Absolutely LOVED it! Great girls night out. We had a blast, the food was good, the drinks were good (although a little pricy), the service wad excellent and the show... amazing! Only problem, they didn't do separate checks. It was split between 7 people with gratuity added, which was fine, but those of us who didn't drink as much paid just as much as those that drank more. Had a great time at Lips!!! It is beautiful inside and the service is great. All of the waiters and hostesses were super nice. I won't be a regular, but definitely will go back from time to time. It's great to take an out of town visitor. With that being said EAT BEFORE you go. The food is absolutely horrible, doesn't look appeasing and definitely does not taste it either. At this time the cover is $7 to get in and $15 food and beverage. Use that $15 on the very strong drinks. I repeat, do not get the food. Lips is a place every female or even the female at heart should experience in a lifetime. Words cannot express ....from the ambience, entertainment, and decor were all on point. It is great for bachelorette and birthday parties. Reservations are recommended especially with large parties. There was a $10.00 admission fee. The food was ok. We had a large party so we had to select from a three course fixe menu that in my opinion wasn't worth $25.00 and drink, taxes, & gratuity were not included. My alcoholic beverage was watered down $8.50 plus a $10.00 shot in a cute souvenir shot glass. Overall a good experience and a night I will never forget. read more

Word of advice..do not come here hungry. This is a place to come have drinks and give tips. It's mostly women lip syncing but the plus is that it's to a lot of my favorite songs. Some of the servers are pretty awful. I felt like my group was bothering our waitress by being there. I think it's better to come in a small group because they don't seem to enjoy large ones. Love this placeeeee! Have sat at the bar to enjoy many shows and also just recently sat at a table for a work Christmas party on a Sunday! I have loved every show with the girls and they are always on top of their game with new music and new dances/skits. I especially love their frozen cosmos which is one of their specials! It's a must go if you've never seen a drag show or even if you just want to have a show and dinner/drinks any time! read more

The food here is was good, but let's be honest that's not why we came to Lips, we came for the show and the show did not disappoint. I would have given Lips a 5 star review if it wasn't for the terrible service that my mother and I received with the valet parking. From the time my mother and I walked out of Lips and handed the head valet are ticket we waited for close to 1 hour. We were one of the first customers to leave the restaurant and we were the VERY last customers to get our car. Almost every customer that was waiting outside with us to get their cars where frustrated with how long it was taking, but none of them waited as long as we did. If you are going to come here to see the amazing show then you should take an Uber. read more

Had an awesome time during the holidays. Everyone was friendly. The decor is super cute. Glitter explosion and bright colors. But tasteful. Very nice place and I highly recommend 1 star for decor. Another star goes to the entertainment. Fun group but it's kinda tight for the performers moving in between tables.Awesome that they give you stage time and let you sit in a regal chair to be the queen or king for your birthday, bachelorette, bah mitzvah or whatever you're celebrating. Omg this was my first time at a drag show. And let me say this I had the greatest time of my life here. The food was delicious and the service was great and also BEAUTIFUL. We had a party of 14 ladies who are qualified foodies in their own right. That, and they are party animals. The show was, as expected, over-the-top, wonderful, entertaining, and raunchy, and everything we came to see. The food was EXCELLENT. Everyone enjoyed their food, and that is saying a lot for foodies. I loved my order of tuna lightly seared, with Asian beans and Jasmine rice. The food serving was huge! My gin and tonic was spot on and had plenty of gin. I highly recommend LIPS Atlanta for anyone who is not easily offended, and likes a great night out. It's good for straight, gay, men, women, married couples, etc. Two things. Show up ON TIME or your food order will be taken when the ladies "get around to it." Also, take earplugs if you have sensitive ears; the ladies of LIPS like to crank up the music and belt out their songs. read more

I have been twice now and enjoyed both times. The queens do a great job both waiting the tables and performing at the same time. The performance is by far the best part of the evening. The food is average but still good and the portions are generous. They have a variety of mixed drinks and cocktails as well. The performers move through the crowd and there really isn't a bad seat in the house. Bring cash so you can tip them as they perform, they really appreciate it. read more

My First Drag show!!! Show was good. The lady/gentleman that hosted it was very funny. The atmosphere was good, great decoration and everyone nice and smiling. Seems like the place for Birthday parties and Bachelorette parties. Not many men in attendance but the ones that were there last night were obviously gay. Food was good, there is a $10 min person and $15 food min per person. My problem was that the waiters/waitresses that are suppose to take your order are the same ones in the show. So even though they say if you need anything at anytime to just raise your hand and someone will help you, it doesn't happen. They are either performing or busy going to perform. The "bus guys" seems to not be allowed to take orders, they just clear tables and bring you the food. Also there was a customer that was at sitting at the table in front of us, she was very chatty seemed too be intoxicated. At one point she even came and sat at our table and started engaging a long unnecessary conversation with us. BUT, I went to the bar to get me and my girls drinks, b/c our waiter/waitress had been M.I.A for some time and despite literally waving our hands in the air no one came to attend to us. While at the bar waiting for my drink, one of the performer came over was talking about one of the customers to the bartender and went on and on about the customer being a bitch and he was about to slap her etc etc. Now they do say "Bitch" A LOT in the performance which is find. I have never had so much fun at a drag show. When I saw they had a dinner menu, I was surprised because I have never seen dinner and a drag show before. But boy was I blown away by the presentation and taste of the food. I would go back to lips for the food if the drag show wasn't any good but both the drag show and the food were fantastic. Went here yesterday for Sunday brunch with the Sister of Sequins and let me start by saying that not only is your appetite fulfilled, but your eyes are treated to a feast as well! I personally loved the ostentatious decor and wanted to take the costume that was on stage home with me! It is very loud in the establishment. Most of the performers are also the servers and with that being said, TIP PLEASE! The bus boys were also adorable. There are 5-6 offerings for the brunch with a complimentary mimosa or bloody mary (I'll get to that later). I went with the chicken and waffles and I'll admit I was nervous about the bird because some places tend not to season well at all, but not here, the seasoning was spot on, not too salty, the bird was crisp on the outside, moist on the inside and most importantly, not greasy! The waffles were yummy as well and they are NOT afraid of butter at this place and I am an absolute fan of that! About those drinks, they serve the best bloody mary I HAVE EVER HAD, the only downside about it was that there was too much ice--for me; but I swear I felt like I was getting all my nutrients back especially considering drinks I had the night prior! They give you maybe about 20-30 minutes to enjoy your food and the then show begins. The two hostesses were fantastic and the you can tell the performers truly like what they do, its comedy and song and the good word all in one sitting! I know I want to go back to see other performers and try their dinner menu. There is also some audience participation and they have people celebrating birthdays to come on stage and take pictures. Went here for NYE and it was amazing! It was so much better than I had hoped for. The show was so entertaining, the food was delicious and the drinks were flowing. I spent the whole time grinning. It was an incredible experience that anyone who finds themselves in Atlanta should have. First visit was fun! I've heard so much about the place over the past year and decided to treat some friends from out of town to dinner and a show. Booking was fairly easy over the phone. They do have many policies and requirements that must be fulfilled, from cancellation policy, to cover charge and minimum purchases per person. The food was very average, but reminded me of a catered event. Staff was fun and very friendly. During the show, the birthday and social recognitions took a REALLY long time. It's nice they bring each celebrant on stage, but takes a very long time. I'd like to see more show and less "filler". read more

The night was amazing. The night started out great with a wonderful welcome and chastising for being late. The food was hot and delicious. The performers left me speechless. Outstanding performances. Every performer brought their best. They made EVERYONE feel welcome. Funny as hell. Well worth the money. Cannot wait to go again. Every member of the staff was friendly and attentive. I Love Love Love this place. I have never been to a drag queen show before so I was a little on the "I don't know" side when I found I out this was where I was going for my birthday. The décor is awesome and the ladies are to die for. It was really crowded, I went on a Saturday, and the wait was about 30 mins but they had to clean and get every thing situated so I understood the wait. There is a cover charge and a $15 min for the food not including drinks. I would recommend the pork chops they were to die for. If you are going for your birthday just note they will invite you up on stage and you will be given a small cake which is 10$. We went for my friends birthday, we had a BLAST. The complaint I do have was the outrageous price. They tell you when you make reservations that it is 38.95 per person. That includes cover charge, show and dinner. That is a fair price... BUT what they DONT tell you is NO beverage is included. A coke is $3.00 and the alcohol is outrageous. A shot is 10.00 and each drink is 9.00.. they also automatically charge 20% gratuity to your check.. so you get no choice if how much you want to tip.. you don't find that out until show is over and the lights come on and the checks come out.. so until then, each performer goes around during their performance and collects tips from each table.. had I known the total of MYSELF ALONE was going to be 88.00 for cover, dinner, a coke and a shot plus 20%gratuity, I would NOT have thrown dollars at the performers. I would have said.. honey, you are getting plenty of tip! Because the servers are also the performers except for Charlie Brown, who was absolutely hilarious.. it was a lot of fun but unless you have deep pockets or are willing to take out a second mortgage on your house to see a drag show, this isn't the place for you.. would I go back? Maybe for a special occasion, because for 10.00 extra dollars they will pull the birthday/bachelorette up on stage and crown them and give them a cupcake. I went in to Lips on last night. The show was nice, food was good but I was very disappointed with the difference of prices on the site and when you get to the restaurant. On Friday nights at 7, the website indicates parties of 2-15 the cost is $10 cover plus $15 food minimum. We were a party of 10. We were given a special menu where the food prices were at least $10 more than on the regular menu, but the same portion sizes. Our price was $10 per person with a $28.95 food minimum. They then charged a 20% tip where essentially we over paid $20 per person for that evening. To bring guests to the city to your establishment and be cheated monetarily is disgusting! read more

Last night September 25,2014 my friends and I attended the 9:15 show. We went to the bar until our seats were called and did not have to wait long. We ordered throw your bitch to the.curb...very good strong drink! Our server was.monica she was.very nice. I.was celebrating my birthday and was crowned by a queen. We.ordered appetizers and more drinks. The show started and we laughed and danced we gad a great time laughing at the jokes! I would def go again. The tab is one check it.wasnt messed up. The birthday and bachelorette celebrations do.cost $10 but it is a sweet memento of.the night. I went to Lips on 1/18/14 with 9 of my friends and we HAD A BLAST!!! We went for my birthday and they gave everyone there these cool crowns and you got to go onstage and talk to Charlie Brown for a bit and everyone said Happy Birthday and then you step off the stage... For me I was sooo nervous because I am a very shy person when it comes to being onstage but they made you feel very comfortable and I am so glad I did it! The dancing/show was sooo great!! I went to Lips in San Diego so I was hoping this one will hold to my standards and It did for sure! great audience interaction, song choices, and just over all great! Service was great when our waitress (Savannah) wasnt on stage (it was just for one short number) but the other girls didnt quite seem to understand what we ordered for a drink they brought out the wrong one twice, but as soon as Savannah came back to check on us she made it right! that is really the only bad thing I can say about the whole night...not bad right! I suggest you have everyone in your party bring cash that way you dont have to worry about credit cards, I think she said that she can take as many as 4 (which I thought they couldn't split checks at all) but we all brought cash and it made it super easy to check out. I didnt know they had Valet only parking for Saturday night and I think Friday as well but it is complimentary and all you have to do is tip the valet guy so that was nice! The food: I had the hamburger and I LOVED IT! The coconut shrimp was delicious as well!!! everyone said that they all enjoyed their food and it wasnt over the top on price either. The drinks were very good as well. They do not skimp on the alcohol so they are worth the price. I recommend the Kick the Bitch to the Curb or the Blojito! This was my second experience at Lips so I knew what to expect or so I thought. We were at the second show for New Years Eve and the show itself was much longer and the performers had so much energy. The performers are also your servers so a long night of double duty! For this night, it was a pre-fixe menu which actually was great because I knew what I wanted within a minute and didn't have to stare at the menu for a while to decide. Just takes that work out and enjoy the environment and the people that you came with. I was honestly surprised at how good the food was after my first visit. I had the crab cakes which had a little kick to them. One of my friends liked those so much he started eating off other people's plates. For the main course I had the filet mignon cooked Medium and it was perfect. I don't eat steak very often so this was a treat and it did not disappoint. I don't remember what the desert was but it was good. Not too sweet! By that point I had a few (okay a lot) of drinks and shots. Our server was awesome. She was attentive and fun and really make our night. Actually anyone that walked by was willing to help, get another drink for you, clear your table, take a photo or just say Hey! I can't wait to go back on my next visit to Atlanta. I'm thinking either the Bitchy Bingo or the a Sunday Gospel Brunch. I went to the Saturday show, GREAT SHOW!!! I wish I could give it a 5 star only reason I can't is there's some things they don't say upfront on the website. It's $10 Valet parking. $35 minimum purchase per person. And BTW if it's your birthday or bachelorette party or whatever and you go up on stage it's a $10 charge added to your bill. Now of course bring $1 bills for tips and cash for your bill. Overall I had a GREAT experience and will be returning. read more

I visited Lips for a birthday party and was warned about the bill and the food, so I thought I was prepared. My issue with how they split the bill is that they put the $10 admission on there, which means your bill will be excessively more and they are able to tax that and add that on to the gratuity, which is not right. My other issue is that the show is only an hour. By the time it gets fun, its time to go. Personally, The performances were okay, the chicken fingers were okay but overall I wont be back. I love love love Lips ATL! (The Queens) are very animated and funny! They put on a wonderful show, that keeps you intrigued and entertained! However.....the drinks are good but not that strong. You would need a good 3 or 4 drinks to feel a buzz. The food isn't that great so I would advise those interested in going to eat before they go. Other than that it's a amazing, hilarious show you wouldn't want to miss! Although you can dress casual, I would recommend dressy attire. read more
