Cute cafe! I liked the latte art. Will definitely come back if I'm in Portland again.

This was only a short river walk from our stay at the Kimpton so we headed here before a day of hiking. We ordered at the counter. A hot latte and the açaí bowl were my breakfast choice. Loved them. We chose a table outside and enjoyed seeing all the people and pets going by. They brought out our order, including coffee and juice so once you order, head outside and enjoy the morning. Staff was great and helpful. The açaí bowl was a new menu item and apparently popular. I now know why. I had a little coffee left and we needed to leave so I bopped inside and got a Togo cup plus filled my water bottle with ice and water. Great stop. We actually stopped here the next day as well and ordered more substantial breakfasts (French toast and bacon and eggs) and still outstanding food.

Got to come by for their lunch on a sunny day and the outdoor seatings plus the view here can't be beat! Service was a little slow during the brunch rush but staffs were kind. Their Omelette of the day was nice but nothing crazy. Their Frend Toast, on the otherhand, was custardy and delicious. Better than I anticipated! Great portion too. For drinks, the Cappucino was excellent. Love the cute mugs they serve their coffees in.

I'm so glad they have extended hours now for the summer! 8am-4 most days, and until 5-6pm on Fri-Sun. Come out supporting this amazing local business while enjoying the spectacular waterfront view and weather. Super friendly services!!!!! Their daily specials are always on point and delicious too! P.Y. Please considering providing toilet cover seats! You know people will use the toilet paper for it then make it messy on the floor.

This was a cute find by the water. We got two coffees which were great. We also had their omelette with potatoes and standard breakfast (two eggs, bacon, potatoes etc). They give you a number and you seat yourself. They bring the food to you. It was fast service. At the end you bus your table which is no problem. Food was perfect and we are looking forward to stopping in again!

Love this riverfront cafe. The artwork is cool and vibrant. Service was good. Ordered a cider chai and a savory gluten free scone with chanterelle mushrooms, parmesan, and herbs. I am not a fan of mushrooms usually, but the flavors were nice and no weird textures. Great spot along the Riverfront. Decent amount of seating. Paid parking nearby.

Cute place with seating inside and outside along the river. Great people watching lol. I ordered an iced oat milk vanilla latte which was pretty good. 7/10. They were out of a lot of stuff. I ordered the toasted salmon sourdough sandwich. Out of salmon, so used lox instead. It came out not toasted and def was not sourdough bread but was still good, felt like a sandwich I could make at home tho. Don't know if I need to go back but was a cute location.

It was okay. If you're looking for a quick caffeine fix or a bite to eat, this is your place. But if you want to sit down and really enjoy a cup of coffee, this might not be the spot. I ordered a dirty chai, and it was too watery, there was no creaminess to it. On the bright side, the staff were really polite and patient. There's plenty of seating and a great view. Overall, my experience with their coffee was just meh.

I got a french toast. I thought it was pretty mediocre. It was thick, which is good. And it wasn't overly egg-y. I dunno though, it just felt mediocre. I did really like the fresh whipped cream that came with it. It was thick and sweet. Really good. I also really appreciated that the cashier mentioned that I could get a half order. I had already eaten breakfast and wasn't really hungry enough for a full order, I moreso just wanted to try it, so yeah, that was appreciated. It's also cool that you are on the riverfront. The views are nice.

The food was amazing. I had the omelette for the day with sausage, bacon, hot tea and it was $32 service was very helpful and quick.! Beautiful area for a nice walk.

Had an awesome lunch at Little River Cafe. Best bacon in PDX. Such a great sandwich. (I left out the tomato and lettuce).

Everyone was extremely friendly except for the most important one representing your business. The cashier was super friendly to the people before us and the person behind us in line. Made conversation with both customers and she forced herself to say things like "anything else" point out when we were wrong and tried her best to hide how annoyed and unhappy she was with us visiting your establishment. Which was definitely not the case with the other customers. Very disappointed in this one employee of yours. And quite disgusting to have to hear her blow her nose while we are eating. We have daughters that go to school here in Portland and we love to check out new places. Usually everyone is very kind and friendly. Unfortunately she was not.

The bagel sandwich was one of the best I've ever had ! The bagel was crunchy (was that right?) yes! The bagel had a nice crunch when you bite into it but not dry and then the texture turned moist and soft and delicious. OMG. I got it with bacon and egg. I also had an iced latte which was amazing too. I recommend sitting outside along the river. It's a beautiful place. Food service was slow and friendly but expected since they were busy and packed on a Saturday morning.

Spectacular heavy cream biscuit with local Oregon strawberries and a lovely whipped cream, legit, not the aerosolized kind. I highly recommend starting your day with this. We also shared the shredded pork eggs Benedict. I liked it a lot, although I generally appreciate a bit more lemon taste in hollandaise sauce, but this hollandaise was so creamy, smooth and flavorful, I'm not mad. The breakfast potatoes served with this are very tasty - delightfully seasoned and perfectly cooked - crispy outside and fluffy inside. The coffee was very good. Our server, Jared B., was great; just enough interaction to be sure we had what we needed at all times, and as personable as he was efficient. Beautiful location that was spotless and comfortable.

We got here at 10am on a Monday, and every table was filled. It looked like they had numerous staff, but I would guess that the traffic level must be hard to manage. Perhaps because of this, my order of Sawmill breakfast was very poorly prepared. The gravy was luke warm at best. The eggs had the texture of frozen powdered egg that was just thawed. The biscuit was like a brick and hard to eat. I also saw numerous other patrons who were leaving their scrambled eggs untouched. The chicken tenders were warm and delicious, and the quiche was decent. Salad was probably the highlight. Besides that, I think the vibes inside the restaurant were very beautiful and memorable. Just unfortunate that the food was very sub par. I probably wouldn't recommend if you were trying to impress someone important.

I'm going to be thinking about those Foie Gras Dumplings for quite a long time…read more All items I tried last night at Canard were creative, flavorful, well presented and reasonably priced. The garlic fries were spicy in the best way, perfectly crisp, and served steaming hot. The Duck Stack (pancakes covered with duck gravy, onions, and a duck egg) sounded a bit odd to me (and probably many others). When I asked the server if it was good, they told me that people travel to the restaurant specifically for that dish. I'm glad I tried it. Again, very unique with a well balanced spice profile paired with the delicious undertones of a hot pancake. I know I would have never thought of that, doesn't sound like it should work, but....it worked! Service was great, atmosphere was a bit loud with a band playing next door, it was a bit overwhelming, plus a random dude walked into the restaurant and a server lit his joint for him as a courtesy(?)...stunk the place up for a few minutes, but as I thought about it, I decided that was about the most "Portland" thing I had seen all week on my trip :) I'll be going back for sure, I would love to taste through that entire menu. Did I mention the Foie Gras Dumplings? I never had anything like them in my life. That's a dish I would definitely travel back to Portland for.

They actually had a couple choices, and I got the cauliflower tinga. I don't know if it's because I had more coffee and alcohol than food in me at the moment, but it was the best dish I've tasted in a long time. Very spicy, but flavorful. Every cocktail unfolded in layers of flavors. (I tried a sip of my friends' drinks, and I had the Jazzy Aperol Spritz.) Very unique and complex combinations. Seriously, vegans--don't sleep on the tinga. I tried to order another one for the road but there was a snafoo, maybe they saw it and dismissed it as a dupe. We had the coffee (Extracto, love.), I had a really good hef and my mother a very well balanced Bellini that I was very pleasantly surprised with trying. From what I saw, the lunch sounds very good and I'd be more apt to recommend folks give that a shot if they happened to be going there too. I'm not sure if I'd recommend as a must go stop. Vibe wise, the ambience is overall really nice. I think having rolled flatware, even with just upgraded napkins, would better complete the aesthetic you initially see and feel. This would also connect with the price point of the food and quality of the beverages. As a fellow server, on that note I would expect more consistent stronger visual appearance standards with servers. (Sorry guys! But some of you looked great!) Overall, I'd definitely join a friend for coffee and lunch over there in the future. Just wouldn't be my top pick for a celebratory brunch or intimate dinner with a date or friends and fam.
