Went to Living Spaces to purchase a new sectional couch. Talking to the sales person she talked us into the carefree insurance. We hesitated at first but she was very convincing on why we should get the insurance. We were happy with our couch until we smelled smoke coming from the usb electrical consul, we immediately unplugged our electronics and unplugged the consul from the wall outlet. Contacted the carefree insurance "she sold us on" sent them pictures told them what happened. Carefree said we could get a new usb electrical consul. They said to contact Living spaces to get the new one. I called and living spaces said they were on back order that I had to wait till they came back to stock. I waited a month no phone call, so I call living spaces, they told me they no longer carry that sectional. Living spaces told me I can get a whole new sectional to replace mine, but they needed an okay from Carefree ins. Carefree won't get back to me or Living Spaces. WORST COSTUMER SERVICE EVEVR! There were quite a few scratches and dings and nicks in it, so I was hesitant. I had my husband meet me there after work the next day to take a look. We said that we would go ahead and buy it, and I was told by that sales person, that her manager said that we cannot purchase the floor sample. She said it was probably because they would be having it as a Black Friday Doorbuster. I watched the ads and saw the dining room set in the Black Friday promotional video - same price, same set. So, even though I detest black Friday, I went to Living Spaces and I was there right when they opened at 7am. The sales person went back with me to the table, I said I wanted it, she pulled it up on her tablet, and said that we could have delivery by the next day. When she tried to complete the order, it wouldn't allow her to, so she checked with somebody else, who said that she could override it, and still have it to us by Saturday. Then when we went to the cashier to check out, a different manager said it wasn't available and that they wouldn't have any until January/February. I walked into the store and not one person greeted me, ok life goes on. I made it halfway through when a lady asked if I was looking for anything specific and I said yes bedroom furniture she pointed to the back and walked away. I walked around the entire store and when I got to the front I heard a bald fat guy laughing so I asked if he was the manager and he said yes. I went in to the store because I purchased a beautiful dining room set online. I received same day delivery and the order was delivered within 3 hours. The delivery guys were professional and set everything up quickly. When I walked into the store, no one greeted me. I spent several minutes browsing and no one offered help. I came across some clearance Devore and stopped a woman to ask her if I take those items or if they have more in the back. She starts talking down to me explaining that I can take anything I want to purchase and blah, blah, blah...I walked off. I finally found what I was looking for near a register and a male employee happened to be walking up. He rang me up for what I wanted, had a pleasant attitude and redeemed the name of Living Spaces. They're expensive BUT their clearance prices are awesome!! You can shop online and have items delivered the same day. Shopping around the store was overwhelming for me....I don't know what it is about the way it's set up but I didn't care for shopping in-store. Just had a vacation house build and looking to fill it with all new furniture . Things where going great we liked a lot of things and ready to buy when a Totally rude young short "security" guard with tons of tats sought me out even though I'm 20 f or more feet away from any other customer or employees and demanded I were a mask immediately . He didn't ask nicely and didn't care that I just got tested negative or have lung problems, causing low blood oxygen levels . I was nice I put a mask on and headed for the exit . I highly suggest you purchase a mattress else where. I've purchased furniture, couches, and now a mattress. 1 leg broke on a chair the first month, they wouldn't replace it. Been having couch problems and their warranty team said I've filed too many claims. I purchased extra warranties on each. (Structure of the couch snapped, usb cord wires caught fire, motor went bad, fabric being stretched) whatever, it happens. Icing on the cake is when I purchased a mattress. During it being delivered, i went back into the store to purchase additional items and seen the mattress I originally wanted discounted. I asked a manager to cancel the one being delivered and that I'd like to buy the upgraded one on sale. ($50 price difference). He said he couldn't do anything and it's not possible. I then stated I'd just cancel the order, and he said all sales are final for store credit. I can exchange the mattress if I didn't like it after 30 days, however, he wouldn't be able to honor the sale price. (Day after I purchased it, they all went on sale.) I called 5 times each time I called they would tell me someone would call me back but they would never call me, I even ask for a manager even a manager won't call me, finally one my 5th call I spoke to warranty manager she said there is nothing wrong with the rug, it is very obvious on the picture that the stitches are missing. Finally I have to go to the store and showed the defective rug to the manager and he agreed that it was defective. I'm so tired of hearing this "Covid" excuse from many people. I myself am a nurse literally in the middle of this pandemic so no, I do not want to understand. We spent over $3,000 for these really nice recliner set and have been waiting for over 3 weeks and today should have been our delivery day and all I kept hearing is excuses and blaming Covid for it. I was told our next delivery day will be Sep 25th and I personally spoke to a supervisor and to be honest, I don't trust a word they say. I guess I understand that they are behind and maybe under staffed but at what point do the "big bosses" give a crap about their own company, money being lost and most importantly their disappointing lack of quality customer service???? My husband and I had TWO extremely horrible experiences shopping at Mor. We had miserable delivery experiences (furniture delivered at 1am, couch missing cushions, broken/damaged pieces, ect...), were provided terrible customer service when we tried to remedy the issues, and have gone through a 12 piece furniture set and a recliner chair in 4 years. Needless to say, I was extremely stressed and hesitant about having to purchase ANOTHER new couch. My experience at Living Spaces, however, was the complete opposite of my previous furniture buying experiences. I purchased a recliner couch and chair Saturday evening, and by 10:30am Sunday morning, they were sitting in my living room. I couldn't be more happy with the customer service and delivery!!! Both Scott and Elaine were incredibly helpful. Scott took the time to ensure we purchased something we would be truly happy with, rather than try to force the first piece of furniture we looked at upon us. Although we have only had our new furniture for a few days, so far we are absolutely in love with the pieces we purchased! So disappointed. My wife and I had tried all of the big furniture stores near Murrieta, but could not find the right color. When we discovered we could have a couch made in a custom color we were excited. We ordered a large, three piece sectional and could not wait for delivery. Before 8:00 am on delivery day I received a phone call asking if our three piece couch was in two different colors. I said no and was told they would call back. When I did not receive a phone call by the beginning of the delivery window I checked the email confirmation to find my order was no longer ready. I then called customer service and spent over 10 minutes on hold only to be told someone would call me back in 24 - 48 hours. I then asked for a supervisor. After I explained the situation he placed me on hold for another 10 minutes. I was then told my order that was supposed to be delivered that day would arrive between May 8th and 22nd. When I explained that our old couch had been picked up the day before and we were without a couch I was told we could go online and find a couch for immediate delivery. No apology. No offer to rush the order. Instead I will receive $100.00 gift certificate for my trouble. I understand that mistakes happen, but how the problems are handled matter. I might not have written this had someone called me back in the the morning, or tried to handle the problem rather than tell someone would call in the next day or two. This company is trying to charge my elderly parents who are on a fixed income $300 to return a mattress they refused delivery cause Living Spaces would not pick up their old mattress and put in the plastic sack the new one came in. The old mattress had a detergent stain on it , They wanted my 87 year old father to do it, he's a veteran that had open heart surgery and a pacemaker and cannot physically do what they refused to do. So now they want to take 2 weeks to refund their money and charge them $300 to return. All they had to do was simply put on gloves and put the plastic covering over the old mattress. I called and had to fill out paperwork and send pictures. From there they told me it would take 8 weeks to get replacement pieces. So my furniture is sliding around and unsafe. Made two purchases from this store in excess of $8000 also purchased the what they call the Carefree warranty plan our furniture outdoor furniture we have is less than two years old and developed some tears in the cushions so we called the warranty to make a claim and was denied Because they said we did not file the claim as soon as we saw the tears which I feel is impossible because how do you know exactly when the tears occurred. It seems that they just don't want to honor the warranty. They should call their warranty the Careless warranty because they could careless about customer service! We have given living spaces A LOT of business in the past 3 years. 3 couches and a couple other furniture pieces but this last order we placed on july 5th has been a nightmare to deal with. We were told it would be ready in 4 weeks. Then after 4 weeks we were told 6-8. We are now at about 10 weeks and got an email this morning that it won't be delivered until the end of OCTOBER. We were told 4 weeks, not 4 months. Otherwise we wouldn't have ordered (considering we don't even have a couch right now) they are telling us we can't cancel since it's a "custom order" any couch you order from living spaces is pretty much custom. Love the man with the keys that opened the door early (I didn't ask, but I did sure have to use the restroom! lol ) This is a lovely store with so much beautiful stuff to look at and if you make enough money, lovely stuff to buy. I honestly thought a lot of what they were selling was so nice I took a few pictures for future wishes but they also had a lot of small items with no price and the only employee near me could not even figure out their prices either. I'm pretty sure living spaces has a scam going on with their finance company. Not including ourselves, there have been 4 people who have undergone the same issue: First, your synchrony card never arrives Second, you try to make a purchase but you don't have a card so they tell you it has to be delivered to verify your address since you don't have the card handy because that's how they prevent fraud... but you know your drivers license some how won't do? Finally, after all the back and fourth you end up paying the delivery price because you absolutely can't not pick up your item in store and then they make their extra money. Bravo. I understand the backlog issues with all products. But I was told the furniture I purchased was in stock which turned out to be a lie. It was not in stock. I've been waiting 4 months now. It's finally ready for delivery and the delivery email had the incorrect address but my invoice had the correct address. Plus they gave me a 6 hour window to be delivered. I paid up front for the delivery but they wanted to charge me extra for the weekend. I had to call customer service to challenge the extra charge for the weekend delivery after being 4 months delayed. The sales person was to follow up with me concerning some additional items I wanted to purchase and never back from her. Never again will I spend my money there again. I really wish that we would have known how horrible the quality of this furniture was before we purchased. In under 6 months, our chaise on our section broke and in less than 10 months, our arm on our recliner broke. We are 15 months in and fixing the arm for the third time on the recliner, but the chaise is unfixable. Pieces of wood were literally stapled together to make one piece. Huge knots on the wood on important structural pieces that should have been heavy duty, solid pieces of wood. I called and was told "sorry, you didn't buy a warranty and craftsmanship is not covered". I had my last couches for 12 years, through 4 kids and never had a structural issue, but I bought them from a reputable furniture store. Buyer beware.
