Hi, I just brought a 10 piece veggie dumplings from the Columbus Circle underground store. It was order 35 , Date was 1-1-24, at 16:52:31PM. The veggie inside the dumplings was awfully stale and I was not able to eat that. I had 2 friends who were visiting from out of town, and also could not eat the veggies. I am genuinely surprised. These are one of (if not) the best dumplings I've ever tasted. I expected your run-of-the-mill food court on-the-go generic meat treat, and in return I was greeted with the literal embodiment of happiness. I always walk past Lisa's Dumplings and want to try it. Dumplings are being made fresh all day every day and there's always a line. Finally, I stopped and got 7 pork and green pepper and 7 chicken and green pepper and they were delicious. You could tell they were made fresh and were delicious and clearly not from your local corner shop. They had their own distinct flavor and texture and were hot and yummy even when I took them home and ate them 20 minutes later. The skin was perfectly crispy while staying just the right amount of chewy. During my lunch I've decided to try their dumpling, I was also interested in their cabbage salad and proceeded to ask if the cashier could provide additional information. The cashier responded "ah I don't know what's in there, ah I thing vinegar or something" followed by "do you want it?" The response was also done in a way as if I had cramped his style by making his life more difficult. He didn't roll his eye but I am sure it was on his mind. Direct question to the owner: is it too much to ask what other ingredients are in the salad? Do you thing the cashier should have some idea what is being sold? Do you think this is acceptable behavior towards customers? It is clear that the cashier does not want to be there and has absolutely no interest in selling dumplings. I've been here a few times and had mediocre experiences but I decided to give them one more shot. 10 pork and Sauerkraut Dumplings for $15. The skin is so thick and the meat was so overcooked. The dumplings have incredible flavor! I ate the chicken and cabbage dumpling. You can get other options like Vegan, Beef, Pork, and etc. They are served in 7 or 14 dumpling portions.
