Monsieur Alpine with housemade chips and a side of ranch for dipping
    Misty D.

This new place opened up not long ago in the space that was Kimzey's. The food was good, my dad and I had the Monsieur Alpine with housemade chips and the white chicken green chili and my mom had the root salad. We got there shortly after opening on a Friday and good thing because it filled up superfast! You order at the counter and take a number to your table anywhere you want to sit and they bring the food to you. Service was quick and the food was nice and hot. It's a little odd and quirky feeling, but something new. We knew several people who came in shortly after us and everyone was enjoying what they ordered.

    Dining in the gondola!

Awesome, friendly service at the counter. Everything was hot and fresh and our grilled cheese sandwiches were great. The pizza is unusual and not something I would consider traditional in the sense that the crust and the cheese don't stay together. Grab a slice and all the cheese and sauce slide off. My kids liked it a lot more than I did. Dining in the ski gondola was fun and made us feel like we were in a cozy little house. Definitely try to grab it if it's open, your kids will love it too. We love that there is another dining option in Argyle!

Today was my first visit to this new restaurant. Terrific menu with a great variety of sandwiches, soups and salads. I chose the Apres Brie (gourmet grilled cheese) with Parmesan cheese French fries. It was delicious, and the fries are so good! They also have meals prepared in the market area for those nights you need help with quick dinner ideas. They have a gondola in the market area you can sit in and eat. Fits the little chalet decor. Definitely worth a visit and I will be a returning customer.

Amazing place!!! I got the Cobb, my grandma got the Brie Grilled Cheese, and my dad and sister got the Chicken Salad Sandwich. The whole family love it!!! The costumer service was great, Jessica was very kind and made our experience even better!

However, as time goes on service and customer care seems to be declining. I'm in my mid 60s and have white hair, but the cashiers never offered the senior citizen discount unless you ask for it. I had good Birria tacos one time. The next time I went, they dipped them in consume, but didn't sear them off on the flat top so they were crispy so I ended up eating mush. That was my last review and I still gave him three stars for that mediocre attempt at a taco. I've been going to 407 BBQ for many years and I'm well aware of his sign that says if you don't specify, you get what you get no returns lean or fatty. Well I did specify, but the hostess didn't write it down on my order. OK you know what I am disappointed as all hell but that's my mistake since I didn't look at the receipt. Fine, but if you look at the receipt where I ordered a pound of brisket to go that clearly says lean, and it's a hell of a lot closer to fatty than lean. Look at my pictures below. That will tell you everything you need. My wife ordered the burger, which is normally very good and one of the more difficult choices that I have to make in life barbecue or burger. But this time it seems as though they put garlic salt on the burger or some sort of garlic flavoring which overpowers their burger we've never had to specify no garlic before, but maybe something has changed that I'm not aware of. Maybe he felt they needed to be more mainstream? Who knows. With the proliferation of really stellar barbecue now available around DFW I can no longer recommend 407. Maybe he's got too many young kids maybe I'm not aware and he sold out. Maybe he's gone corporate. I'm not sure what's going on. Maybe there's something going on in his life I'm not aware of and he's preoccupied with that. But I think I'm done with 407. He could've easily responded to my yelp review on the mediocre taco disaster, but he didn't. He didn't attempt to make it right. I published my receipt and he can go back in his system and see who I am. He's got my full name and phone number, but I doubt he'll contact me. It's a shame when he was working out of a small wooden shack, there seemed to be a lot more care about Customer Service and Support. There's always my standby Angelo's downtown Fort Worth, North Texas smoke out near Decatur, which is actually closer to me than 407 but has limited hours. Hutchins in Trophy Club and Daynes's barbecue in Aledo. I wish Brian and the 407 crew all the best. Hopefully they get things back

We hadn't been since their renovation. Yayyy, Earl's! Not so fast. The prices have gone up quite a bit and the quality, way down. We ordered the Italian Cobb and it was good but a bit sparse - not packed full of all the yumminess it's made of anymore. Nonna's meatballs were the biggest disappointment. They have gone up almost $5 I believe and whoever's Nonna made them, overcooked or microwaved them to death. They used to be SO good! Now, they aren't. We ordered 3 pizzas - the Bianca, the Margherita and the BBQ Arezzo. The Bianca was good, the Margherita was good but a little sparse and the BBQ Arezzo was awful. Like, nobody would eat it awful and that's pretty bad. I don't know if ingredients were bad or what but there was little to no sauce and it was just...bad. So bad that I called and spoke to the manager that offered a free pizza - NO thanks - or a refund. I opted for the refund and because we still have not gotten a refund for the 1 pizza only, I decided to write a review. We have literally been going to Earl's for YEARS and it has always been amazing. I looked past the prices going up because the price of food had gone up but when nobody will eat the food because it tastes horrible or is overcooked and we have spent close to $100, I'm out. Not sure what's going on but they definitely need a new Nonna to whip them back into shape.

Fortunately, it did not occur too often. The half and half in my coffee had leaked into the bottom of the nearly empty container. My waitress promptly replaced it with a container from a nearby booth. While sipping my coffee, I noticed an unusual texture on the rim. The mug had a slight chip, but I managed to overlook it. Instead of taking my food order when she served my coffee, she immediately left to attend to other tables. This unexpected delay gave me a chance to admire the muffins displayed in the case. When I spotted a Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip muffin, I decided to order a light breakfast and went with the Chorizo Tacos. Holding the tortilla prevent the toppings from falling out was a bit of a challenge. The red salsa lacked heat, while the green salsa provided a pleasant kick. Both salsas had softened the tortillas, making them unable to hold the ingredients securely. My hash browns were my favorite style--crispy on top and moist on the inside. If I had not planned on ordering a muffin, I would have easily enjoyed more than a couple bites. For someone who enjoys the combination of chocolate and peanut butter, the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip muffin was delicious. Most of the chocolate chips were placed on top, with a smaller amount mixed into the batter. If I wanted a less chocolatey experience, I could simply skip the muffin top. But why would I do that?

First, the overall service has consistently been lacking. The hostess at the front has never been particularly welcoming, and the service in general feels pretty disengaged. It's not necessarily outright rude - it just feels like there's no real effort, which sets the tone right away. We've noticed a big decline over the past 6-12 months. It used to be better, but lately it's just not the same. As for the food... it's simply not worth the price. We're talking $100+ tabs and leaving disappointed every time. This last visit really sealed it for us. I ordered something very simple, and my son got a basic chicken sandwich - chicken, bun, pickles, ketchup, cheese. It came out with a barely toasted bun and chicken that tasted like it had been fried in old grease. Not appetizing at all. We also ordered cheese fries, and they were undercooked and just drenched in queso - more like a bowl of cheese with fries tossed in, rather than properly melted, crispy cheese fries. This isn't a one-time experience either - we've tried several times hoping it would improve, and it just hasn't. If you're going for drinks and to watch a game, it might be okay. But for a full meal, especially at that price point, we wouldn't recommend it. Sadly, this last visit was enough for us - we won't be returning.

When I ordered the Golden Milk Latte, the cashier informed me that it did not contain espresso. She mentioned that espresso could be added for an extra charge. I asked if the espresso would affect the flavor, and she said it would be slightly noticeable. As I searched for an alternative beverage, she mentioned it a few more times. Ultimately, I decided to go with the Golden Milk Latte. My order was served at the same time as the customers ahead of me. Interestingly, my coffee was served in a mug, while theirs were in takeout cups, even though they were drinking theirs indoors. I would have preferred a takeout cup for my coffee so I could continue with my errands. The sausage roll was served with a fork, which was convenient since it was still hot from the oven. A knife would have made it easier to cut into smaller pieces. I am not sure if I was mistakenly served a regular sausage roll or if they have a different definition of spicy. The bland flavor of the sausage had me the pastry to it. The Golden Milk Latte was average at best. Most of the turmeric was on top of the coffee, and I could not taste it when I sipped the latte underneath. Since the latte was not served with a spoon, I did not expect to stir the turmeric into the latte itself. I might have had a better experience if I had opted for a regular latte and skipped the sausage roll.
