Alana's Swedish Oatmeal Pancake Mix with Warm Cinnamon Apples

Service is really good and friendly. The Florentine scramble and raisin scone were excellent recommendations by our server. This has to be a top ten breakfast nook in the area for a small family owned establishment.

Weekend brunch! Tell hostess name and group number, you will need to wait nearby. Waited about 15 minutes, was able to walk down to farmers market, scroll a bit and made it back to be seated. Although the cafe is not large, great layout so you do not feel squish. Menu had plenty of option, ordered a company's coming with coffee cake ($21.75), and stack of Swedish pancake with bacon ($17.25). Coffee cake was good and unique to this cafe. Also prefer coffee cake to bread. As for the company's coming, I think the order needed to be slightly larger to justify the price, even a few more potatoes would have made it better. Had one poached egg and one overcooked egg. Taste was okay, it was somewhat bland, a bunch of veggies and sausage toss together with potato. The three stack Swedish pancake could have used way more bacon! Overall, the food was alright, some unique items, but the service was excellent!

A popular brunch spot on the weekends! My friend and I came around 10:30 AM and we were lucky to be seated immediately. Tables are crowded together, giving the space a cute neighborhood feel. The staff are super friendly and warm, making all customers feel at home. I was very surprised that coffee cake and scones were offered as options for bread on the menu -- you could really have a decadent breakfast here! I got the California Scramble and an orange juice. Juice was good, no pulp. The scramble was good too, lots of veggies and very filling. They gave me lots of toast and plenty of crispy breakfast potatoes, so I left very full and content. Would visit again in the future!

Pretty popular brunch spot in Burlingame. Do expect some type of wait on the weekends. The shop is quite narrow, so be ready to be elbow to elbow with your neighbors. They do have some tables out on the sidewalk. Not the greatest spot if you have a huge group, 4 would be your comfortable max. Prices are a bit high for what you get. You do get full, just don't expect much leftovers. Their weekend menu is limited on the savory stuff like soups and some of the sandwiches. I've tried their omelettes, quiche, and salads before. Their quiches are amazing. You get a side of fruits or salad on weekends, there is a soup option on weekdays. The flavors do change from time to time, I had a pear and bleu cheese one, can't say no to one of my favorite pairings. If you're very desperate, they do sell the whole pie to bake at home. As much as I like their quiche, their omelettes are probably more filling.

Solid breakfast spot right in the heart of downtown Burlingame. The Swedish oatmeal pancakes are straight up the bomb, especially with lingonberry and maple syrup. Super moist, perfectly cooked, the gold standard of pancakes in my book. The "Company's Calling" hits that sweet spot too, a nice mix of veggies and Italian sausage, all topped with perfectly poached eggs. Honestly, you really can't go wrong here.

This spot fills up the second they open for a reason. Known for their swedish oatmeal pancakes and fantastic service. Feels like a big family in here - everyone is so friendly and personable. They nail is with everything. The scramble was fantastic, oatmeal perfect, sourdough fresh and flavorful. You can't go wrong with any menu item here.

Small but extremely popular cafe with a few tables both inside and outside, and a small bar counter inside as well Don't take reservations, and even though me and my fiance got here 5 min before they opened there was already a line. By the time we ordered, the place was already full. They ran an incredibly efficient operation however, and our entire dining experience only took ~35min Have a good variety of breakfast staples, though they are known for their "Swedish Oatmeal Pancakes". My fiancé and I each opted for an iced latte, and we decided to split an order of banana Swedish Oatmeal Pancakes and a "Classic Alana's Breakfast" (which was comprised of scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, and breakfast potatoes. All of the things we tried were very tasty. We especially really enjoyed the seasoning that they used on their breakfast potatoes (my personal favorite) and their scrambled eggs. The Swedish Oatmeal Pancakes were unique, and you could really taste the oatmeal in them(!), but didn't blow me away. We were also disappointed that the bananas came on the side and not in, or on top of, the pancakes. The portions were pretty large, but it was also fairly expensive given the diner-esk vibes

Nice little brunch spot on Burlingame ave. Came last minute on a Sunday during brunch and were told the wait would be about 45min for a party of four. Another waitress came out and put together a table for us outside and we got seated within five minutes. Perfect! I ordered the Swedish Oatmeal Pancakes. These were absolutely delicious. Perfect balance and not overly sweet. Plus pairing it with the berry jam took it to another level. My daughter got the mac and cheese and this was just ok at best. Would pass on it next time for her. Our waitress was super nice and checked on us often throughout the meal.

My friend took my sister and I on a Sunday morning for brunch- we'd heard great things about the pancakes, and they did not disappoint! We got a stack of the swedish oatmeal pancakes with lingonberries to share- the texture was really interesting with the oatmeal and they were perfectly not too sweet. I got the farmer's garden with the famous coffee cake, which was a huge chunk that I ended up taking home but it was delicious- it tasted more like a banana bread. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked as well. My sister and friend got the sonoma scramble and the jalisco scramble, they both thought it was really yummy and loved the how seasoned the potatoes were. The service was great, they came over to refill our coffee and waters throughout our meal. We did need to wait around 20 minutes and ended up sitting inside. I'll definitely be back to try and get a seat outside next time! The space was so homey and cozy although it was pretty packed. Overall, this will definitely be one of my go-to brunch places!

I'm not sure if I missed their prices before or if they recently raised them, but I was genuinely surprised by how expensive this little mom-and-pop cafe has gotten. I get that it's in Burlingame, but it's still a casual breakfast spot--nothing fancy, and the food doesn't exactly wow. Kiddo ordered a $21 chicken sandwich. The chicken was unseasoned and came on focaccia that seemed like it gave up halfway through baking. The best part? The cucumber, tomato, and onion on the side with watery tzatziki. That says a lot. I went with the quiche I used to like, but for $18.20, the portion was tiny--more like a side than a main. My husband had a scramble that didn't impress, and he kept saying Jack's does it way better (and for less than $22). The total? Over $77 before tip. I don't mind paying for a good meal, but the food just didn't live up to the price. Probably won't be back.

We liked the food enough and the classic vibes (friendly service, a chunk of regulars, open kitchen, tables close together). It's great that you can sub out a toast for a scone! It was a good experience, but not so good that we're dying to return.

A lovely family-owned small cafe. The restaurant was a bit narrow but deep. They managed their tables well so the space between tables was not too bad. The open kitchen didn't smell strongly either. The staff was nice and friendly. The food was tasty and good portion. Home-made coffee cake was big and tasty. But, the potato was a bit too salty. We will definitely go again but maybe asked less salt in potato

I was honestly shocked walking into the restaurant and seeing that they expanded into the neighboring brick and mortar space. The ambiance was absolutely divine and felt like dining in a beautiful Italian courtyard. Such a warm and welcoming atmosphere! The staff was incredibly genuine and attentive. Huge credit to the sweet mother to be working the cashier register. I unfortunately did not catch her name, but she was so kind and caring toward my fiancé and I while we dined there, especially since I'm expecting as well. The runners and hosts were also wonderful. You can truly tell they have a great team dynamic. Now for the food... one Bay Area term: SCHMACK. Man, did I miss having such a variety of food items made to absolute deliciousness. I ordered the Palermo, hot chocolate, orange juice, and the Siena sweet crepe with no strawberries. My fiancé had the omelette and the French toast order. Everything was perfect for our cravings and tasted so fresh and comforting. We will definitely be returning with our families to celebrate our little blessing to come. Highly recommend Crepevine if you want food with a fresh taste that truly feels like home.

Buttermilk pancake and Milano crepe were fine - both were relatively sizable and tasty. New Orleans benedict was a huge miss. I'm not sure how long my plate was sitting out before it was served, but the English muffin was soggy, the egg was very overcooked/not runny at all, and the hollandaise sauce had developed a noticeable skin. The entire dish was lukewarm at best. Our food came out quickly, so it's obvious Crepevine pre-makes everything and nothing is fresh. As we were leaving, we saw a plate in the kitchen with a giant stack of pre-made crepes on it. Lastly, service was a HUGE disappointment. When we were at the cash register placing our order, the employee NEVER looked at us. Instead, she kept looking around and was very distracted, which is probably why she asked us to repeat ourselves 3 times. Then, in the MIDDLE of our ordering, she turned and started talking to a woman behind us in line. They literally proceeded to have an entire conversation while we were standing there, holding menus in our hand, waiting to finish placing our order. We should have walked out right there. After we sat down, no one ever brought us water. Our food arrived and we still didn't have water, so we had to flag someone down. That person didn't bring anything, so we had to ask another person. Everything - from water to napkins to boxes - needed to be requested multiple times. Not gonna come back again.
