Wonderful experience for my almost-2-year-old. He LOVED the cars and the whole atmosphere made this spot an easy haircut experience. He was a bit nervous/teary when we were first getting started but our hairdresser was awesome. She asked (by spelling) if it was ok to give him a piece of candy and after I gave the green light, my son totally took to her. It was very kind of her to ask, we don't do a lot of sweets so this was a big treat for him and I appreciated that she asked me without him hearing what was being asked. She was quick and efficient with the haircut and by the end, my son didn't want to leave. She gave us time to finish driving the car since the salon was empty at that point and it was nice to let him experience a little more. Our appointment was at 3 pm on a Saturday, and every car was taken when we first arrived but it cleared out quickly. I'd recommend making an appointment at a slightly off time (maybe do 3:15 instead of 3:00) to have a less busy space. Street parking is a bit busy on the weekends, so allow extra time to park and walk. read more

I brought my son today after waiting 6 weeks because of a previous haircut at a different location that didn't go so well. My son is only 1 1/2 years old and has very thin straight hair that sticks up , which is very hard to work with and cut. I'm so happy I came here. Mariam did an amazing job to fix it. Purchased another Yelp deal for $15 a year later (January 2012 it was $13). The Yelp deal transaction was so simple. Saturday morning at 8am, purchased my Yelp deal from my smart phone. 11am called Little Munchkins for a same day appointment. 100pm walked in for my son's haircut. Remela cut my son's hair. She's was awesome. She seemed a bit tough and serious at the beginning but after she turned on Cars for my son, she was all professional but fun. She did a great job on my son's hair. The first time around (January 2012), my son totally cried. This time around, he didn't cry (looked a bit annoyed) but did great. Thanks to Little Munchkins. They are my go to place for little children haircuts. Do buy the Yelp deal and if you don't buy it, check in and receive $1 off cuts. They have a play area for the kids and the owner even takes pictures for your child if you'd like and also gives out ballons and Dum Dum lollipops. Been a fan of this place ever since my eldest daughter's first haircut since 2017 and now I can add my second daughter's first one too. I always ask for Stella coz she always does her best and is very detailed and careful with her work. We love the results every time she does my daughters' hair. $25+tip may seem a lot for a kid's haircut but if you only do it once or twice in a year, it's a steal! They give you a certificate for toddlers with their first haircut, hair clips as finishing touches for the girls and, even candy after the visit.
