This place is a classic old-fashioned breakfast/lunch diner by day, but the new Filipino pop-up restaurant is another reason to TGIF. mediocre at best. I like having a quiet friendly place to sit,relax and eat between classes sometimes but the Menu is way too big and the food isn't that great. The best thing I have had here is burger and fries. Fries appeared to be home made which I appreciate. They have "specials" listed for everyday but the prices are inconsistent. can't you just have a rotating daily special offered for $5.99 or something realistic? Been here twice, first time for lunch and the second time for breakfast. For lunch I ordered the Chicken teriyaki Sandwich which tasted just as good as it looked. For Breakfast I ordered the short stack pancakes which came with eggs & your choice of sausage or bacon. I love it here because it's staff friendly, affordable, & if you order coffee you get free refills! Also they have an outside patio which is super cute during the summer time. read more

I went there regularly until I ordered a sandwich with Caesar salad instead if house salad. I was charged full price for salad which was more than the sandwich. So I also never got a "side" with the sandwich. I was not told before hand about the costly extra charges! Food is great but I felt really cheated. Enough so that I will NEVER go back!! My mom and I came here for the first time the other day. As soon as we walked in, the sign said "seat yourself." Usually i don't like when a sign says that because usually they don't see us and make us wait forever but here As soon as we sat down they were there to get our drink order. Very quick service. My mom and I decided to split a omelet. They were very accommodating. They even split our omelet for our us onto separate plates. We got the veggie omelet. the veggies were cooked perfectly. They never let my water or coffee empty. As we were leaving my mom spilt her water and the waiter was quickly there to clean it up. Excellent service, excellent food. I will be back. read more

As I was craving breakfast for lunch and wanted to try somewhere new I found this place on Yelp and thought why not? When I arrived I found my own seat and was helped right away by one of the staff members. The coffee was decent and I was looking at the menu, when a nice waitress came to help. She offered to give me extra time, but since I was already ready she took my order. The food came shortly after and while it tasted okay, the food wasn't really hot at all, it was just warm. But I chose not to say anything because I had to head back to work and thought it wasn't the biggest deal. The difficult part was after when I felt sick the entire rest of the day and didn't have the appetite to eat dinner. It was extremely hard to get through the rest of the day and I'm not quite sure what part of my meal made me sick, but it was frustrating and not fun. Not sure if I will go back again sometime soon, but the staff was really nice and helpful. read more

We drive 10 miles past many other diners to eat at Lita's on a Sunday. I almost hesitate to give the place a good review. It's hard enough to get a spot some mornings! There is nothing negative to say about Lita's (except it's 10 miles away). Menu is extensive, the breakfast specials are all fantastic (try the Chicken Fried Steak or the Breakfast Burrito), portions are good, service is very friendly and prompt, prices are low, low, low. If you go for dinner remember it is a diner, not a steakhouse, however it's better than Applebee's and cheaper, without the insincere greetings from the servers! One last thing often overlooked in restaurant reviews except for when it's bad; the bathroom is spotless and nicely decorated. May seem like an odd thing to throw in but check it out, I've seldom seen a nicer restaurant bathroom. How much do you get put off by a nice restaurant when their restrooms aren't properly taken care of? It's the behind-the-scenes touches that prove that Lita et al really care about their business and their customers. See you there Sunday? BTW, I see some positive reviews that only give 3 stars. It's a diner people, it says so at the top under "Category". Don't say it's a really good diner considering it's a diner then rate it low because it's not John Ash! I absolutely LOVE Litas Cafe. My family and I, boyfriend and I, friends all love Litas. The staff is great, the run around the cafe working their butts off, it shows. The hard work pays off too, they get your food to you pretty quickly considering they are ALWAYS busy. The breakfast is my absolute favorite! Their french toast, scrambled eggs, breakfast burritos, they serve spam and eggs which I love, they offer tortillas instead of toast with fresh homemade salsa. Hash browns are on point, I recommend those over the potatoes any day. Their lunch menu is great as well, lunch specials are yummy. I recommend it, check it out. read more

A $5 breakfast special is not enough to offset lackluster food that we waited ages for. The coffee was burnt and stale, we couldn't drink it. My mom and I split the Ortega omelette, which was pretty good. The green chills were a tasty filling, but the eggs were overcooked and the homemade biscuit wasn't flaky or buttery. Overcooked hashbrowns and eggs on the other two plates at our table make this place easily forgettable. The only highlight was the homemade salsa. read more

Lita's is definitely an improvement over the mediocre Chinese restaurant that used to occupy this strip-mall locale. This is a good spot for breakfast if you happen to wake up in the J.C. neighborhood and aren't up to driving or walking too far. However, there are certainly better places around town. The hash browns are good and crispy -- unfortunately, so are the eggs sometimes -- at this average middle-American diner. Their omelets appear to be more similar to "scrambles" than actual omelets but the spinach one is pretty good, nonetheless. Lunch is quite a bit less impressive. The sandwich ingredients aren't the freshest and just seem all around sub-par by our Sonoma County standards. Lita's prices are better than average, attracting the older, Social Security set. My wife and I were staying at the Hilton Wine Country and this was pretty close by. We tried it one day for breakfast and came back a couple of days later for a second visit. Lita's is a great place to get some home style cooking at a reasonable price. I love the chicken fried steak and cream gravy. The wait staff is always nice, and treats the many regular customers with obvious friendliness and affection. In fact, the amount of regulars is a tip about what a good place it is. Ordered 2 plates. Eggs Benedict with a crab cake and huevos rancheros with eggs over-easy. 30 minutes after ordering we were told there was an issue with the deep fryer and they couldn't do the crab cake, so we got it on avocado instead. 10-15 minutes later our food came out. The eggs Benedict seemed fine, but the eggs on the huevos rancheros were scrambled instead of over easy. Service was prompt when we walked in the door, but that's about the only good note I have. This is my go-to place during the week when I don't feel like cooking dinner. The prices are reasonable & they have what I call 'good ole southern hospitality'! The menu is probably 6 pages long but my husband & I usually get the top sirloin or prime rib (Fri/Sat/Sun) that comes with perfectly cooked veggies & potatoes. They will cut back on the butter in veggies if you ask & double your salad if you're cutting back on carbs. The decor is a little mismatched but it's a diner & it's neat & clean. There's a few tables outside w/ umbrellas that is nice for a change in scenery. Breakfast is good too & it's served all day. read more

We were visiting and just happened to find this place, thanks to Yelp! We weren't starving, so we shared a plate and it was a perfect amount for two. We split the California breakfast burrito and a side of fruit. The burrito was outstanding!! There were so many unique ingredients for a breakfast burrito, and we kinda wished we would have ordered 2!! But it was plenty of food. The 2 star rating that someone gave is a joke. I have been going to litas since they day they opened and when she had her original restraraunt. Never, never, have I had a bad meal. If it's so bad, why was lunchtime today standing room only and had to wait in the rain for a table. If you are expecting John ash from a little cafe, your a moron.
