Zero complaints. This is a walk-up shop outside of the bigger "Chinooks" restaurant. The walk-up serves primarily fish and chips and a few seafood-based salads. Even with the long line, we got our food pretty quickly. The seasoned fries (sorry, chips) are delicious. The fish portions are not huge, which was appreciated. It's a bit pricey for what you get, but it's overall a nice meal and it's nice sitting next to the marina. read more

We are tourists and we're hankering for some basic fried seafood in the Seattle area but it seems most places we could find were trendy, fusion type places on one end of the scale or extremely expensive on the other end. We found Little Chinooks on Yelp and the great reviews led us there for lunch. We spent $40 for a seafood combo and fries, a salmon and fries and a coke. The salmon was tasty and breaded well. The whitefish in the seafood combo was also tasty, however there were only 2 small pieces, together with 1 shrimp, and a handful of clam strips that were 80% batter ... could barely taste any clams. In both meals, the serving of fries was tiny and the fries tasted just like the type you'd get from a frozen bag at your local grocery store. Certainly not fresh. For the price we paid, we were expecting a lot more however the meal was forgettable and not something we'd spend money on again. 2.5 stars. read more

This place is legit. It's located in the Fisherman's Terminal area where all the actual working fishermen dock their boats during the off season and it's right next to a fish market. When around that many fish experts, they damn well better have fresh food and holy crap they knocked it out of the park with their fish and chips. I got the Salmon Fish and Chips because I've never had them before and unlike white fish that is pretty forgiving if it's not perfect, I can't eat salmon that is not close to perfect and this was absolutely perfect. Prices are pretty reasonable as well for the quality of food you're getting but this isn't all that fancy of the place...that's their big brother next door if you want that. This one is just a great lunch place. One point of criticism: I have no idea what the coleslaw was doing. That's probably on me since I'm more familiar with southern slaw. read more

The fish stand beneath the main Chinook's restaurant has the best fish and chips imaginable. Chinook's is part of a chain or restaurant group and the one at Fishermen's Terminal has incredible views but I wouldn't give the food five stars. Little Chinook's though - been going there since the early 90s and it's always fantastic. Great double-dipped fries and the Manhattan clam chowder is uniquely awesome with a briny red pepper taste. Five stars! Can't go wrong ordering the Alaska cod and chips and eating on the patio overlooking the boats. read more

Dug the fries, the slaw, the tartar sauce. I don't remember whether we had chowder. Prices were reasonable for a fish joint. It was well worth the drive from Duvall. Two doors down from Chinook's at Fishermen's terminal, this is an casual fish&chips alternative. Some indoor seating and also tables around the dock. Party had the Salmon Taco, Fried Oysters, Fried Prawns and Seafood Sampler (clams, prawns, cod). Food all fresh. The Salmon taco and fried oysters were 4 stars. The seafood sampler - loved the batter on the cod. Tempura plus panko. Same on oysters. Clams just average. I'm not a fan of batter-dipped fries and were rather soggy. Main issue the made 3 vs 4 star was the service. My husbands prawns came up and sat for a long time waiting for my combo. Cold and soggy after sitting on top of the fries for so long. Number of people who ordered after us were served before us. Ran out of cole slaw. Have to ask for silverware. (How can you eat coleslaw without forks.) MIL and PIL are regulars here and love it. Could have been a solid 4. I'd recommend the fish and chips. Prawns would have good had they not sat so long. Oysters cooked perfectly. Salmon taco was a bit over cooked according to MIL, but she likes Salmon very rare. read more

I can't believe I have never been here! The food was so good I even forgot to take some pictures haha. Came on a Saturday around 11:50am after visiting Discovery Park. People were already lined up waiting for them to open. I decided I would give this place a try, I got the alaskan cod fish and chips, side of fried oysters, cup of boston clam chowder, and seasonal lemonade. I have to say - I was super impressed by the quality and taste of the food. The fish was fried nicely but still moist inside (and I don't even like fish and chips that much!), the oyster was good too and you could taste the ocean, the clam chowder and the lemonade (raspberry) were my favorite - sooooo delicious. They have tables indoors and outdoors, and use compostable bowls and utensils. Overall - amazing and I would totally come back! read more

Who was in the Seattle Northend Top 5 back in the day--and in the neighborhood? So much competition. So many variations! So much pride! L. 'Effin'. C! To truncate, we order two Lingcod fish and chips. Came with coleslaw. They ask if you want malt vinegar. They give you at least two. They give you the "Rona-bonus" of four tartar sauces and at least as many ketchup. They DO NOT want you to come up short with your take out. Sweet! Fish $ Chips order up. Ffffffhhhhhuuuuu!!!! Spicy, but-not-hot, fries with light-firm-crispy outside and fluffy inside. No droopy fries! Awesomely firm. Tight! The tempura crust Lingcod Chips? Dang! Luscious texture. The perfect threshold combo of breading structure and flaky meat that stood up to tartar sauce dredging. Coleslaw? Not the garden variety mayo-based slaw, but red cabbage in a light (rice?) vinaigrette. Surprisingly refreshing. A brilliant idea for to help one dodge a fried food coma. Gotz style. In the end, sitting on a bench and gazing north upon the weathered, working fishing boats moored at their terminal, I realized that Little Chinook never slacked off from their 30 years of LC, like a similar number of 'Rona-periscoping" food joints doing their best to keep the snorkel above water, also sells beer and wine, so you can heighten your take out with a suitable pairing. Pretty underwhelmed by the portions on the combo: 2 small pieces of fish, 1 shrimp, and a sprinkle of tiny, overcooked clam strips. Fries that other reviewers are raving about are legitimately basic frozen fries. Don't get me wrong I love a solid frozen fry, but they were nothing to write home about. The salmon in tempura batter was the better choice, something a little different than your average fish and chips. Super convenient place to stop and have lunch by the water. There's outdoor seating with not so fancy table and chairs but the weather was amazing so that's all that matters. We grabbed cod and chips served with fries and a side of coleslaw. The fish tasted like it just came out of the water that morning! THE BEST fish and chips in Seattle!! Gotta try their seasonal lemonade which is fresh made. I prefer the panko fried true cod fish and chips, but if you want higher grade less fishy white fish try the halibut or the ling cod. The salmon is to die for, too. The sampler is good if you want to try a little of everything like their prawns, cod and clams. Dont forget to get a bowl of chowder. The bowl is big enough for two people and its delicious. I love the Boston (white) but there's also the Manhattan (red) and New Jersey (combo), too. Don't waste your time at Ivars. Little Chinooks got them beat. Pike Place doesn't rate either. Fish and chips done right, at the marina, plenty of outside seating. I had ling cod and clams. Both were exception. Clams deserve an extra shout out because they were legit -- not just those fishy little breaded gummy worms moonlighting as clams. Excellent tartar and cocktail sauce, as well. read more

I ordered the salmon and chips it had a tempura type beer battery flavor, and the chips are always delicious!! The tartar sauce is very delicious too. The slaw was refreshing and all in all this lunch was a great way to break the fast I was in. I hope to return soon!! read more

This is an excellent place to socially distance during the pandemic. You can eat outside under a covered awning and the tables are spread out conveniently, given these obnoxious times. You can meet your elderly parents, all masked up, and discuss tragedies such as the recent death of RBG whilst discussing CBD gummy bears and the power of dreams. And of course, the importance of Getting-Out-The-Vote ! My go-to these days are the salmon tacos; delicious and nutritious. The clam chowder is pretty tasty as well. I pair it with a can of Hale's IPA. The one thing I would recommend, obtain Sauvignon Blanc in a can. MOST wine aficionados do not like Chardonnay (unless it's on the buttery side), and that is currently all they carry, in a can. Additionally, they have hand sanitizer readily available for all customers, which is extremely helpful when eating food with your hands! read more
