I decided to give Li's a try based on the reviews on Yelp and the proximity of the restaurant to my house. Li's is not open yet for dine in but is offering curbside delivery for take out. I ordered Mongolian beef, General Tso's chicken and as order of crab cheese wontons which my wife likes. The main dishes were accompanied by my choice of steamed white or fried rice so I requested one of each. Upon arrival at Li's you place a call and they bring your order to your car. It was very safe for all and very efficient. My wife enjoyed the crab cheese wontons and I tried one deciding they were good although I'm not a crab cheese wonton fan. The two entrees were very good. The hotness/spicy level of both was just about right on. You knew you were eating a spicy dish but you could still tell what it was; I appreciated that. The portions were generous so we enjoyed the entrees the next day for lunch. The spicy level had increased with sitting in the frig. overnight and was a bit hotter, still good though. The white rice was well, white rice. The fried rice was fairly tasteless as fried rice can be when it's just generic. I would order from Li's again and will try another entree which I will accompany with steamed white rice. All in all a very pleasant experience. read more

This is a place where hot means Hot - in terms of heat level in spices and how hot the food is. Which is a great thing. We went here for lunch as we were in the neighborhood. I was a little skeptical to order shrimp and sea food - but the owner assured me that it was all fresh. I am glad I took the advice. It was delightfully fresh and very tasty. Good egg drop soup, good hot and sour soup. Rest of food was "average". Basically a "mom and pop" restaurant in a strip center. A neighborhood place you might drop into for a meal when you don't want to drive far, or aren't looking for an exceptional meal. They seemed to be doing a great delivery service. read more

What happened to this place? By far was the best Chinese place in Broomfield 3yrs ago but all downhill since then. Top Ramen noodles are better than what they use in their Lo Mein dishes and Panda Express has better orange chicken than this place. It seems my quest to find a favorite Chinese restaurant is going to be a long one. When my boyfriend and I got here, there was one person waiting for take-out and nobody in the dining area. After sitting down we realized that it was SUPER quiet. The only noise in the whole place was the buzz of the fridge in the corner, there was not even music playing lightly. The waitress was very polite and prompt. She even told my boyfriend "The sesame chicken is spicy, is that okay?" We had delightful jasmine green tea as we waited for our food, and as a few more groups came in it wasn't quite so eerily quiet. What our waitress didn't say was that the LO MEIN was spicy, as well. The reason I like lo mein is because it is generally mild. I like mild. Maybe I have a boring palette but I'm okay with that. When the food came out it was very hot (temperature-wise) so at first it tasted fine, but after it cooled down I noticed that it was quite spicy. I had to take a sip of water or green tea after every bite. My boyfriend didn't mind the "spicy"-ness of his sesame chicken (he said it wasn't really that spicy but this is someone who eats green chili on everything so I don't know), but what he didn't like about his was that it was a mixture of light and dark meat. The check did come with delightful little coconut cookies, as well as fortune cookies (boyfriend and I got the same fortune, haha), but it could not make up for the rest of our meal. This is by far one of my favorite local Chinese restaurants! The service is excellent and the food is really good (I love their Hot & Sour soup and sesame chicken). Prices are very reasonable and they usually have beer specials around dinner hour. If you live nearby, their delivery service is super quick and the food always arrives HOT. WOW! found this restaurant because it was close to the hotel we were staying at (westin) and were alittle worried when we walked in because not too many people were there but we love chinese...and good thing we tried it. We had the Shrimp with vegetables (dinner) and you get a big bowl of rice on the side as well as little macarroons after. The meal was wonderful and we went back 3 times after. The only down side was the wonton soup. but HIGHLY recommended and very fresh food read more

Can I just say their pan fried dumplings are amazing! The outside of the dumplings is so crispy but then biting into it. It's soft and the flavors hit every tastebuds in your mouth. And their dipping sauce is breathtaking. It's not just some soy sauce mixed with sesame oil. It's sweet, salty, a little sour, and a little spicy, it goes so well with the dumplings. I've been coming to Li's and ordering food from them for nine years and it is always superb! The cabbage in the egg rolls is always fresh and crunchy and I've never had a bad dish! This was my first time here and I don't plan on returning. While the service was pleasant and fairly attentive, there isn't much else positive to say. Our booth should have had its cushions replaced long ago. The food was disappointing. The hot & sour soup was watery and not very spicy. Egg rolls were bland. My entree, which was supposed to be spicy, was about as mild as it could be, with no heat at all. It was very salty, though. We order from Li's semi-regularly, and the food is decent. Last night we ordered for six people; and the person delivering the food was standing about 20 feet away from the door when I answered shouting "Sir, are you sure you didn't make a mistake on the tip?" We hadn't. He then proceeds to tell me "You know, maybe you can adjust it ... it's not really "fair," as he's out risking his life being unvaccinated (a choice at this point) and maybe I need to "correct the tip." I thought he was kidding, and looked up to see the signal of a joke, but only saw a pathetic whiny person trying to shame me in front of my entire family and next - door neighbors, with "maybe your wife made a mistake, you all normally tip well." I changed the tip to a ridiculous amount and took the food. We will never be ordering again from Li's (not due to the food - it's good) but due to this entitled driver from their restaurant who shamelessly tried to manipulate a sense of guilt, shame and public embarrassment to get a few more bucks. read more

I love Chinese food I'm at my local China 88 in Longmont 3-4 times a week for hot and sour soup or Kung pao chicken. I stopped into this place while in Westminster to check it out since it is family owned. The food was presentable and looked so amazing. The way it was chopped and presented was impressive. Li the owner greeted me when I walked in and my server also was very kind! I want to preface this review with the fact that the server was very nice, polite and attentive. With that said, tonight was our first visit to this restaurant after searching the best reviews. We splurged and ordered the family dinner for two, which included the pupu platter. The cost per person was $16.25 each. No real healthy choice meal options were offered at this price, so we ordered combo Lomein and sesame chicken. 1. Pupu platter- we were dismayed that the chocho (beef on stick) came out literally burnt to a crisp. I had to immediately send it back. I am shocked they would let that go out of the kitchen in the first place. 2. Fried shrimp on platter was slightly burnt and not much shrimp. It was like a flat overcooked shrimp pancake. 3. Eggroll and wontons were slightly overbrown. Ribs had no flavor. Lomein wasn't bad, had a good amount of meat in it. Sesame chicken my husband said tasted kind of funny. The fried rice is terrible. No egg, no vegetables. Bland is best way to describe. Appears to me that they are really cutting corners and should better train their cooks. On a final note, immediately after dinner while driving home, my husband got dizzy and had to pull over. Don't know if it was just a coincidence, but that has never happened before. I really tried to give this place a shot, but the completely burnt chocho turned me off to this place. Worst customer service I've ever experienced, my order was wrong, twice, then the owner (presumably) called me out at the table. Two of my coworkers had to step in and explain to her I ordered beef not chicken and white not fried rice. This place is such a gem. It's located in a shopping center, making it very unassuming. First of all, there isn't a buffet, just a menu. We went with one of the "dinner for two" options. You definitely want to come hungry. It included a huge appetizer sampler platter, soup and two entrees. The hostess seemed to be a little preoccupied with her phone conversation, that was not an order, and took her time getting off of the phone. That was slightly annoying.
