The absolute worst. So bad that it inspired me to write my very first yelp review. All I ordered was pad Thai with tofu. Seems hard to mess up, right? Nope. The noodles were pale, mushy, and hardly had any sauce. There were like three tiny pieces of green onion in the whole thing and nothing else. Tofu was super oily, weirdly soft and flavorless. My second visit. This time i had the same beef with brocolli, etc and also Green Curry. We also had the number 6 crispy toufu. The only thing I enjoyed this time was the salad and the green curry. The beef was ok. They actually served me a wrong item (fried spring roll). It was basically spring roll wrapped with mayonaise inside. No kidding. The Crispy toufu is miserable. 8 triangular pieces, really small. Only tasty due to the sauce. The portions of the dishes are really small. The Thai iced tea is quite tasteless. read more

Five stars because this is by far the best Thai food in Flagstaff. Other places rely too much on heavy sauce, overloading with oyster and/or fish sauce, or having fancy pants decor. Little Thai Kitchen is little, they serve Thai food, and it tastes like it was made in your grandma's kitchen (if your grandma was from Thailand and loved to cook.) Little. Thai. Kitchen. I'm vegetarian and this place is especially great for me because there are no hidden meat products. If you order without meat, you get a meat-free dish. If you order with meat, you get fresh, well-prepared meat. The little salad you get with the peanut sauce is SO good. Yum :) I am particularly fond of the Cashew Nut Tofu (also available with chicken) and the Bangkok Noodles. The curries are fantastic. The veggies are always fresh and as lovely to look at as they are to eat. My dad is very fond of the Pad Thai. Mukta is usually working the front house...she is so sweet and kind. I suppose you could argue that other Thai restaurants in town have more ambiance and might make a better date destination. But wouldn't your date be more impressed that you know how to find good food than that you picked a place with fancy decor? Do you want to date someone who cares more about looks than substance? What this place lacks in size and decor it more than makes up for in flavor and price. After hearing about this place from quite a few friends I couldn't not try this restaurant. The main reason being that at that time there was very few options in flagstaff and I was dying for a new place to eat. I absolutely love the #3 (I think) it is light and delicious and fun to share with someone you love. Next up is the spice beef and noodle soup, which I find to be absolutely delicious. My favorite entrees are yellow curry and the Rambo. If you are in the mood for delicious food that might be a little out of the ordinary flagstaff fare than I strongly suggest checking this place out. Service is friendly and quick and almost every dish I have tried has been quite good. The only reason I am giving it four stars is for the size and difficulty of accommodating parties larger than I would say around 5-6. read more

Fresh little appetizing salad with peanut sauce. I did not ask for it, it's delightful. Romaine lettuce, finely chopped red onion and carrots and finely cut cabbage. Feels like a movie trailer for what is to come. The french call it 'une amuse geule' No water or hot tea for me. Just Coca Cola and a pot of spicy red pepper sauce (sambal oelek) The cola will kill the too much spicy ness. Pad Thai is good, my nose runs from the spicyness and that was exactly what I wanted. I used to eat at little thai kitchen for 13 years (it was my go to date place). A few times my dates found stuff in their food like pieces of plastic and one time a staple. I stopped bringing any dates there. Well, I figured it was the owner (a woman) making mistakes or something, but, when the owner started dating the dishwasher (a guy) I noticed strange things happening to me. This was after the dishwasher started preparing the food. Tonight I ordered take-out, I got there early. I heard the owner screaming from the back that the food wasn't ready yet and that her place isn't a buffet. I canceled the order. It made me very distrustful of the kitchen at little thai kitchen and therefore I will eat at Pato Thai or the new Red Curry Thai downtown. At Red Curry Thai you can BYOB. Little hole in wall feel got me really excited but it went downhill from there. 25 minutes after putting in our order, we still hadn't received our food. In fact, no one had received their food. Not even the tables who had ordered as we got there. Service aside, the food was good but not great. I got the Bangkok noodles which was supped to have veggies but what that equals is three tiny sprigs of broccoli and a pinch of shredded carrots. Other than that it was just noodles and sauce, which was delicious but still... They asked how spicy we want our food and we both said 3 out of 5. I'm not a spice fiend but that wasn't spicy at all. If what we had was 3 then I can't imagine what a 1 tastes like. A group of 5 across from us put in their order before us but we got our food first. They were pretty upset and the server told them it would be a few more minutes. 5 minutes later the server told them their food was half way done and on its way. They opted to leave and I don't blame them. I only know all of this because the place is tiny and there wasn't any music playing so you can pretty much hear everything that people are saying unless their whispering. From the time I entered and sat down less than a minute to be provided a menu and place my drink order. Little is no joke. I could cal this a hole in the wall but that would make it sound uninviting it is very pleasant space if you're not claustrophobic. Not a vegetarian but I love crispy tofu so often I will order the Rambo tofu here. I think the variety might be better (there are some Thai dishes I like that they don't have), and there was a time they were sending people to the Walgreen's across the street to us their bathroom; hopefully that has changed. This is some of the best Thai food I've had in the state! It's sweet, savory and spicy in all the right ways, and I can't seem to get enough of it. They offer a wide variety on their menu, which is great if you're a vegetarian or new to Thai. The service is always friendly and you can't beat the price. Their only drawback is they have a very small location with no bathroom. But the good news is they offer carry out to compensate for that. You want the food and service to stay just the same, but wouldn't it be great if they could expand and have a few more tables and maybe a beer list. It's been about a year and a half since the last time I had eaten here in the very small strip center Thai restaurant. And the food is, at best, just OK. It seems like there has been a recent upswing in Thai restaurants in Flagstaff, so you almost need to stand out.... And they don't here. We had the Tom Ka Gai, and it was not as creamy as I have had it in the past (and how I prefer it). There was also something floating in my water glass....ewwwww. This is great (although very tiny) Thai restaurant. Everything we had was tasty and carefully prepared. We ordered all vegetarian dishes. Some restaurants offer vegetarian options but they aren't very good. At Little Thai Kitchen the vegetarian dishes are delicious and satisfying. The spice level was perfect (pick your leve of spicy on a scale of 1 to 5). Even the hot tea we ordered was wonderful. Also, I like the fact that you get a small salad with peanut dressing before your meal. The only negative to this restaurant is that currently there is no bathroom in the restaurant itself. You have to go across the street to Walgreens. Even so, I will definitely eat here again next time I'm in Flagstaff! read more
