Pre-ordered Nuka-Cola Dark Rum in September, received an order confirmation. After placing the order I did not receive another email regarding my order, ever. I called multiple times to be sent to a voicemail and never ever, received a call back. I still had not received my product, and Silver Screen Bottling had sent out multiple email updates on the products release, including letting us know that they had shipped the product to their retailers (Liquorama among others). After this I hoped to receive a shipping email with a tracking number or something like that, yet I got nothing. It's not like this was $30 it was $80 bottle and $20 to ship. Sure $100 isn't a ton of money but its also nothing to let go of. I called again to no avail, then I saw a redditor post about how he had received his from Liquorama, claimed he ordered around similar time as me (Sept.). So I contacted them via email and instead of responding to me with an apology or anything, they just refunded me without giving me any option. I had asked in the email if I was going to get my product or if they wanted to issue me a refund, they seemed to make the choice for me. I have been going to Liquorama for many years. You could say that Liquorama is like Bev Mo, but that would not be anywhere near the truth. Liquorama is much more than a warehouse of alcohol. Yes, they carry or can get pretty much any type of beer, wine or spirit that you are looking, but they go beyond that. The staff a Liquorama goes out of its way to know about what it is selling. There is always someone there who knows about the type, brand or flavor of any particular beer, wine or spirit that they sell. If you enjoy craft beer, they will be able to recommend something depending on your taste and the same will go for everything else including the huge selection of wine which, I believe where they really specialize. Wines from all over the country and world are available and someone will always have an answer to your question. Yes, you can get domestic beer, low grade spirits and inexpensive wines here, but WHY? Not when you have such a vast collection and knowledgeable staff to introduce to something new and better tasting. Liquorama has an online ordering, kegs and several additional services to offer including in store tastings with vendors as they sell some very hard to fine spirits the other stores do not sell. Due to supplier delays this was further pushed out. as of now delivery has still not been made, multiple emails to Liquorama's customer support since November have gone unanswered. This was my first visit to Liquorama, and I have to say I was super impressed I went there with a friend for a Glenlivet tasting (which was awesome) but before hand, got the chance to check out the store. Really well laid out, the aisles are wide enough for easy browsing (not like some of those stores where you feel like you're going through one of the torture mazes like in Saw), great selection of wine and spirits, really friendly and knowledgeable. Plus they have a good size selection of accessories and cigars. All in all it's totally worth a trip to go check them out. Plus, they have really good prices (some of the best I've seen outside of a Costco or large chain) The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was the small selection of Absinthe, I don't know if it's a matter of not knowing the product or the demographic isn't a fit, but I would have liked to see a better selection. Be very careful ordering liquor from Liquorama online. If you purchase online to have liquor delivered be advised that Liquorama doesn't tell you how long it will take to get your order. In my case it took several weeks. When I contacted the store I was told that I would receive delivery tracking information, which I never received. When I contacted the store again to cancel my order I received an apology for the delay and was told the my shipment would be received the next day. I finally received my order. Liquorama INDEED! I looked online to see where I can purchase a specific peach bourbon. All due to falling in love with this drink on the rocks while attending a wedding not too long ago. During my web search of my new favorite drink. Liquorama Popped up almost instantly. I was rather taken by surprised expecting to see my peach bourbon show up at a more expected main stream name brand brick and mortar competitor(s). Nope! Neither one had it, to my dismay. Then I looked online to track down to see what and where the closest Liquorama was located. Turned out there was one about a 30 minute drive from my home in the city of Upland. Not...too bad of a distance from home. Just would need a better reason to go all the way out there for just some on occasional tasty booze. With a bit more research on their website, Not only did Liquorama have my peach bourbon, low and behold it was on sale! Thank heavens above! It was a sign! Now I have to GO!!!! So I arrange to meet up with my oldest Highschool friend for a meetup breakfast/ early lunch nearby. After lunch we headed over to Liquorama for our first visit. To make it worth the while of a decent drive. This particular Liquorama in Upland is tucked away in the center corner of the shopping center. From first appearance from the parking lot it may appear to be a small liquor store, but as soon as you walk in. BOOM! Rows and rows of well organized liquor shelves for any connoisseur of spirits delight. Let alone a large glassed walk-in humidor for cigars for sale just 30 feet away from the front doors. Nice!!!! It took a short while to track down the Peach good stuff, before I gleefully had four bottles in my arms heading straight to the cashier. The employee/cashier noticed my purchase and then asked if I and my friend ever tried another different label bourbon. Why...no... Next thing he pulls out a bottle of his suggestion and pours two small taster sample plastic glasses for my friend and I to try. First time, being offered a small drink at the checkout counter. SWEET! Sure! What the hell, were both of beyond legal age! This makes up for the little traffic on the way there. The drinks were small and it wouldn't impair my driving at all. Just a tasty smidge of Happy goodness. My friend I toasted and slowly tried this peanut butter infused bourbon concoction and Oh MY WORD! It WAS TASTY! I thanked the cashier for the sample, as he smiled. I finished paying for my four bottles of peach libation. My friend and I wished everyone well inside as we made it out the door heading back to my car. As we were dropping off the four bottles of Peach Bourbon into my trunk. My friend and I were just about to get into my car, right up until the flavor of that tasty peanut butter bourbon grabbed hold still lingering on my tastebuds. As I realized and uttered out loud, "DAMN IT"!!! My friend asked what's wrong. AS I told him, that I need to go back and get a bottle of that EVIL peanut butter bourbon!!!! He asked what for? Followed with agreeing it was damn good! I said, I can make a killer whiskey sauce with it for a future bread pudding as I closed and locked up my car once again. As my friend tagged along with me back into Liquorama. The cashier chuckled of our sudden return, as I quickly made a beeline with a bottle of the peanut butter EVILNESS! As I gave the cashier a friendly stink eye .... handed him my money for the purchase of the bottle. He mumbled, "it's good huh?" Yeah...I replied with dang it! It's really good, you might be a new future friend and told him what it was going to be used for. He nodded in approval as my friend and I heading back to the car. Didn't have too much time to explore the entire place, but I know for sure my friend and I will be returning in the near future! Especially for obscure hard to find spirits. Liquorama reminds me of a larger version of a Vendom's with just much more selections and hard to find spirits. The only minor downside I experienced here is the liquor shelves are kind of on the short side for what I'm accustomed to. So there is a lot of squatting and or head/body tilting to see what they all have on the bottom shelves. It can kind of get perplexing if your well over 6 feet tall and on a quick mission to find a specific liquor on your way to a special event. Not only did I go to an amazing wedding, that led me to my favorite bourbon. It's now led me to Liquorama officially being on my top 3 MUST GO liquor establishments! Me and my friend didn't have any problems (unlike other reviewers) with any of the staff here. They were very helpful, observant if you needed help and if your cool, friendly, making nice chitchat back, they might just suggest or offer you a small free sample to try. If i was able to give it a 0 star I would. Their customer service is trash and they dont care about their customers. I placed an order on the 20th and never received a confirmation email. The shipping costed more than the products its self $244! And it takes about three weeks to receive the products! I had an event and ordered a large order and the items didn't arrive. I called customer service the associate tells me she can't do anything and she can call back the shipment but I would be charged for the shipping cost! Really how is this going to solve the issue. If I could give less than one star then I would for my horrible experience. I placed an order for two expensive bottles of a spirit that is very hard to find on short notice with a live person on a Friday afternoon with the guarantee that my items would be sent via GSO and arrive on Monday, the day of my company's party. Due to a contractual obligation, I had to serve this particular liquor. A few hours later I received an email shipping notification from FedEx stating that my items would arrive on Tuesday, which would be the day after my party. No one was in Liquorama's customer service department at that time or over the weekend but I left messages via email and voice. On Monday, Lindsay, the lady who took my order, returned my call and said she screwed up for not physically making sure that my order was sent via GSO. She said I could either reject the shipment when it arrived and thus receive a full refund or, she suggested I go to the FedEx location and pick up my order. I asked her which FedEx location that would be. She said she would find out; she called back a few minutes later and said pickup at FedEx was not an option and then she hung up on me while I was still asking questions. Not only could I not believe this woman's rude behavior but I was surprised she expressed absolutely no remorse for not having the package sent GSO like she promised. I was left scrambling to find this rarely-stocked liquor. Thankfully I located the product a 90 minute-drive from me. I will never trust Liquorama again. I contacted their customer service dept via phone and dealt with a very rude woman. I ordered some wine from them online, and when FedEx was unable to deliver the wine I called to have it held at a nearby FedEx store (something I routinely do with other places I buy wine from online). The FedEx representative apologized and informed me that I needed to contact the shipper (something I've only had to do once before when buying wine). I looked up the number for Liquorama and called. The woman on the phone asked if I had it delivered to a home address, and I replied that I had. Her immediate response was to laugh, and say, "Bad idea!" I replied that it was a bit late to tell me that now. She replied, "We put it on our website; maybe you should have read our website and you would have known that." I was stunned. I told her that was bad customer service, and I couldn't believe that she was addressing me that way. Her reply was, "Well, we get that about ten times a day." She went on to tell me she would contact FedEx and change it so that it could be held for pickup, and I got off the phone with her as quickly as I could. Based on this experience, I will NEVER buy anything from Liquorama again. The most annoying aspect about this experience, in my opinion, is it was completely avoidable simply by allowing the customer to change delivery to "Hold At Location" on the FedEx website, like every other online wine seller I've bought from. Living in VA, liquor that is made available to patrons is controlled by the state. If a particular item is not "on their list", it can be very difficult if not impossible to attain. While I could drive into DC, I find ordering online from Liquorama to be an easy and quick solution to getting my husband the Sambuca he prefers which is not offered in VA even through special order. The website is easy to use and you can check out using PayPal. Selection is huge. Prices are fair. The only drawback is having to pay for shipping, but that is what it is. I've had only one incident where I needed to call customer service and they were friendly and helpful. I am a fan and will continue to shop here. read more

I cannot comment on the wine tasting or other events they have here because I have never participated in them so I will focus on alcohol strictly. The service here is pretty decent. The people up front are friendly and they'll help you find whatever you want. They get a star dinged though because I hardly EVER find alcohol here cheaper than other places. I mean, bottle per bottle, it IS lower than most places but they almost NEVER have sales and that sucks. I usually find the alcohol I'm looking for a significantly cheaper price at Costco or CVS, or Albertsons, or Stater Brothers, etc. TL;DR They get the 4 stars for having a good selection. This is the best liquor store I've been to in quite some time. I'm a big beer and bourbon drinker and they have never left me disappointed with my purchases. As far as liquor goes, they've got really quality options to choose from and you can generally find good value for a mid to high quality whiskey. I will say that their expensive stuff, is still expensive but when you're shopping for liquor, that's kind of the way it goes. As far as beers go, I do prefer going to actually go to a local brewery to get something (being in so-cal we're blessed with some pretty good craft breweries) but they do have a lot of nice options. I've bought a lot of Avery beers here because they usually have really good sales and they keep a decent rotation of Belgiums on hand. I also like getting my kegs here because they have a pretty wide selection of beers.
