Absolutely horrible food. We ordered dumplings, beans, vegetables, and noodle soup. Here are the following feedbacks on each item: 1. Over-cooked vegetables 2. Soggy pan-fired dumplings 3. This is surprisingly good spot next to the Thai place we had wanted to go to. It's a good alternative to that spot. This is a hut out of the way near the Highlands. It's on Route 99 so pretty busy. There a few spots out in front but there is street just to the south which has plenty of places to park. When you enter it's like being back to some spots in China. It's clean and there's just a QR code for the menu. We love these family owned spot though . And the menu is great. We tried the curried lamb, the Jian Bao (friend buns repair they are good), the tofu and the fried string beans as well as the Xiao long Bao and wonton. The service was fast and friendly and soon had so much food piled up. The highlight was definitely the curried lamb. It has just the right amount of cumin and spice. We also really liked the string beans. Nice spice and a little heat. The tofu was nice but maybe a little more spice would have been great. The Xiao long Bao and wonton are made on site. You can watch the hand folding as that station is in the front of the restaurant. The automatic dough flattened is pretty cool. The skins could have been a bit thinner of course and it lacked the juiciness of say a Doughzone. But it tasted very nice. The space itself is pretty minimal. Came by this place, with anticipation for their noodles and dumplings. A place that has dumplings in its name, should offer excellent dumplings, yes? Walked in and was rather underwhelmed by the experience. It seemed that they were already in the weeds serving customers and takeout orders. Not a friendly greeting, more like oh no. We attempted to overlook the lack of enthusiasm our presence caused and perused the menu. Lots of delicious sounding noodles and dumplings. We started out with their pork chive dumplings. We rated these as just ok. Soggy noodle filling and under seasoned pork and chive filling. Unfortunately, Soup came out cold and congealed fat in broth. Onion scallion pancakes are a favorite of mine. These were mired by the harsh taste of the baking powder used in the recipe. This overpowering any other taste in the pancake, unfortunately. We tried the curried lamb, I loved curried lamb and their version was great.Next, Xiao long Bao and wontons, which were really good. Nice skin on the Xiao long Bao. Wontons had a tasty filling, that filled up the wontons. Had to order the tofu and the fried string beans. Tofu was nicely seasoned and the string beans perfectly crispy in a tangy garlic sauce. Overall, the food was hit or miss. Cannot get over the feeling that this restaurant is overwhelmed. This does not make for a good dining experience. Poor service and great food is acceptable. Wow! Our party of six had made a reservation for a private room on Christmas Day and we had soooooo much food! The crispy garlic green beans and the broccolini with what looked like collard greens and cooked in a chicken broth were so tasty! My friends could eat pot stickers and many other things I couldn't eat because I have a failing liver. But they have big ol' shrimp that looked more like prawns with the heads still on them. Ugh! Not my thing. There was a big bowl of pork chunks cooked in a wok and I had a few of those but again, I had to watch out for too much salt. A friend had brought Prosecco to share and I accidentally drank a little bit before realizing it was alcohol and gave it to someone else. And that DID make me mad, more than the salt issue. I was never a big fan of wine, beer, or martinis but Prosecco is light and crisp and I truly wanted it...sigh. Oh, well. The waiter kept bringing us cold water and various hot tea. I used chopsticks for some things but it was too difficult to cram food into my face that way and I knew I had to get more of those garlic green beans. I hope I can return someday. Here's hoping for a new liver soon! It was very laidback and the private room had heat and that was great, considering how close we were to the outside doors. If you're handicapped or use a wheelchair or walker like I do, the parking lot is not your friend! I had to walk verrrrry slowly up to the restaurant and then very slowly walk back to my friends' car. I was very nervous about that. Also got some appetizers like the pig ear and tendons. The beef tendon was really just beef, didn't really see tendons. Service was good. For two appetizers and three dishes the bill came out to $20pp so it was a very cheap place imo. On a cold Saturday afternoon, my 3 friends and I sought for a warm and hearty meal. Though unassuming and quaint, this restaurant excelled in service, flavor, cleanliness, and price. I can undoubtedly say this will become my go-to spot for Northern-Chinese food. The owner (I believe) ushered us to a small table, serving us a teapot of complimentary hot (jasmine?) tea and a carafe of cold water. We ordered a little bit of everything and ate family-style: beef noodle soup, shrimp fried rice, delicious eggplant, pan fried beef buns, and pan fried mushroom and veggie buns. My pescatarian friend also was pleased with the diverse food options! Within 15-20 minutes of ordering, each dish was brought out. The generous portions and presentation of the food impressed us. The 5 dishes could easily feed 6-7 people. The noodles were fresh and best eaten right away. The rice was seasoned well with yummy bites of egg. The buns were perfectly crispy and juicy. The eggplant was our favorite! We could not stop eating it. By the end, we were extremely satisfied and full, each taking some leftovers for a small meal. Thanksgiving this year was a bit of a lonely one! I was sick and my kiddo was just getting over a cold. We decided to stay home and have a quiet Thanksgiving dinner with the pups. When asked my kiddo if she's was OK with it just being the two of us and our dogs she responded, "I don't like Thanksgiving food anyway." When I asked her what she wanted to eat for our Thanksgiving dinner she replied, "Chinese Food"! Since my car was broken down I needed something walking distance. I took one out dogs and ventured out to see what restaurants might be open on Thanksgiving Day! I was happy to see that "Little Ting's Dumpling" was open! There was a gentleman making potstickers from scratch and you could watch him thru the window! I've never seen someone make the dough and all the yummy ingredients from scratch so this was fun to watch! Since I had my dog with me the owner/waiter was so kind and offered to take my order close to the front door and brought the food out to me when it was finished. The inside of the restaurant was clean, quiet and well lit. They had a private seating area for a large group of people towards the front of the building and more private seating for a smaller group throughout the restaurant. Everyone working there was professional and kind and the food was delicious! We will definitely be going back and hope we can stop by for a yummy Christmas meal soon! read more

service and ambiance: N/A I ordered through DoorDash, so I can't give a review on their service and ambiance. I do have to say, the portions were massive and speed was appreciated. As someone who is kind of fed dumplings everywhere I go, I have a pretty good grasp on what I want in a dumpling. Skin not too thick, good soup to filling ratio, etc. And so when I say this, for DoorDash, this is probably my new go-to. food: 4.5/5 stars I ordered the Pork and Chive dumplings steamed and the chicken noodles, and it was enough for MULTIPLE portions. The chicken fried noodle is what I'm looking for when I'm craving standard Chinese stirfry, and had a good amount of protein for the content. The dumplings, taste wise, pretty damn close to my favorites in San Francisco. When I opened my take-out container, they had left the steam paper in the box, and when I took a bite of the dumpling, I was so surprised because it splattered all over me. By the way, the restaurant is in Shoreline, and I'm in UDistrict, and the fact that there was so much juice in that bite after all that time was a bit astonishing. The only reason why this isn't a five-star is because some of the dumpling skins did end up ripping, but to be honest it's probably because they are absolutely juicy. This was my second time here at this small and cozy dumpling spot. Came on a Monday afternoon and we were the only table there. You do order online through their website so service is a little lacking, but overall it's pretty good. My friend and I got the Pork XLB, Pan Fried Pork Buns, and the Pork Shrimp Potstickers. I really enjoyed the skirt on the pot stickers and it reminded me of a cracker. The XLB skins are a bit thick compared to other well known places, but the taste is definitely there. The pork buns were also pretty standard but I liked them, and would get again to try a different filling. The dipping sauces they provide on the table were a little diluted though. I mixed all three together (chili oil, vinegar, and some garlic sauce) and it was almost tasteless. It also seems that their Togo and frozen dumpling option is way more popular than the dine-in, so seating has not been a problem for me both times I've been here. A go to place for dumplings! I love that this place has such a big menu. Haven't tried everything yet but here are some of my favorites: FOOD: Pan Fried Pork & Chive Dumplings - Pan fried to perfection :) The pork and chives made a good balance. Pork Soup Dumpling XLB - Classic dish! Love that the soup was flavorful and each little bite was perfect. Pan-fried pork buns - Sizable buns and it was pan fried well. The bun is super soft and the ratio of meat to bun was great. Handmade noodles with spicy sauce - Delicious dish with a generous amount of noodles. It can be a little spicy for some people with the chili flakes but I appreciated that it wasn't just spicy. It was spicy and had good flavor. Beef Fried Noodles - This dish was the only mediocre dish for me. It just didn't have too much flavor to it. Still decent though! Wonton in Chili Oil - Another great dish! The chili oil really isn't too spicy and would lean more on the sweeter side. It was so good we actually ordered a second bowl. SERVICE: The place isn't that big so it can be a wait when it's peak time. Service is quick though. I felt that we didn't have to wait too long after we had placed in our order. AMBIANCE: The place is small but comfortable. Overall, it's one of my favorite places to go if I want a huge menu selection for dumplings. Bait & switch Overall Experience: It's our first and our last visit here! Typically, I expect average service at Chinese restaurants because the food is the star. If service ends up as great as the food tastes then that is just gravy!! We go to places for the food and not for the service. Tonight, we were in the mood to try a new place. It's best to back into the spots because there's not much room to turn around. Space: It must of been a sushi place before because the booths, tables and sushi bar format doesn't match a Chinese dumplings place. However, this isn't a huge deal since it means lower startup cost and usually lower food cost. We noticed mostly people do takeouts because the restaurant was empty. Staff: Manager/Cashier - The Chinese guy who is running the place tonight was rude, not friendly and offers excuses. (Read our experience story below) Server - Only one server in the restaurant. The young Chinese female server doesn't speak nor understand English. Mainly, she just brings the water and food to the table. Ting's is an excellent spot on Greenwood that goes into rotation. Small and comfortable but has enough room at your table. I had the fried [lightly] Cauliflower and mushroom dumplings (which I somehow didn't take a picture of :/). Both were delicious and well-seasoned. The menu has lots of small bites that are great for sharing on a date or with friends. Pro-tip: You know it is legit when you see the condiment tray and mixing bowl. They have black vinegar, chili crisp ( Lao gan ma), which seems to be everywhere, and soy sauce. Experiment with the portions and make the dipping sauce your own. The sauce brings something special to the meal with a touch of homemade to having someone else do the cooking. Bonus-tip. Welcome to flavor town!! My fiancé and I went to this place during the LATE night because we were starving and had nothing to cook. We were desperate, but not Taco Bell/McDonald's desperate. Somehow we were lucky enough to find this place and it was open. We got chicken wings, chicken dumplings, and beef bao buns. The food took about 15-20 minutes to prepare. We ordered online and the ordering/pick up process was seamless. There are a few parking spots in front, maybe 3-4. The restaurant is clean and has seating, but it seems this place gets most of its business from online orders. Don't let this deter you though- give them a try!!! The different dumplings we had, shrimp and the soup were yummy, 4.5 for those The 2 beef ones we got were lacking in seasoning. I don't feel they added enough of anything to it besides the main ingredients. The Boa like buns were sub par to what I expected. I love boa buns from any place, so disappointing about these. The garlic green beans looked yummy on another table as did the noodles-I was worried it was going to be too spicy so we didn't get it Place was clean and the waiters were nice enough in interactions. This is an honest review for Little tings and worth a shot to try of course. My boyfriend and I used to come here sometimes and I just went back today because he loves them so much. (Note: this is about this experience versus my past experiences here) Honestly, first and foremost we really like the pan fried pork buns (regular & pickled Napa) they have as it is what they're known for. Definitely better than some of the more known places so we always get those when we're here so I would give it a 4.5/5. I've also had the handmade spicy noodles and I would give those a 3.5/5 nothing too special but not bad. I'm sure there are other great options on their menu as they specialize in dumplings. However, today I got the pan fried pork and shrimp potsticker. It was so not great... I expected better because when dumplings are pan fried there should be a bit of a crunch or something but it was just oily. There was no indication that it was pan fried but tasted like it was boiled. Pretty disappointing for me cause I know what it should taste like. Maybe they switched cooks or something because I don't remember it being like this. Next, ok so I don't particularly love how they do their cucumber (not pictured bc I can't find the photos) so I don't get them anymore. They're not crunchy or just not the flavor that I want when comparing to other Chinese restaurants. Their hot & sour soup is good I have to add:) I wanna talk about the ambiance of the place as the final thing. It feels traditional and it's not bad but there are no windows. I had a Lowkey bad experience with the sauces they provided as well. The rack, chili oil, and soy sauce was all dirty and sticky which made this experience particularly not pleasant. My appetite actually decreased after the pan fried potstickers and the sauce being like that. It wasn't like that at all the tables though? But we went early closer to when they first opened so I don't see why it would be dirty. Hopefully they'll clean it and it'll change. Overall, they do give you a little cute bag at the end for take out. To be honest, I would still give them another try and come back because we do like the pan fried pork buns and the price isn't bad but maybe just not as often.
