so that was delicious. was so tired after a long and hot day and we decided on korean. just wow. the banchan was phenomenal. they had all my faves (kimchi obviously, radish, bean sprouts, fish cakes) and the scallion pancake was so delicious with its sauce. miso soup was an underdog. bibimbap, didn't eat it because i'm pescetarian but my girls loved it and loved the soy ginger wings just as much. i got the shrimp bokkeum and that was equally spicy and delicious. the udon being a little crispy changed me and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. flavour of everything 10/10
A small off the beaten Korean restaurant where the vibes are cozy, the food is excellent, and the price point is good. Just make sure you have cash as it's cash only - they have an ATM in the back.
I got the ttuckmandoo guk and jt was okay - wasn't anything too special. A clean soup that is good for a hangover or when you want something light on the stomach. Fish cakes and dumplings seemed like they just unfroze and tossed in some broth. The tteokboki also was not very good - and I was surprised to see hash browns on the menu at a Korean restaurant but I still got one anyways lol Very nice area and just across the street from a big park. Service was kind and friendly
I arrived at the restaurant around 6:40pm on a Saturday night, and from what I saw there was a lot of space available to eat indoors and outdoors. They had ample seating no wait for both. I asked for a seat for two people. The waitress said sure have a seat around the corner there is a table ready for you. I went and had a seat. She came to my table right after with a nasty attitude saying, "Where is the other person?" I said, "she's heading over and will be here in five minutes." The waitress said with the same attitude, "when it's Friday or Saturday we need the entire party to be seated together. So, she has to get here in five minutes." Okay, I totally get it if there's a mad rush for tables, every table is filled which it wasn't, and there is a line out the door. None of which happened! I'm like wth! Left a bad taste in my mouth. My friend arrives less than five minutes. We ordered food after a bit. Ordered the KFC - Korean Fried Chicken. Eight pieces of wings in spicy dokebi sauce. It was more on the spicy side, glad that I didn't order the really spicy one. Also, ordered two Kalbi Tacos which was tasteless even with the sauce on the side. I've definitely had better. Just got one banchan as a side dish the pickled white mu radish. I mean out of everything the banchan was the best. It doesn't say much! I always pass by this place on my walks across the bridge and wanted to try it as the name was cute. But with the sub par service (I asked for one napkin and the waitress returns much later with it, did she go to the moon to get it?!) and the food being eh, I won't be returning.
The cutest little place with the most appetizing food that is filling and delicious! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Warm environment and great service!
My favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. It's always busy but you usually won't have to wait for a table. The light and ambience are excellent as it looks right out over the park. The kimchi soup is my favorite in New York! The staff is always friendly and attentive. Can't recommend enough!
This place was on my list for a while and I'm glad I tried it! We sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and quick. We had an interesting take on a Moscow mule that was great. Our food was great too! The kimchi platter was stand out - especially the dried squid omg. All the way up to the matcha and taro ice cream dessert, whole meal was great. Inside and out there's great seating, especially outside - lots of spots as this place is on a corner and uses both sides of the street. Overall will definitely come back
Definitely a spot worth the visit! Ambience is great and there is indoor and outdoor seating. We walked in on a Friday evening and were able to get a table for 4. Restaurant is cash only but they have an atm indoors which is convenient. Everyone at the restaurant was kind, friendly, and helpful. Drinks were unique and refreshing - I got the Seoul Mule which I really enjoyed. Food-wise I tried the vegetable dumplings and the bibimbap with chicken. Both were good! We were also served banchan side dishes which were delicious. Note that you should ask about vegetarian options as many items that seem vegetarian may not be because of ingredients in the sauce. However, the restaurant was very accommodating for us and allowed us to make substitutions in certain dishes to make it vegetarian.

I was a bit tempted by the merchandise -- I love a clean food drawing. They also have complimentary barley tea for those who are waiting for pickup, and currently have a discount on pickup orders, so do take advantage. Just a note that they are cash only, though there is an atm inside. A friend and I split the ttuckppokki (rice cakes), the dokebi spicy fried chicken (8 piece), and the vegetarian scallion pancake. We thought it was plenty of food, and all delicious. The rice cakes were soft and chewy, and amazing in the sauce. I also loved the texture of the pancake and the flavoring of the fried chicken. The sour of pickled radish side that came with was a good complement to the salty, crispy, oil-lavished chicken skin. The barley tea was a refreshing treat in itself, and good as a palate cleanser before and after. Our ordering process was fairly straightforward, and they also have an outdoor dining setup for those inclined. Oh, and I thought it was adorable that they had custom covers for their takeaway chopsticks. Overall, a solid meal and a satisfactory soothe to my Korean food craving.
Ordered through doordash at 10PM. Perhaps they chose to put in whats left of the kitchen but this "bibimbap" looked like a 1/2 a burrito bowl. The seaweed chips are a joke. The ban Chan was prob the highlight of this meal. I do not recommend ordering from here
Really yummy Korean spot right next to the park. We went in on a Thursday night without a reservation and were able to snag a table fairly easily. I ordered the bibimbap and it was delicious and filling. The portion was large as well. I had to get a box to take the leftovers home. It's a bit of an inconvenience that it is a cash only establishment, but the server told me they also take Venmo. read more
A friend had been telling me to come here for years. So finally for her birthday, we decided to trek out to green point and try a friend favorite. My only wish is that I came here sooner. This Korean restaurant offers the best dishes the cuisine has to offer. We all split many dishes and each ordered a Bimbimbap hot stone which I have been dreaming about since I've ordered it. Not only was that amazing, but their wings; crunchy, flavorful and HOTTTTT. they served it with these vinegar cubes (radish, if I had to guess) that totally cuts the spice. A great discovery that night. The drinks are fun and use Korean inspired flavors. They have large windows so it got a little chilly sitting at the front, but the heat was coming at our feet which helped. Food came out quick. For a large party, they were speedy and thoughtful. This location is not the greatest. It was our first time here. Try the one in WB or order from the market delivery! Their consistency at the other locations are nearly flawless. We came here for dinner thinking it would be just as good as the other locations. We've dined in and ordered take out from other locations and it's always been delicious! Not sure if they had an off day today but the food was not up to par. The soup we ordered was probably the best but it was slightly on the warm/ cold side. Our octopus with udon noodles was cold and overly salty. I usually love this with the side of rice but we could not finish it. It was too over seasoned. The pork shoulder was also cold. We wouldn't send anything back or complain since it's covid and we get that some places have off days. Our service was super nice though. Very attentive and friendly. The outdoor dining space is super spacious and a great addition to the establishment. When you dine in they serve you banchan in plastic to go containers which we think is super wasteful/ bad for environment. (They don't do that at tithed location ). We'll still order take out and dine in at WB location! read more

I like this place, this is one of the closest Korean restaurants in neighborhood. I order their takeout sometimes. (They have 20% discount for takeout if you pay by cash.) Last time I ordered Soondub chige, and I was super surprised about how much rice they gave me!! I was like, is this someone's left over? I swear I would never seen this small amount of rice in the US.lol I've been South Korea before, they do better, they don't disappoint me like this. I still go probably, but I'm wishing you can be more legit, authentic Korean restaurant... read more

Was looking for something to fulfill our Korean food cravings and we just so happend to find this place e and decided to give it a shot since we are not usually in this area. Nice cozy spot, completely unexpected. They had some authentic korean dishes that matched their expected taste (and spice level) including some other variants like the pork belly burrito! Unfortunately its cash only, and in a very millennial run age you would expect about everything to accept card at this point. Environment was a little dark but cozy enough to enjoy a drink after work with friends. The service was also very well executed with friendly staff. The atmosphere seemed really good at first with small candles on every table. Unfortunately, when the sun set it was too dark to see what I was eating. I tried their seafood bibimbap, soondubu, and fried chicken. Personally, I thought they were all mediocre. The seafood wasn't particularly fresh and the spicy fried chicken was definitely on the spicier side (but I don't hold that against them). Also, note that this place is cash only! read more
Little Dokebi is a very interesting spot. Nestled deep in Greenpoint, Little Dokebi is not the kind of Korean restaurant you would normally think to try as it's not as authentic as many people seem to like for their NYC Korean cuisine experience, however, missing this spot would be a mistake. We popped in for dinner and were greeted to a delightful rustic atmosphere, with wood covering most of the surfaces and areas, giving me the feeling of something between a country western film and a spot grabbed out of ancient Korean culture. Food wise, everything seems familiar to someone well versed in Korean cusuine or who frequents K-Town. From the pajeon to the banchan and even the taste of the kaibli we had, everything is delicious and we'll presented. The alcohol selection is also great with a nice selection of imported beers and souju. Do I have any complaints? Well, it's cash only, and while they have an ATM, Id recommend to anyone not to use a non-bank ATM, ever. Not really a knock on Little Dokebi, just an FYI. Otherwise, it was a solid dinner. More of a Brooklyn-esche interpretation of Korean food rather than authentic, but still tasty and worth the trip! read more

Went to Little Dobeki not knowing anything about the place. Got the bibimbap with chicken in the stone pot and it was awesome. Huge portions and also received additional toppings to add/ eat on the side like kimchi, bean sprouts, cress grass, etc. I definitely plan on returning. Seating is limited and they only take cash so keep that in mind. read more

This place is pretty good, I wouldn't call it traditional Korean food but it is good, wasn't impressed though. I got the bibimbap with the stone bowl it was tasty. My husband had the shrimp bokum - definitely spicy, but good. read more
