My partner and I were excited to try this Mexican restaurant, but unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. We ordered a menudo and a taco of barbacoa, while my partner opted for a Mexican plate with beef enchiladas. However, the menudo was the worst I have ever tasted in my life. The meat looked old and the juice was greasy and unappealing. Not only that, but the dish was lacking in flavor and the onion and cilantro were old and soggy. To make matters worse, all the food looked and tasted as if it were something they were trying to get rid of. My partner's enchiladas were also tasteless, and the "crispy taco" was stale. Even the sweet tea had an unpleasant taste that we have never encountered before. I'm not sure how they have any negative reviews. Their tacos got bigger and their prices stayed cheap! Their service was good to us. Greeted immediately upon arrival. Prompt drinks and appetizers. Nice, Speedy service! Queso was GOOD! Even my husband liked it! We aren't huge on the chips but the Queso definitely makes up for it lol. I got the beef fajita Quesadilla tacos. It's an older building so obviously it's not some modern upscale place. But it's an authentic looking place and we enjoyed our meal. "Best enchiladas in town!" The sign is very clearly stated outside of the business. I think it should be changed though to "cheapest enchiladas in town!" Because they are cheap! -but the best? Being greeted with a smile and someone patiently waiting for me to look over the menu was is always nice in a restaurant. Almost everything on the menu is crazy affordable! I was almost shocked by how low the prices were- which is great to keep people coming back time and time again. I ordered the enchilada plate, since they claim to have the best, and was a little disappointed when they arrived. They weren't terrible, but they weren't that great either. The plate, which was $5 or less if I recall) came with rice, beans AND tortillas. Which is insane for $5! Everything was just okay though. It didn't have much taste. I usually buy Bean & Cheese or Bean & Potato breakfast Tacos. Recently I noticed the Beans are hard, not completely cooked. I haven't noticed any rocks, just half-cooked pinto beans. They only give you one salsa for two Tacos. I'm sure the Pico is an extra charge. The Tacos are more expensive. I usually get my Tacos from Las Palapas, this place is closer. The lady who is at the window is very pleasant. Before they were using a young girl who wasn't nice at all. As a kid I begged my parents to bring me here on Saturday mornings. I remember thinking it was such a treat. All I ever got was bean and cheese tacos. I remember them being amazing. Now that I'm a little older I've tried more of the menu. It's all pretty good stuff, my tortillas are always fresh, my coffee is always full. It says on the menu no substitutions please, and they mean it. This is the place to go for blue collar folks and truck drivers, for breakfast and lunch. No matter what time you go they are busy and cooking, it smells amazing inside. This isn't the type of place you go to with a date, or a big group. It's a working class spot, people are eating fast and getting back on the road. Time is money Folks! I miss living in this neighborhood, and Little Taco Factory is one of the reasons why. read more

Stopped for quick lunch while in SA. Ordered: two breakfast tacos - egg/bacon & egg/chorizo, and a bowl of the chicken/vegetable soup. Both the tacos and the soup came in generous portions, especially the bowl of soup. The soup alone could easily be shared between two people, and was brimming with an ample amount of hearty cabbage, potatoes, and large chunks of chicken. The bacon in the breakfast taco was thick-sliced and had a nice smoked flavor. A good gauge of a restaurant for me is in the amount and quality of the bacon used in their food. It probably wasn't nitrate-free healthier-choice standards, but LTF doesn't sell itself as a healthy option, and I wasn't looking for one at the time, so they passed the bacon test. The staff were very friendly, and the food came shortly after being ordered. Plenty of seating areas - almost looked larger on the inside than it did from the outside (enter Tardis reference). The midday crowd hadn't come in for lunch yet, so it was nice and reasonably quiet. Would definitely recommend Little Taco Factory based on experience of: atmosphere, service, food quality and quantity being above expectations. read more

Went to this place because the bestie wanted Mexican after a procedure. The waitress told us the daily special. My daughter and I chose the street tacos due to we do not eat spicy food. I don't eat pepper much less salsa, but I do love street tacos and dress them up how I like (onion, cilantro, avocado, lime and queso fresco, NO salsa). We got our food and I dug in! After my first bite,my mouth was like what the heck?. Being they were small, it was halfway gone with two bites. I was on fire by this time. I noticed they added the salsa to our tacos. I have never ordered street tacos where they take the liberty of adding the salsa. I could not eat them. I talked with the manager, told her my issue and she states (being snarky) they don't put salsa on the tacos and don't make the tacos with regular street taco meat, it's made with carne a la Mexicana (meat cooked with tomato, onion, and jalapeños!) hmm, very close ingredients for salsa ma'am is what I wanted to say. I told her it did not state the type of meat on the menu and could barely eat one. She just looked at me and said "I'm sorry, I'll think about changing our menu in the future". She became rude and asked if that was all. We got up to pay (she was the cashier of course) and she did not offer to comp at least 5% of more than half of the meal I couldn't eat. She was aggressive when speaking to us at the register and basically moving with attitude. I kindly let her know that I would write up this incident here and she just made "an I care less" attitude. I had to pay $21 for some street tacos that gave us awful cramping, the bubble guts and now the go! She added insult to injury when she wished me a nice day so condescendingly. On my first visit at 6:30 a.m. I was fairly impressed. The place was already really busy with many blue collar folks stopping in for To-go orders. The owner was sitting at his table with his compadres and I like that in ant restaurant. Food was far above average. I had a Carne Guisada taco first and it was excellent. Just the right amount of gravy and meat was tender and lean. Then I had a Bacon strip and egg taco. I know, kind of simple but a good general measure wherever I go. Flour tortillas were way above average and I also enjoyed that they had a small but very good basket of chips on the table and the salsa was just right hot for so early in the morning. This place is tricky to get to between I-35 and Loop 410 but worth the route. If you're at Brook Army Medical Hospital it's super easy. Try it! read more
