I kind of can't give it a review at all because it's not even the little mermaid anymore :(. It's the shoreline, so it kind of sucks because it's on yelp and it's on a GPS if you try to get to it ....one young lady at the other shack around the corner mentioned it's called the shoreline now. The food looks.. I would say not like what you'd want near the beach. That's not to say that they aren't busy and the food is bad. I am not saying that at all. I didn't order anything, nothing on the menu looked like what I wanted... but overall the place looks like a nice shack so it's appropriate for where it's position. read more

Food was ok for fast food. Hygiene and cleaniness was sub par as Already stated. The thing for me was the service. I approached wanting lunch food. Lunch starts at 11:30 it was 11:23 they didnt want to take my order so I ordered a drink and sat and waited till 11:30. I went and ordered and sat back down where I was sitting. There are about 5 big round tables and only one other was occupied. I was told since my food was to go, I could not sit there I had to so stand on the side(in the sun). There are sogns everywhere, dont take salt and pepper, trash is only for customers, they clearly are not customer focused and for that I will not be gong back. The guy working didn't like the private conversation two customer were having so he told the customers to wait in the parking lot. I ordered curly fries and hot dogs, the fries came warmed, not fried, not salted. I ordered hard ice-cream for the kids, the guy working wouldn't scoop different scoops into 2 scoop ice cream orders. I've never heard of such a thing. Each order, no matter the count of scoops could only be one flavor. After loading the car up to go, I brought trash back to their can. The guy said I can't use thier can for my trash. I explained that the trash was from their restaurant!! And the guy sighed and agreed. Same guy referenced elsewhere here, young, long dark hair, disheveled, smoking within the establishment. This establishment is a prime example of entitlement. The trailer is unclean, bad sanitation. This is where food is cooked. Look for yourself. You cannot order sides. Staff was not friendly or willing to give my son a side of home fries. Bad for Rhode Island especially if you are a visitor. read more

Five stars for food and location and price. This is hidden gem. Paddy's is for those who like to drink and not eat. PVI and The Andrea are at the end of the beach. This place is tucked in the middle-close to the private fire district beaches and to the motels. The breakfasts are the best. What better way to start a day at the beach with a fresh cooked, homemade breakfast including eggs, pancakes, sandwiches and home fries? Reasonably priced and the iced coffee is a must. Come back for lunch-the burgers are cooked to order, the chicken sandwich was the best I had and the fish sandwich was amazing. You can get your food to go or eat at the tables overlooking the beach. For quick food with very little wait and made fresh to order that won't bust your wallet, try Little Mermaids. I'll be back next year. read more

Breakfast outside on the beach? Are you kidding me? And the food is awesome? Yikes! This is the spot for me from now on when I'm in Misquamicut! We all had different stuff. The omelettes were great, the egg sausage and cheese on a muffin was great, the blueberry pancakes were great. The coffee was fresh and hot and the ambiance could not have been more relaxing. It's crowded and busy but we found a table outside and had a great breakfast. Make sure you check this place out! For me this is the perfect breakfast spot, especially after a night out late while on vacation. You roll out of bed, shuffle down the beach and then wait in line to order coffee and an egg muffin sandwich. Drink your coffee and wake up a little more while they make the sandwich fresh. Maybe get another cup of coffee when the egg muffin is ready. Sit at a table looking out at the ocean waves as the sun starts to warm the beach. Convince yourself that your dancing the night before wasn't as bad as Elaine on Seinfeld. Wonder where all your money went from the night before. Scratch your head over why you gave that girl with all the tattoos your real number. Was she really a pirate? Was there some sort of animal in your room last night or did you chew a hole in your own socks? Why were there cigarettes in your room? Was that your room? Oh well, here at Little Mermaids the sun is up, the coffee is warm and fresh, the egg muffin sandwich is working it's way down the tequila chute. Just paid $34 for breakfast, which was waaay high for me. Two ham & cheese omelets and an order of bacon/eggs and an orange juice and coke. Food was fine, nothing amazing or worth that price! The little mermaid used to me my favorite place to get ice cream when I was in RI however it has drastically declined over the years. Within the last 5 years their prices increased, the quality of the ice cream has become terrible and they barely give you any ice cream. Yesterday I ordered a medium cone with cookie dough ice cream and it was so overpriced for how much ice cream I was given, the ice cream was terrible and the cone was beyond stale. I am never coming back to this place. Little mermaid... please go back to your old ice cream because this does not cut it. read more

I just paid $38.00 for substandard food there food safety is a joke I have seen better food safety practices at a Tijuana taco cart ,but the cherry on top was we grab some trash out of car to throw it out and one of the employees yelled at us and embarrass us his hygiene was not up to par for someone that is working in the food service industry plus being that we are in the middle of pandemic he did have a mask but it was around his neck not his face not sure how that is supposed to stop droplets ketchup was served in open containers to I wouldn't walk away I would run from this establishment. read more

This is located right on the beach! The food is really good and comes out very fast! Staff is friendly, however they do close the place pretty early (I think around 6:30). The food is a little on the pricey side, but that is to be expected with the location. They also only accepted cash while I was there. read more

Great food! Not much is fancy but the place is awesome! We had breakfast and really enjoyed it. Probably the best home fries I've ever had. Coffee is Green Mountain! Overpriced and subpar. Over $30 for a breakfast for four of basically french toast and pancakes, subpar at best. Ice cream cones have gotten smaller and more expensive. Beach parking is $40 - really?? Perhaps the icing on the cake was that both my wife and I were approached by the same girl from inside - in separate incidents - who spoke to us very negatively with a bad attitude. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. They are extremely rude. Ordered food to go yesterday...while we were waiting for our $40 order, I wanted to throw out a few tissues in their garbage. I was screamed at by one of the workers, young guy long brown hair and looked disheveled and dirty...would never want one of my employees to look like that. He screamed you can't use our garbage for your garbage, I proceeded to say I'm a paying customer and there are no other waste baskets around. The guy was rude, and inappropriate. He literally scared and embarrassed me. No way you want to feel when your a paying customer. In addition, he wasn't wearing a mask or gloves and was cooking food, while using a vape pen in front of customers. It was beyond trashy, you are in the food service industry, you should present yourself in a more suitable manner especially given that covid is going on. I would recommend a health inspector go visit this establishment as it's not being run properly and aren't following covid rules. When the man yelled at me, 5 customers walked away and said that he was extremely rude, I'm not giving these people any business. If he worked for me, he would no longer have a job!!!! This is basic beach fast food. It is conveniently located next to the breezeway beach. The chicken tenders were nicely fried and crispy. The hamburger was small and not very flavorful. The BLT was fine. We also tried the fried dough which was ok but a bit thick and greasy. Very popular place for ice cream and the line can be long and service is a little slow. For price, food is subpar and it is in small portions. Burger is a tiny, average frozen patty (size of McDonald's $1 sized) for $5. Cheese, another $1. Don't include ranch or blue cheese with buff chicken. Had to ask and they asked for $.50. Dressing dips are standard with buffalo chicken. Friendly to me but when my daughter went on her own, they were rude, probably because she's a teen. I think the place sucks but the location is convenient. Just go to Paddy's 100 yards away and get far better meal for price. The sit-down places nearby area better value. read more
