We got lunch at this delightful cafe. I've been wanting to check this place out. It's more than a cafe, they serve delicious sandwiches, pizza, beer, burgers, and premade grab and go food. A few of the grab and go items I noticed were, chicken Parmesan, lasagna, soups, salads, ice cream, and cookies. They also offer pizza and pasta making classes; and catering for weddings and parties. I got The DB Panini which had turkey, bacon, onion, lettuce, tomato, mayo, cheese, and pepper relish; all hot pressed under bread, this was really good with a pickle and chips as sides. My toddler had grilled cheese and my husband had the Little Oak burger, which they both liked. It was a nice day so we sat out on the patio. The inside was very cozy and clean. Absolutely serviceable brunch on the weekend. There are a few entree options and a long list of various coffee beverages to choose from, but be aware that the interior has very, very limited seating. There are about five tables and seats at the bar, and everything else is outside. I'm sure on a warm spring/summer day, the patio is amazing, but in winter the limited seating may mean an extended wait. Visiting Canton CT to pick my Posche which was getting repaired at a shop there (yes it is very far from where I live), me and my daughter decided to check out the local culinary scene. The reviews of this cafe seemed intriguing so we decided to drop be. The place is in a huge complex with plenty of parking, however they are not very visible from the main rd. Inside they have a very laid back style with chairs and table arranged on the front and side and a niceblittle bar in the middle. There is outside seating too, but it was too cold to sit outside so we stayed indoors. Ordering was simple, you select what you want at the counter, and then they bring the food to your table. I opted for the roast beef sandwich, which came with a side of macaroni pasta. Both were really good! It seemed a popular place as even though it wad 3pm, there were families coming in. We finally had the chance to stop in and experience Little Oak Cafe and were not disappointed! Located in the back of Canton Village, Little Oak Cafe is literally a hidden gem with dynamite food and service. We stopped in for lunch and decided on Roast Beef and Ham and Cheddar paninis, both of which were excellent. Portions are pretty large and the prices are great! We came in hungry and both of us were actually full after eating half of our sandwiches, but we just HAD to finish them. However, we could've easily had leftovers, had we chosen to. We each opted for a side of macaroni salad, and that too, was delicious. Service was awesome and we were asked more than a few times how we were doing and if we needed anything, which was very nice. Little Oak Cafe has a spacious dining area and tables are spaced out for social distancing purposes. They also have extensive takeout offerings, which we will have to check out the next time we're in. We will definitely return again! read more

Stopped in for breakfast today and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Belgian waffle which was fantastic. It came with a full serving of fresh strawberries and blueberries and just the right amount of whipped cream. It was delicious. My wife ordered the American breakfast - scrambled eggs, delicious breakfast potatoes, bacon and toast. All very good! And I judge a breakfast place by their drip coffee which didn't disappoint. Little Oak has a varied menu, so depending on the time of day, you can satisfy your hunger with a choice of breakfast sandwiches, sandwiches, paninis, pizza, salads, or "Grab and Go" entrees from their display cases. We walked in Sunday afternoon and ordered two sandwiches to go. Kelly, the young lady behind the counter, was very polite and friendly and took our order efficiently. I ordered a Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich as a wrap ($10.95). It was a very generous sandwich, loaded with chicken chunks, lettuce, tomato, pickles, spicy mayo, and Nashville hot spice. It was excellent, and definitely had the slight degree of the heat I expected. Sandwiches are served with a pickle and a choice of chips or macaroni salad. The pickle was a giant dill spear, and the macaroni salad was very good too. There were a few tables of diners eating their lunch in the dining room, and we noticed the tables have been thinned out to comply with social distancing. The floorspace of the dining room is quite a bit roomier than it was for the previous tenant here. As we waited for our food to be cooked to order, we read about pasta and pizza making classes they run at night for groups of six or more. That seems pretty interesting !! I ordered breakfast delivery from Little Oak Cafe this morning and was pretty impressed! I got a sausage egg and cheese and the breakfast potatoes as a side. Prices are very reasonable - my sandwich was around $5.50 and the potatoes were around $3.50 I believe. The potatoes were a generous portion, seasoned well, and served with delicious caramelized onions. They were maybe a little soggy, but I'll attribute that to the delivery and the fact that I didn't eat them right when they were delivered (I was on a work call). And, despite not being super crispy as I like my potatoes, they were seasoned so well that I didn't mind. One minor complaint is that I wish they had Heinz ketchup instead of the cheaper generic brand, but it's not the end of the world - I just ended up using what I had at home. Breakfast sandwich was phenomenal. I assumed it would be served on a bagel but instead it came on brioche. Not necessarily what I had wanted, but was just a faulty assumption on my part (they never specified what it came on). And, it actually ended up being a pleasant surprise - I find that the bagels in this area are hit or miss so the brioche was a good alternative. They gave me two sausage patties instead of the one that most places give, which I thought was generous. It was a great value compared to similar sandwiches costing at least a few dollars more at Bruegger's. Would definitely order again and consider this as my new go-to breakfast spot in town. read more

My husband and I like discovering new restaurants. Today we discovered Little Oak Cafe and we will definitely be going back. Located in a small shopping plaze there is plenty of parking at the restaurant. The cafe itself is small but in a cozy way, not cramped at all, and is spotless. Weather permitting there is also outside dining available. Although small, the menu has quite a variety of breakfast choices, sandwiches, and pizzas. A kids' menu is also included. It was difficult to make a choice but ultimately my husband got the ham and cheese melt which was grilled to perfection with crispy bread and gooey cheese. I got the Beyond Burger wrap, which is a vegarian offering, because I like hummus. It tastted just as though it included hamburger. We got Avery's sodas but there is a wide variety of beverages (soda, juice, coffee, tea, wine, beer). What a cute place with good food! We had the turkey wrap and I had golden milk to drink. There were lots of choices for healthy food that tastes yummy. There's a nice comfy outdoor raised eating area where you can relax and enjoy. My dog came along and a wonderful employee brought him a huge bowl of water to lap up. That was one happy doggo! I had been hearing Little Oak was great and decided to come in for a weekday breakfast. I had an iced mocha and a breakfast burrito to enjoy on the patio! They were both delicious and every affordable. The staff was pleasant and the service was quick! They have an adorable little patio where you can sit outside and relax, the inside of the cafe is equally as inviting! I would love to come back in the afternoon as I saw that they have a good wine and lunch and wood fired pizza menu!
