Ended my trip with this blueberry pomegranate sorbet! Very good!! Coffees here are also good. Ice. Hot cold brew and frozen as well.

Grabbed my early breakfast here. Outdoor right by the beach. So liked the view. Food was all good as well as coffee in the morning. I had 2 eggs over easy with sausage and home fries with white toast. Good way to start a day at the beach.

Just paid $34 for breakfast, which was waaay high for me. Two ham & cheese omelets and an order of bacon/eggs and an orange juice and coke. Food was fine, nothing amazing or worth that price! Good thing about this spot though, to be fair, they have everything. Breakfast,Lunch, i e cream, snacks-whatever you'd want for a day at the beach.

Horrible service and employees are extremely rude. Good spot on beach and decent food but not worth dealing with the staff.

Great little place on the beach. Perfect for a quick lunch or snack. A little over priced but worth it for a beach day.

I am all for new trendy vibey establishments but there's something so special about that old school classic vibe. There is so much attention to detail when the branding was designed that mustn't be over looked. The owners are also outstanding humans and constantly giving back to the community and supporting Local fundraisers. The staffing is usually on the younger side but I can appreciate a young teenager that wants to get out there and work in the community. Social interaction is super important in one's growth and you get to experience that first hand the more often you visit. I have always had great experiences, and I believe the owners are doing things right when they are interviewing and finding goo staffing. You can tell Mel has a passion for baking/culinary/sweets and provides an absolute top notch experience. From sundaes to ice cream flights and even big kahuna challenges, there is literally something for everybody. The menu is forever changing with seasons and customer input :) I tend to bring my young boys in for a small treat on the summer weekends when we're in downtown Westerly. We purposely plan on getting there at opening which is noontime. At that time of day they are much slower than later on into the evening. This allows my picky/indecisive boys to try a few flavors before committing to something. They can also perouse all the candy/ sweet treats, which they will inevitably convince me to get something to take home with them. I highly recommend stopping in for an after dinner sundae after a nice dinner at one of the other local dining establishments Cheers *****Spoiler alert. I cannot wait to see the finished product of the step side ice cream/sweet treat truck, coming to a town near you***

The person that was behind the counter was completely immersed in the latin song that was on the radio. The decor has 1950's decorations but no 1950's music. She was unkept herself. The shake, not good at all, bland and did not ask if I wanted whipped cream, the service crappy. Need to update the facility and get help that wants to be there.

I believe it's relatively new because I've never noticed it before on Block Island and I tend to notice ice cream places. Then again it is sort of tucked away in a corner and could be hard to see. The store is small, with a counter for the scream and various candies and other treats scattered around. A couple of tables inside and a courtyard overlooking the ocean on the outside. Saying that the view is great is actually an understatement. We didn't bother with the candy but the ice cream was absolutely incredible. Smooth and rich and no doubt containing a astronomical amount of calories and fat, just the way great ice cream should be. They don't have vast amount of different types but enough variety to satisfy anybody except those looking for something very unusual. There aren't many things better in life than sitting in a beautiful spot over looking the ocean and devouring great ice cream. Even though it was hoter than hell when we were on the island, a cool breeze was coming off the water and combined with the richness and algidity of the great ice cream the world was a perfect place. At least our little part of the world. Their are lots of ice cream places in the world but The Scoop Shack is one of those special places that I will always seek out when I'm on Block Island. The place to relax and just appreciate the moment and forget everything else. The ice cream here is exceptional but no matter how good the scream is, the views will always be even better.

I tried their blueberry chocolate flavor and was surprised by chomping on hearty pieces of fresh berries and large chocolate chunks. The waffle cones are really pricey, however, and I can't state whether they're worth it or not, since I wasn't willing to shell out $8. Overall, this is a good spot if you (or your kids) are yearning for ice cream on a hot summer day and it won't hurt your wallet as long as you're all willing to share a kiddie sized ice cream =P

Flatware was top notch. Glasses were thin walled French. Condiments including tiny bottle of hot sauce were in sealed containers on each table. Salt was in a porcelain bowl. Service was impeccable from start to finish. (Pics of menu included.) Orders: Warm Lobster Roll with Truffle Frites. ($48.) for me.
