all over the setup of the space. Perhaps half of the seating is upstairs and the stairs have a bend/turn. The person bussing lost control of the tray. From what I could see, in her attempt to regain control of the tray, she fell and broke something or some glass cut her and she was bleeding quite a lot before she left for treatment. I think smaller trays may be in order, or a dumbwaiter, or perhaps an employee with better upper body control could do this task. Between that and a comment said by one of the waitstaff that I prefer not to repeat, I am hoping I caught them on an "off" day. We need more businesses like this one. The food was good, too, so I will return.
