Ohhhhh I was so upset today. I was very disappointed. It has a lways been great quality food. I went up here to enjoy some delicious food. I ordered a cup a gravy, and few sandwiches. Ate breakfast here for the first time this past week. Was highly recommended by a friend. Is a very small dine-in area but is clean and cozy. The drive-through business was constant the whole time I was there. The workers were very friendly and courteous. I had sausage and egg biscuit and a cup of decaf coffee. The biscuit breakfast was very good and the coffee was excellent and also nice and hot, as I like it. No problem getting a coffee refill. Look forward to trying other biscuit breakfasts as well as the breakfast plate. An excellent place to get a quick breakfast. I had high expectations for this place and although it was not bad per say it wasn't amazing either. I ordered a egg cheese and chicken biscuit through the drive through. The biscuit was huge but it lacked that slightly salty taste and a little bit crunchy texture. The chicken was a breaded chicken cutlet and not a piece of fried chicken that I was expecting. The lady at the drive though was prompt and very nice so customer service seems to be above average. I don't think I would go back to try another meal. read more

When thinking about what the last places I would eat in the south before leaving Atlanta (as seen on talk threads) I mentioned this spot then went to look it up. I am shocked that no one has ever reviewed this place. I love it. I mean I love it so much that I broke my Yom Kippur fast. Basically I have to drive past Little Barn to go pick up my mom before heading to synagogue. The whole way before I got to the Big L, I was thinking "Steph this is a trick, don't stop, whatever you do keep fasting". That lasted until I saw the best biscuit place in the south. Then I realized I had to stop, but even worse is that I had to bring my brother and mom down with me. I got my favorite: a chicken biscuit, though their egg biscuit is good stuff too. You can get all other things on the biscuits like bacon, sausage, canadian bacon, and random other stuff that I never get because I dig on chicken. They also serve bbq for lunch, but I have never had that either. From about 5:30 until 10 they serve breakfast and if you go be forewarned that the line inside the building will be long and that the cars waiting in the drive through will be wrapped around the building. Anyways, go and get some kick ass biscuits and check out the newly revamped Lawrenceville city square; after 80+years (not really sure, but its been a long while) they now serve booze in the city limits. I have lived in the area for eight years now and pass by this place every morning on my way to work. There is always a line. I finally decided to give this place a try for breakfast and was very disappointed. The biscuits were huge, but they sucked. The chicken we got in one of the biscuits was so dry it made me think of how a piece of cardboard would taste. The country ham wasn't edible because of how salty it was. I know ham is naturally salty, but this was just stupid! The Philly steak was not steak and not Philly. I find the places outside of the perimeter that have lines like this place generally give a lot of food that really sucks. I guess quantity over quality matters for a lot of people. The only reason I gave this place two stars is because it cost us $10 bucks for four biscuits. Oh, and I did try this place for lunch a few years back and had bbq. We got there around 11:30 and missed breakfast. The bbq was horrendous! It makes Sonny's look like a five star gourmet. read more

Just visited The Little Barn for the first time. The short version: damn good biscuits. The long version: it's a small building right next to hwy 20 so it's no surprise that most of their business is drive through. But I wanted the full experience so my wife and I opted to eat inside. The dining area was quaint and cozy. The bathrooms are very clean(good sign). The staff was friendly and welcoming. The coffee was fresh and good enough to drink black. The food came out quickly and was obviously made fresh. We ordered a chicken egg and cheese biscuit, red link egg and cheese, a side of gravy, and grits. The cat head biscuits were buttery and soft. The eggs were fluffy and cooked perfectly. You'll never want a biscuit from a chain again. The grits were a surprise. Most places have a hard time with grits and you tend to get used to watery bland grits. But these were cooked and seasoned perfectly. Usually as soon as I get an order of grits I immediately grab the salt and pepper but I gave these a shot without adding anything, and I'm glad I did. The bottom line: it's probably safe to say that any biscuit on the menu is going to be the same quality that I had. So no matter what you order you will leave very satisfied. read more

While it was OK (and the biscuits were big), however it really was not a great deal different than a McDonald's breakfast. It was a busy place though - seemed to have a steady stream of regulars. These biscuits are as big as my head, and SO good--fluffy, yet firm enough not to just crumble all over your lap. The chicken and sausage were just meh, but the gravy was delicious and the country ham was awesome. Really good biscuits with sometimes surly service (oddly enough, they really do seem to treat you better if you are more blue collar: wear coveralls - they smile at you, business casual - you get your food shoved at you. They are in an insanely great location for selling breakfast biscuits. I haven't tried the breakfast menu but the BBQ sandwich was just ok and smaller than expected. The stew looked like it would be great (finer consistency except for a few large shreds of chicken), but it surprisingly tasted too much like black pepper. The peach cobbler was cheap and decent for the price, but too syrupy to be considered GOOD. Overall I'd say its OK but the BBQ fare ain't comparable to others around. Finally made it to this place for breakfast. The last time my husband went was pre Y2K. We all ordered the sausage, egg and cheese biscuit with sweet tea! The biscuits were huge and kept us full through lunchtime. Very buttery and they don't skimp on filling it up. Be forewarned though, it is truly a "Little Barn" and there are maybe 8 tables. Giant, delicious biscuits. This place can be packed bc it is so popular, so try to go early. There is a bit of space to dine in, but not when it's busy. I had the hot link biscuit with eggs and ghost pepper cheese. I was concerned it might be too spicy, but it was the perfect spicy balance. We will always visit this place when we are in town. This place has good biscuits and great cinnamon rolls. The dining area is small but people are coming and going frequently enough to grab a spot. Food is good, cheap, and large.
