Tenderloin steak tips, sautéed peppers and onions, vegetable medley, smashed potato
    Ron M.

Great experience at Little Pub. The food and service were excellent. We ordered the tenderloin steak tips with sautéed peppers and onions, a vegetable medley, and smashed potatoes. Everything was cooked well and full of flavor. The steak tips were tender and satisfying. The Napa Salmon Flatbread was another highlight. Blackened salmon topped with shredded cabbage, pico, guacamole, cilantro-lime sour cream, and a chipotle honey drizzle. Great balance of heat, freshness, and sweetness. Service was friendly and attentive, and the food came out just right. We'll definitely return. --

    Lemon cheesecake - excellent

I've been a regular at Little Pub for a while but had an experience last night that is worth noting. The hostess was surly and unwilling to seat us at a table in the bar area. However, if she wasn't unpleasant, then we wouldn't have met the bartender, Tessa. Tessa is wonderful - welcoming, funny, helpful - all the good things. She made great recommendations - pickle wings and lemon cheesecake were outstanding! Tessa crushed it (and she makes a great drink!). So thank you, Little Pub, for hiring Tessa, and thank you, surly hostess, for NOT seating us where we wanted to sit initially.

The Thanksgiving Wrap paired with tater tots

Great selection of IPA's and local brews to pair with their appetizers of Nachos. Check out their "Hamburger Salad" - a beef patty atop a creamy Caesar salad. Their Kick'n Chick'n is a must try as well!

Little Pub in Fairfield is one of my favorite restaurants. Everything is super delicious, especially their Thanksgiving wrap, which comes with the most delicious stuffing, gravy, and sweet potato fries. FYI, their Thanksgiving wrap is available year round! Now isn't that great! All delicious goodness in one plate to bring you in Thanksgiving spirit!! We also ordered the chicken wings, burger, eggplant wrap, and clam chowder, which were equally delicious!

They could have easily fit another 3 stools at the bar; people were actually standing in the places stools could have gone. The place felt like an old neighborhood bar where guys went after work for a beer before heading home. Everyone seemed to know each other. Besides the bar scene it was empty. I walked to the bar and asked for menus and a few beers. We had to go to the bar each time to order. We got the buffalo wings and Sikorsky sliders. Food took a while but it was worth it. The wings were breaded so they had a nice crunch to them. The sliders were great - grilled chicken, bacon, sharp cheddar and cracked pepper mayo. The food was really good, I always appreciate a breaded wing. The beer and wings were supposed to be on happy hour at $5 each as noted on the menu. When we got the bill we were charged full price for everything. We asked the bartender why they weren't discounted and he explained that they weren't on HH. We asked him to look at the menu and he said he would honor the prices but the menus were wrong...? I wonder how many times people were charged full price for these items before and didn't take the time to look at the bill. I don't know if that's a normal practice in this place but its a shame because I definitely will not be going back.

Sliders are good, also got the buffalo chicken egg roll which was really crunchy. There's usually a dog hanging out inside, well behaved and friendly. I don't mind that at all. It's such a soft environment. As far as drinks, there is not a very good draft beer selection, basically your usual basics and a seahag. Why not some local craft beer?! Service was great until our waitress disappeared (went home?) I ended up going to the bartender to cash our our lunch check from the table. Still we will likely be back because the food is yummy.

"Imitator, intimidator, stimulator Simulator, eliminator"…read more(Eminem) If ten state of the art golf simulators are your stimulators, you'll love a visit to Back 9 Social. And your visit will not be handicapped by a lack of gastropub like food and drink. Their golf simulators are very impressive and combine radar and camera technology to faithfully recreate some of the best courses in the world, including St Andrews, Pebble Beach, and 120+ others. A professional organization I belong to held a gathering there last night and had a great time. We ordered and paid for our drinks through their big bar through a QR code, but you can still pay the old-fashioned way with cash if you prefer. We had plenty of their pizzas which were quite yummy. Our golfers had a blast and I should point out that although some of the other customers I saw actually brought their own set of clubs, Back 9 can hook you up with their clubs for men, women, lefties, righties, and kids. And of course, plenty of tees and balls to whack into their high-definition screens. The facility is gorgeous, the golf simulators were amazing, the staff was helpful and friendly, and it was a very enjoyable experience.

This place is a lot of fun, and we genuinely enjoy coming here, but our experience with management…read moreon multiple occasions has really put a damper on the whole establishment. We completely understand that the facility has every right to monitor alcohol consumption and prevent inappropriate behavior. Nobody wants people getting sloppy or disruptive, and we respect that. However, there's a much more professional and respectful way to handle it than what is done. We are unsure of her name, but the female manager present made us uncomfortable as she was constantly staring at our group throughout the evening instead of simply communicating expectations directly. The alcohol restrictions are also entirely ridiculous- I specifically was told by the bartender that I was being watched for alcohol consumption after having 2 Coronas in a time span of 1 hour and 45 minutes. The restriction on alcohol itself is not the main issue -- it's the way it is handled. We have felt watched and punished despite the fact that nobody in our group was loud, inappropriate, or intoxicated on multiple occasions. I also want to note that the bartenders have been spectacular and are always very nice. This is specially about the manager and the way she acts towards paying customers. When you're spending over $200 on the simulator alone, a little courtesy and respectful communication would go a long way. We really do like this place, but experiences like this make us hesitant to come back.

I don't understand a lot of the negative reviews here. On a rainy stormy night we drove about 1/2…read morehour from Kent to visit this place that I had heard so much about, and the food did not disappoint. They have mint juleps at the bar, very nice! We split a caesar salad for an app, plenty for both of us, and perfectly dressed and crisp (despite some other reviewer whining about it being "bland"). For entrees, I'm not normally a meat loaf lover, but was intrigued by the inclusion of black truffle oil and marsala sauce and so ordered it. It was rather outrageously good, the accompanying summer veggies very flavorful. Partner had the seafood pot pie, very yummy except for the inclusion of fennel, which I personally do not care for. He loved it although the broth/gravy was a little thin for his taste. He plans to thicken it up a bit when he tackles the leftovers. My Cotes du Rhone wine with meal was delicious, but came in a smallish glass; could have benefited from a larger pour and a larger glass to expand the aroma. For dessert, which we don't always order, we had some sort of perfectly decadent chocolate lava type cake with just the right amount of ice cream. Way better than any lava cake I ever had! The accompanying coffee, even my decaf, was stellar. We sat in the room opposite the bar, at the windows next to the tumbling brook outside. Very nice atmosphere. The only mistep I would say was that when we called at 7.30 to make reso's, the gal on the phone stressed that the "kitchen closes at 8:00" and that we would have to order right away. We said okay no problem but were a tad worried about being rushed. She hung up before I could give my name and number in party. When we arrived, about 10 minutes to 8, the hostess who had answered the phone seemed confused and asked us if we were the ones who had called to see "if they were open". I said, well, we called for reservations, but you hung up before I could give my name. Despite this initial unwelcome-vibe weirdness, our waitress, Fiona, made us feel perfectly welcome and not rushed. Although she too did come to tell us, about 15 minutes in, that "the kitchen was closing" but we had already ordered and desserts weren't an issue. Something must have happened with a customer to make them gun-shy about this. In a nutshell, don't show up inside of an hour of the posted closing time if you want to be sure about getting served. And BTW the closing times on Google are incorrect; they are only open until 10 on Fridays and Saturdays, not every day. Although it's a long drive from where we actually live, we definitely plan to come back in winter to sit next to the cozy fireplace and sample the famous chicken pot pie and shepherd's pie croquettes. My partner absolutely loved this place, and he's quite picky.

The buns were hard and stale. my partner ordered medium-rare, but it came out bone dry, almost white throughout. Crumbly meat. But I don't have solid anything else either Update: my partner has food poisoning too. Do not come here. The lovely location is not a good enough excuse to ruin your night.
