My wife, mother in law, myself and my son went here for my son's 3rd birthday dinner tonight and couldn't have had a greater time. We were offered complimentary wine (2 glasses), beer, and quarters for games due to it being my son's birthday almost instantly after we got to the counter to order. With all of that we of course couldn't accept free food from the generous manager so we paid for that and he was even so kind enough to give us a fresh batch of large fries to go, instead of us bring the now semi-cold fries we had ordered home. If there was an option to give 10 stars I would do it!!! I highly recommend this place if you're looking to have a good, relaxing time where the kids can have fun and the parents can also have a great time!! This is one of the the few 5 stars I've written. The food is great and consistent. The free alcoholic beverages are a plus, too, if you're into that. The only dish we haven't enjoyed is their kids' butter pasta dish. Everything else is amazing (and we've tried a lot of things). The kids always enjoy playing on the mini iPads (lined up in the front of the restaurant and also back in the game room). They also like the arcade games too. The back patio is cute and quaint. We decided to stop in one evening for dinner with our son. Little Matt's is located right across from the Spark playground (of West U Elementary). There was a doggy water bowl placed along the outer wall on the sidewalk. They have red wooden benches for outdoor seating outside their door facing the playground. They also have more outdoor seating in the back. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the row of iPads and the wishing wall above it. I forgot to put in a much needed "wish", so we'll be back! They have a photo booth near the entrance which we also forgot about while we ate. As we were contemplating the menu, one of the owners (or manager) came by to greet us and explain how the ordering works. You place your orders up front, find a seat and they will bring the food out to you. After explaining that to us he then inquired as to how we heard about Little Matt's and was so very welcoming. He also mentioned that parents here get a complimentary glass of wine or margarita. A few minutes later, he brought around the co-owner to meet us also. Such a friendly, welcoming atmosphere! We decided on bacon cheeseburgers and for our son, we got the kids corn dog meal which comes with both fruit and fries. My son actually ate his food which instantly endeared us to this place. Our burgers were good and the garlic fries were great. The burgers come on a thick bun. The decor here is cozy and kid-friendly. They have these number structures on display up on a high shelf. On closer inspection, I saw that these structures are actually candy (like airheads) all packed together and made to resembles numbers. Amazing! They have all their condiments and utensils on the wall bordering the kids corner right after you pass the Icee station. Yes, they have Icee's here!! The little kids corner is a small rectangular room that houses your typical arcade room games along with a small row of iPads for use. They have a change machine next to the condiments table so there is no need to ask the front for change. The bathrooms here are clean and in the women's restroom they have a changing table for babies/toddlers. I have to say, I was relieved (and impressed!) to see that they had an actual changing table with a changing pad! I am not a fan of the plastic hang-off-the-wall changing tables so this was a big plus in my book! The bathrooms are just singles and not of the multi-stall variety. This is now on our list of restaurants to visit whenever we're in the West University area. I imagine the next time we come will be in the day so that our son can wear himself out on the playground across the street before we come inside for a meal. This is a very kid-friendly/family-friendly establishment! We'll be back and if you haven't yet, get on over here with your kids!! read more

An awesome experience! Searched Yelp for a good burger and headed to Little Matt's upon seeing the 4 1:2 star rating. It didn't disappoint. We were greet at the entrance by manager Tim, who immediately brought us to the counter and told us all about the menu. He was so personable and we visited about home towns, etc. We had a plain hamburger and a Comfort Texas burger .. both LOVED our burgers. We will definitely be back. I just recently discovered Little Matt's, and I love it! The food is fresh and the burgers are delicious and never over grilled. I was told that the buns are sourced from a local bakery and the meat is bought fresh everyday, all of which explains why they are so tasty. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. Small thing but I was there at closing one night and commented to the manager about how neat it was to see the nozzles on the soda fountain being cleaned. They do this every night. That tells me how much care goes into to the rest of their cleaning protocols. Worth a trip to support a great local business. read more
