The menu was good. Most of the menu items tended to be comfort food but it was good. Service was quick and attentive. The seating area was nice and comfortable in the bar area. Visited again last night and unfortunately I had to now downgrade my review to 2 stars. When you advertise something on your menu then the meal should be served as described on your menu. I ordered the Steakhouse burger simply because it said it was served with THICK bacon. When my burger was served it was far beyond thick. I asked the server if they could have possibly made a mistake and he came back and said it was not a mistake. I asked him if the bacon looked thick and he said, "not really". Then he comes back and says they should change the menu, and to that I said, "I agree". Next I asked for the temperature on the burger to be medium and it came back well done. This is more a review for Jamie R's service, and is not reflective of the restaurant as a whole. We love Little Pub, its food, and ambiance. This is my second time having Jamie as a server, and neither time has been pleasant. At today's visit, we were disappointed with the lack of service and attention. Jamie failed to check us on after receiving our food at all. She was at the waiters station on her phone and we kept trying to make eye contact to ask for a refill. She had to be flagged down for refills after about 20-25 minutes. We were also missing some items she had forgotten. We politely asked for refills, as she did not offer us more after seeing our empty cups. She then physically threw down our bill on the table. We felt like we were an inconvenience as opposed to a paying customer who had very few requests and asked for our things politely. read more

Steadily going downhill. Is it that hard for food to come out warm? Asked the bartender for some recommendations and got the pulled pork Mac n cheese and the meatloaf grilled cheese. The pulled pork Mac n cheese is not worth it. The pasta was cheese less and tasteless with literally no seasoning. The pulled pork tasted like it was bought somewhere else and reheated. Basically not worth it. This restaurant used to be great pre covid when I used to go but it has certainly went down hill. The food went from great to 'mehhhh not bad, certainly not great'. I ordered a burger and it looked like it was sitting under a heat lamp for an hour. It was one sad looking burger. Fries weren't crispy or seasoned. Empanadas were among the worst I've ever had. The cheese wasn't even melted on this inside and it honestly just didn't taste good either. Who serves empanadas with marinara sauce? This is a shame honestly because they used to be a great great restaurant but it's went downhill. RE Comment: How would I let you know I'm unhappy with the food if I do take out? I forgot to do an update for Little Pub. I went back here for only the third time and had the most amazing Calimari. It was unbelievable. So I decided to give them 5 out of 5 stars because I have now dined here three times and each time has been better than the last. I love sitting by the fireplace on a cool day. They do a really good business here and there is such a cozy feel to the whole place. It maybe my favorite eatery in Fairfield. They also have these really cool old fashioned phone booths and you can have your picture taken and have it emailed to you. Word of warning..my friend and I did that one time and neither of us ever got the emails. Hope they didn't go to a spammer. Anyway.... I had originally given it 4 stars but the food and ambiance are so good I wanted to give them the full five. I've had something different every time I have been here and it's always great. Oh..I also had some garlic toast..not kidding..I liked it so much I almost ordered more. I really recommend this place as so far I have not seen any negatives. read more

Little pub is a great spot to hang out for a while and eat good food. Their prices are just okay, however their food is excellent. I enjoy their sweet potato fries. The service is not always the best. Although I have had certain waiters who were great. I like the ambiance at this place with tastefully dimmed lighting and interesting decor. I often get take out/order in from here and I am usually satisfied. Sometimes the food can be a little greasy but that is to be expected from a pub. Little Pub consistently serves great food. generally speaking id stick with burgers and stuff like that. their chicken and waffles though is awesome with the hot spicy syrup. a must try. not a big fan of their nachos though. sangria is great. since covid we've been doing curbside pickup. they've done a fairly good job though sometimes the food is done like 10-15 min before pickup time. that can be a problem as the stuffs sitting around. BUT..the travel containers they use are paper and vented so the stuff doesn't get soggy. i think they can improve pickup by TEXTING people when it's close to being ready. we've done Sangria takeout 2X. love the white sangria! it's a great place and we'll continue to support them through this. last thing..pre-Covid..the wait times can get bad. especially fall/winter time. read more

We came here on a cold winter night and got to sit by the fire. The setting was nice and cozy. The drink specials all looked great but I wasn't in the drinking mood. I ordered the salt and pepper calamari and the Thai wings as an afterthought. I'm glad I ordered the wings because they turned out to be much better than the calamari. The sauce was that perfect mix of sweet and salty. The portion was generous enough for me to share with friends but I wish the wings had been a bit more crunchy. Recently had dinner with the family at the Little Pub in Fairfield. I had the Peking Duck Tacos... they were great. Kids had wings and sliders, basic but they were happy with it. Wife had a soup, it came out mild in temp so we had to have it warmed up... staff got it done quickly. Staff was friendly and attentive. It was busy and a bit louder which is good for us with the kids. Good decor and atmosphere, what you would expect with a pub. We went there on a weekday, I was looking forward to it since I haven't had time out without my daughter. My husband ordered a burger with no bacon, I ordered a salmon flatbread. My husbands burger, when it came out he noticed it had bacon and we asked for them to remake it. I told my husband I would wait until it came out, literally 20 seconds later the server comes out. I asked if they simply just removed the bacon...... he said yes and I told him to remake it. I find this frustrating, you have no idea why someone would ask for no bacon. It could be an allergy or religious reasons. Regardless, it was inappropriate. My husband told me to continue eating because it probably would take a while, I tried my flatbread and the entire bread was soggy. It was unappetizing. Our mixed drinks came out, which may have been on me since it's a pub. Why order mixed drinks... they were horrible we didn't finish them. I do like their fries and the inside is nice, but I most likely won't go back. I spent 70 dollars on a wet sandwich, and a burger I had to ask twice to remake... It consisted of a yummy chicken breast with bacon, gouda and tasty maple bbq sauce on a bun which was out of this world! I opted for a side of sweet potato fries which were great as well.
