Noodles were on the mushy side

First and foremost, the restaurant was super dirty. Like, noticeably so. I love a good hole in the wall but the caked on food residue and dust covering all surfaces was too much. Secondly, while no food really stood out to me, I will say this is NOT vegetarian or pescatarian friendly. Pretty much no option for those of us who don't eat beef, pork or chicken. A couple of the items we ordered tasted too strong to where you could only eat one. Idk, we had high hopes.

Yasss! I loved this little restaurant with quite the menu of dumplings. It's a little head to find, but the restaurant is there, don't give up. The dumplings Re made there. There's a small window that shows the dumpling makes working away. My family and I loved it. Best part, soooo much cheaper than Din Tai Fung. Enjoy! P.S. my photos aren't the best, but we were so excited we started eating right away.

Pan fried pork buns didn't have a super well fried bottom and the filling wasn't as juicy as I'd like. Braised pork was a bit tough. Dumplings were good! Also got some appetizers like the pig ear and tendons. The beef tendon was really just beef, didn't really see tendons. Service was good. For two appetizers and three dishes the bill came out to $20pp so it was a very cheap place imo. The interior renovation is set up like a sushi restaurant with their sushi bar counter which was interesting.

4.5 Stars I LOVE mom and pop dumpling shops like these. Such a large variety of dumplings, buns, noodle dishes, and small dishes. Everything was fresh and flavorful. They were out of the tofu salad when we went :( Hot & Sour Soup ($2.99): Solid! Pan-Fried Pork Buns ($11.99): The BEST, fluffy soft dough with a juicy filling. Beef and Onion Boiled Dumplings ($14.99): savoury, small, and delicate. KimChee Beef Fried Noodles ($16.99): super tasty, nicely cooked noodles. Loved the chili oil and black vinegar dipping sauce served on the side as well. They give out some legit logo'd take out bags too!

We got there around 10:11, they were about to close but we thought the service and food was amazing !!! We ordered on our phones and paid before hand, which is awesome. The food came out quick and hot and fresh !!! The general Tao's was sooo crispy !!! It was 1000/10. The wings tasted amazing and super good quality. The pork soup dumplings were sooo flavorful !! ‍ Great restaurant.

The menu only lists two vegan items. When we asked the staff, he rattled off some things pretty quickly. Definitely not enough time for us to write it down or mark it on the online menu patrons are asked to access via a QR code. It would have been convenient if the staff person had starred the items on one of our open online menus. Or, better yet, the vegan items were bored as such in the menu Be prepared for no table service as one orders via the QR code on your phone, pay via a QR code, and there isn't really a way to reengage the staff after they drop off the water and point you to the QR code. But damn, the two vegan dumpling choices are ace! The vegan fried rice was also tops. Definitely coming back.

This was my second time here at this small and cozy dumpling spot. Came on a Monday afternoon and we were the only table there. You do order online through their website so service is a little lacking, but overall it's pretty good. My friend and I got the Pork XLB, Pan Fried Pork Buns, and the Pork Shrimp Potstickers. I really enjoyed the skirt on the pot stickers and it reminded me of a cracker. The XLB skins are a bit thick compared to other well known places, but the taste is definitely there. The pork buns were also pretty standard but I liked them, and would get again to try a different filling. The dipping sauces they provide on the table were a little diluted though. I mixed all three together (chili oil, vinegar, and some garlic sauce) and it was almost tasteless. It also seems that their Togo and frozen dumpling option is way more popular than the dine-in, so seating has not been a problem for me both times I've been here. Their togo bags are super cute so I definitely recommend snagging one if you give this place a visit.

Pan fried pork dumplings are my favorite! It was soft, and flavourful, and juicy!!! It was really yummy. Pork dumplings were alright, they could be better, but pot stickers didn't taste like pot stickers. Their dumplings are best if eaten steamed. Service was alright, and ambiance was okay too. Maybe I will go back.

My friend and I stumbled upon this really lowkey restaurant that has homemade Chinese dumplings, pan-fried buns & noodles. Everything tasted super fresh, simple and delicious. The price was very reasonable and their dumplings was super authentic and tasty. One thing I love about this place is that we can egg eggs to our dumplings, it was super unique that not any restaurants l've been to had before

The food here is so incredible, I crave it weekly. The pork and Napa dumplings, along with the dan dan noodles are perfection.

How are the tendons?

I assume you are talking about the spicy beef tendons. It is a good choice to spice things up at the beginning of the meal and increases your appetite. However, it could be too spicy and odd textured compared to most dishes in the US.

However I decided to check it out since it's a lot closer to where I live and was craving some sushi. Their selection isn't as big as FOB's but it's still very generous. They have inari, rolls, and nigiri - they do limit the number of "expensive" nigiri you can get though which does kind of suck. I tried a few rolls and a few nigiri. They all tasted really fresh, and I like how they aren't as enormous and one-note tasting as FOB's. Everything tasted unique! This should do the job to satisfy the sushi cravings :)

This is a sushi by the pound place in SLU, but they also have a menu with variety of things such as udon, inari, chirashi, etc. The selection of fish you can choose from in the weigh your sushi section is not that big. They only have 2 high premium fishes available: otoro and amberjack. However you can only get 1 of each, which to me defeats the purpose. I also got a bulgogi inari and it was $5 / piece which is pricey. Another thing is that they use a lot of rice, too much rice. Service is ok, they ring you up and bring the food to you if you ordered through the menu. It's a very relaxing and chill area as well. The food we got was just ok but for the price, it's not worth it. I'm glad I tried but most likely will not be back.

Perfect rice to "filling" ratio, great flavor combos, and an adorable little booth inside a market. I also get their miso and it's delicious. The hojicha latte is strong, also as expected. Get it if you want that caffeine boost and are craving a deep, dark roast. And the miso soup was not what you normally get at other Japanese restaurants; it was exponentially better! I skipped ordering it at first, assuming it would be basic, but the owner gave us free miso, and it was the kindest gesture I could imagine on a cold Seattle afternoon because the miso may be the best not-so-secret dish on the menu. It was hearty and made with love and care, like real home cooking, but at the Melrose Market. So good that I just wrote a whole paragraph dedicated to it. Skip the other shops in the building and come sit at this intimate cafe. You'll be taken care of, inside and out. Sankaku deserves every single one of these five stars .
