We got lunch at this delightful cafe. I've been wanting to check this place out. It's more than a cafe, they serve delicious sandwiches, pizza, beer, burgers, and premade grab and go food. A few of the grab and go items I noticed were, chicken Parmesan, lasagna, soups, salads, ice cream, and cookies. They also offer pizza and pasta making classes; and catering for weddings and parties. I got The DB Panini which had turkey, bacon, onion, lettuce, tomato, mayo, cheese, and pepper relish; all hot pressed under bread, this was really good with a pickle and chips as sides. My toddler had grilled cheese and my husband had the Little Oak burger, which they both liked. It was a nice day so we sat out on the patio. The inside was very cozy and clean. I can't wait to try out their coffee and breakfast sandwiches soon.

first of all the food service was spectacular. l really enjoyed the great service at little oak cafe. The ambiance and the atmosphere was amazing, food was out really quickly, and my meal looked/tasted amazing. definitely recommend as new place to try

What a spot! Stopped here with my honey on a whim looking for a quick bite to eat for lunch and were so impressed. We split the DB panini and bbq chicken jalapeño pizza. So much flavor and spice just exploding in our mouths, I nearly forgot where I was for a moment! Now, don't let the name fool you - little oak cafe may be small but the food is mighty and service is QUICK! As the old adage goes, it's not about the size of the tree, rather it's about the size of the nuts...little oak, the fruits of your tree just produced two new repeat customers! Bravo!

So many tasty options! I ended up having the breakfast burrito. Lovely outside patio to eat on, such friendly service, we loved it!!

Visiting Canton CT to pick my Posche which was getting repaired at a shop there (yes it is very far from where I live), me and my daughter decided to check out the local culinary scene. The reviews of this cafe seemed intriguing so we decided to drop be. The place is in a huge complex with plenty of parking, however they are not very visible from the main rd. Inside they have a very laid back style with chairs and table arranged on the front and side and a niceblittle bar in the middle. There is outside seating too, but it was too cold to sit outside so we stayed indoors. Ordering was simple, you select what you want at the counter, and then they bring the food to your table. I opted for the roast beef sandwich, which came with a side of macaroni pasta. Both were really good! It seemed a popular place as even though it wad 3pm, there were families coming in. Will definitely visit them, next time my Porsche has issues!!

We finally had the chance to stop in and experience Little Oak Cafe and were not disappointed! Located in the back of Canton Village, Little Oak Cafe is literally a hidden gem with dynamite food and service. We stopped in for lunch and decided on Roast Beef and Ham and Cheddar paninis, both of which were excellent. Portions are pretty large and the prices are great! We came in hungry and both of us were actually full after eating half of our sandwiches, but we just HAD to finish them. However, we could've easily had leftovers, had we chosen to. We each opted for a side of macaroni salad, and that too, was delicious. Service was awesome and we were asked more than a few times how we were doing and if we needed anything, which was very nice. Little Oak Cafe has a spacious dining area and tables are spaced out for social distancing purposes. They also have extensive takeout offerings, which we will have to check out the next time we're in. We will definitely return again!

Cute little cafe. Great offerings of teas and baronet coffees. We went for breakfast - menu very small but all sounds delicious. Multigrain bread delicious. My potatoes were undercooked but I like crispy. Food is served on rectangular metal trays and utensils are individually packaged disposable units. Staff extremely welcoming!!

These days it's hard to find a cafe that isn't overpriced and better than just average. But Toasted Oat hits the high points of quality of cook on the food, even if the ingredients may not all be top notch. They have breakfast sandwiches, bowls and scrambles, as well as regular sandwiches, salads and burritos. We enjoyed the regular breakfast sandwich with spinach and cheese (subbed the meat but wish the spinach had been cooked in - $7) and the breakfast scramble which included 2 eggs, 3 veggies, cheese, protein all mixed/cut up together, as well as hash brown (didn't exactly look homemade?) and toast ($11). Everything was served in to-go containers so the looks weren't the best but makes sense given the place and that most people probably don't dine in. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. Everything takes time to come out so you know it's done to order. They also have some coffee and tea. They had a few coffee cake items in a glass display but didn't look homemade either. It feels like a cafe should have more selection of pastries but again bother me. Service was friendly and patient. The actual location isn't that great visually either. There is one longer table and a few smaller ones, but it's not a big place and not decorated to impress (fine by me!) It is located in a small nondescript plaza with an Indian market. Small parking lot. Wish this small business well!

My brunch buddy and I had to make a last minute change of plans, so we landed at Toasted OAT today for breakfast. There are a few tables in a roped off section of the parking lot to eat outside. Inside, there's a long table in the middle, 3 smaller tables on the left, and a bar at the window. We had no problem getting a seat, but it seems like it's more of a take-and-go place than a destination to eat. There are a lot of customizations you can make to your food order, which is more easily done in their online ordering system--but there's a $1.95 service fee to use it. My friend and I made our decisions based off of that system but ordered at the counter. While there are a lot of breakfast and lunch options, there aren't many beverages. Coffee, hot chocolate, and tea are the mainstays for warm beverages, and all cold beverages other than cold brew coffee are prepackaged bottles in a cooler and run just short of $4. Every order, whether it's take-out or eat-in, is served in disposable packaging with disposable utensils. I ordered the Reuben bowl without eggs and a side waffle with syrup. Kind of love that I could get a side waffle. It took a while for the food to come out. It felt longer than it should have been for how few people were there, but I didn't time it. My waffle was cold. The tator tots in the Reuben bowl, however, were cooked perfectly, as were my friend's hash browns. Everything tasted great. If you're looking for the picturesque weekend brunch experience, this isn't it. But if you want a quick bite that's well made with quality ingredients and no-fuss beverages, you'll be very happy here. Even more so if you want to take it on the go.

That's because when you pull into the shopping plaza.....you don't see it. But if you circle around to the right, you'll see it on the side of the strip mall's buildings. And trust me, this spot is definitely worth hunting down to experience a standout breakfast or lunch. We walked in a little before 1:00 yesterday and found a table for two in the back left corner of the dining room, so we had a good view of the entire room. I have to tell ya, the place was packed! Breakaway closes at 3:00 every day except Sunday (2:00), and there were breakfast and lunch menus out, plus a few daily specials. My wife went with a "William's Ham Panini" ($17) with thin sliced ham, bacon, caramelized onions, cheddar and honey mustard on a grilled panini. We both were struck at how much ham was piled onto her sandwich. She had a few choices for a side dish and put her nickel down on potato salad. I went with The JT Salad ($16). The menu says it's been their "best-selling salad 25 years and counting". It was a big portion of mixed greens served with house balsamic dressing, grape tomatoes, gorgonzola cheese, and grilled chunks of teriyaki glazed chicken breast. It was stellar, with plenty of that yummy cheese and chicken. The only sour note with our lunch was a rather steep $4.25 for a glass of iced tea that was half-filled with ice. The food was very good and a decent amount of leftovers came home with us for another day. I was unexpectedly impressed by how crowded Bistro was on a random Monday. I bet you'll be too.

Custom chicken sandwich was not quite as stated on the menu. The "tempura" fried chicken was more like a frozen patty than a tempura battered piece. I had a fun dinner. Two chili dogs and fries! Have not ordered that for dinner since Lum's was down the street! My only criticism is that they were not on a New England style roll. (Buttered & grilled). My fries were cold. They also have a nice patio area with plenty of seating and a fire pit; this would be great when the weather is nice. My family and I had lunch on Saturday. It was busy but not overwhelming. Our server was busy but super attentive and friendly. I noticed it was very kid-friendly since there were other kids there and they had a kids menu. Their menu was vast menu and I wanted to try so many food items. I started off with a hibiscus margarita; oh my, one of the best I've had, it was a 5/5. We also had the asian calamari; it's fried battered squid, banana peppers, and a side of sweet chili. This was mouthwatering good and it was a 4/5. I had a cesar half salad which was toothsome; the dressing, parmesan, croutons, and salad ratio was perfection. My main entree, I had the prosciutto wrapped cod; that is baked cod, wrapped with prosciutto, served over parmesan risotto and broccoli with lemon butter. The showstopper was the parmesan risotto, I could eat a gallon of that lol. The cod was okay, it needed more flavor but the prosciutto definitely helped with the flavor. Overall the cod fish was 3.5/5. Next time, I want to try their Thai sesame salmon, apricot shrimp risotto, pulled pork Mac and cheese, Bolognese, crab rangoon dip, and firecracker shrimp, to name a few. I was so torn but I chose a bit of a healthier option due to my New Year resolution. I loved that they had the total calories next to the menu items. My family and I look forward to going back soon!
