First timer here. Coming from the cali where vietnamese pho is a must have after a night of nonsense and a morning of collecting oneself and playing wtf... the ultimate hangover cure. Lil mo, was rather impressive. I ordered the Classic Beef pho. Bowl comes with: 16hr beef +oxtail brewed broth, rare rib eye, beef meatballs, rice noodles and bean sprouts. All ingredients accounted for are my usual except the beef meatballs and shredded beef. Which was not bad, just different from your typical "bo' tai" (rare steak only) pho. The broth is salty and very savory. The other meats bring out different notes to the broth and note either sweet or saltier depending on the meat. The veggies are already added. Not as a side. If you're not into the mint and cilantro, speak now or forever be sad becuase those are profound tastes and you done not paid attn. Bonus: Bone marrow on the side or a side egg is 3 bucks extra. My friend said it was worth it! You have your oyster sauce and sriracha next to you just in case all else fails. However, I doubt you will be disappointed. Pho sho', their noodle soup is the star of the show: meaty goodness is embedded amongst rice noodles, with savory broth, sweeter than I'd like, but still satisfying. Want tripe? Let your love for it be known, and sing it to the heavens - at least let your cashier know you want tripe in your soup. Wish I had larger cuts of tripe, though. If you have room for banh mi, you'll appreciate the baguette, a crispy, fresh vehicle for deliciousness. Gold star to Little Mo for getting that right. The cafe next door - owned by the same owner - will serve you a Vietnamese coffee if you're in the mood. Or rather, a Vietnamese-inspired coffee, not the real McCoy. This place is great! Always fast service and friendly staff. My only tip for this place is that the food is very spicy... I have a pretty low tolerance for spice, so if you like it hot, you'll probably love it. But I like to stay in the mild area of spiciness, and sometimes the banh mi's are so spicy I can't finish them. But overall, the quality of the food is great and it's not super pricey. I stopped in on a Saturday night about 45 minutes before they were closing. They have veggie options in all sections--apps, bao, pho and banh mi, which is really cool. They also have cane sugar Coca Cola, which I'm not a fan of soda but completed the sandwich very well. I ordered a veggie banh mi ($13) and a cola ($3). You pay at the counter and now because of COVID there is not any inside seating available. They do have a bench and one bistro table with two seats out front. We just so happy to arrive when the party seated was leaving so the server was kind enough to wipe the table off for us and bring our food out when it was ready. The sandwich has fresh jalapeños so if you're not a heat person--make sure to let them know to leave that off of it! I love spicy food and it definitely gave the sandwich flavor that it needed because otherwise it's quite plain. Overall the service was good, the food was alright and the experience because it wasn't crowded at all was really nice. I'm eager to try the pho and bao at this place but I probably won't order the banh mi again. Maybe their meat options have a little more flavor! Bottom line: if you're looking for a late evening eat that's not pizza or deli food, this is a good spot for you. The menu and fotos has us sold right away BUT the service and food lived up to the hype. We shared a few things and it was all wonderful. The kale salad was so fresh and tasty! Definitely good for sharing...we took some home. The brussel sprouts have an amazing spicy flavor. The Pork Bao Buns - meaty and delicious. What I loved most was the Bulgogi Cheesesteak. the meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned but the bread made the sandwich. Crispy and soft - just perfect for the sandwich. This place is super bomb. Never had pho in my life and so I was being adventurous. The only disappointment was hat they only did the beef pho on weekends - so I tried the lemongrass chicken pho. Delicious! The staff was super friendly and attentive! The guy at the counter (totally forgot his name. Maybe starts with a J. I've lived around the corner from Little Mo for years, and only recently visited - now I can't believe what I've been missing for so long! You order at the counter and receive a number, then someone will bring your food to you. They have a small but solid menu covering your Vietnamese favorites: banh mi, pho, and rice/vermicelli bowls. They also have beer, canned wine, and sake. I went with the chicken char siu vermicelli bowl on my last visit, a huge portion of noodles, cucumber salad, pickled veggies, and juicy chicken. Everything was really fresh and I definitely left full. At around $27 for a can of wine and my meal, it wasn't exactly a bargain, but definitely hit my craving for Vietnamese food in Bushwick. I decided to give it another chance because a friend was in town and we were close and very hungry and since it's counter service it's much faster than other places in the area. My friends and i were craving Vietnamese and found this place since it was pretty close. The prices were definitely fair and they had a good variety of choices (standards like pho, banh mi and then a couple of appetizers) I found it strange that they only served the beef pho on weekends. But nonetheless, we ordered two appetizers (Chicken wings and summer rolls) and then 3 Little Porky Banh Mi's. The chicken wings came out piping hot and very flavorful. The summer rolls were just like any other summer roll you would get at a Vietnamese spot. But the Banh Mi's were not my cup of tea. The pork was marinated in lemongrass and fried but it was dry and the lemongrass gave it an odd flavor not like a traditional Pork Banh Mi. The Pho is great here, but what really won it for me was the bulgogi cheesesteak! This cheese steak is so unique, and it was a great idea! First impression is that you walk into this somewhat dim place. I remember the lighting to have a bit of a red tint. Ordering the food was great. Staff was polite, but I wouldn't say super friendly. After we ordered, we grabbed some water cups and tried to find a table. The place is a little smaller. I got the little porky and found both the pork and ingredients to be bland, lacking authentic flavors (e.g. I could hardly taste any sourness from the pickled carrots and daikon). I was going to give them 2 stars but taking off another star because of the exorbitant prices they charge for what you get. An authentic Vietnamese sandwich typically costs $4 or less even in SF where the cost of living is now higher than NY. Haven't been to the physical location but have ordered takeout from here. I decided to go with their Lemongrass Pho and Summer Rolls after a night out and it was the best cure ever! The lemongrass pho was very different in taste from the pho you get in Chinatown and other places but it was just as delicious and flavorful. The lemongrass definitely added a nice touch to the entire dish and the summer rolls were just as yummy! My boyfriend and I are great fans of authentic pho and traveling to find the best pho. We were in the Brooklyn area and found Little Mo through help and decided to go because of the rating. We went on a weekday and were not aware that their beef pho was only available on weekends, so we both got chicken pho. The soup was good but that's nothing impressive because you can get instant pho broth that tastes just like it. It just didn't taste like anything special. More importantly, there was barely any chicken. As we were eating, we realized that we weren't finding any pieces of chicken. As we were finishing up the noodles, we each literally only found/got a spoons worth of shredded chicken (see photos attached). Definitely not worth paying for what we got.
