Just ate my first lunch from Livi's Pockets and I was totally wow'ed. It's clean, everything looks so fresh and is homemade, and everything I have tasted so far is amazing. Like seriously amazing. Like, why did it take Downtown Providence so long to get a place like this?, amazing. I couldn't decide what to get and asked if they could just make me up a plate, which they gladly did. It had a base of a little lettuce and added some hummus, taziki sauce, cucumber/tomato salad, kalamata olives, banana peppers and some seriously delicious WARM grilled chicken. I have no idea why, but this is the only place I've found in almost 6 years where I can get a salad with WARM grilled chicken on top. I am in love!! And it was good chicken too. Marinated so it's tasty, but not overpowering. Grilled, yet not to the point where it is dried out. When I came back to the office some other gals had gone for lunch they had these homemade pita chips dusted with salt and pepper and oh my word, these things were delicious! Little, golden nuggets of deliciousness. The portions are defnitely sizeable and that may be my biggest challenge - I am going to need to start finding people to share with! It's not a cheap lunch (certainly not expensive either) but it's a fantastic value for what you get particulary when you compare it to what $10 gets you at some other locations. This place will not have a problem staying in business if they continue to put out this same quality food. It will for sure be on my regular rotation! Stumbled across this new lunch spot purely by chance about a week after it opened. They seem to still be working out the kinks in their ordering system, which is pretty cramped -- odd, since the space is actually pretty big. I ordered the works, which is a falafel wrap with tons of veggies and hummus. They cook the falafel (and chicken etc.) to order, which is worth the wait. The wrap was delicious - falafel was flavorful and crispy, hummus was great, and the tomatoes were really fresh. The wrap fell apart on me as I was eating but I didn't mind eating it with a fork. All in all, a really great option for lunch and a change-up from East Side Pockets. I'll be back. read more

Really glad the Arcade has Livi's Pockets! Livi's has delicious fresh food, a super clean space, friendly staff. I had the falafel and chicken wrap and it was huge and had a lot of flavor. I asked for it spicy so they added hot sauce and banana peppers, and it pleased my palate. This place is great for lunch. Everything is super fresh and the service is quick. Prices tend to be about $8-9 for a wrap or pocket, but portions are pretty large. A couple of notes: 1) The italiano, chicken and mozzarella, and gyro were all very good. 2) There's plenty of seating and the place is pretty clean. 3) Everything can get messy! This is not a great first-date place. So I have always been a fan of middle eastern cuisine but I think Livi's does a great job of connecting traditional flavor with modern food ideas. I always enjoy the Chicken club, which is great because it has all the savory flavors in the chicken but then when you add the bacon, lettuce, mayo, it becomes an american staple. I am always pleased with the service, its like being a part of the family when you walk in and smell the fresh cooked pita chips, homemade rice pudding, and daily soups, its everything worth walking through the city to get. I came here for lunch recently and ordered the signature "Livi's Pocket" wrap. The price isn't bad for a wrap, but unfortunately it wasn't very good. The wrap advertises its ingredients as "lightly breaded eggplant," "fresh mozzarella," lettuce, red bell, and balsamic. While I was drawn to the eggplant, I could hardly taste it for all the balsamic vinaigrette. Weirdly enough, when I did get eggplant it had an almost rubbery texture. With all the lettuce and balsamic it tasted more like a chewy salad than a nice wrap. I'm hesitant to give this place another shot after this experience. The only saving grace was that the wrap was priced relatively low for its size. However, I will say that a friend of mine got "The Works" wrap with falafel and they loved it. read more

I like Livi's! Yes, I agree its an awkward entrance as I literally got into the Arcade and felt a bit foolish when I jet about passed it craning to look for it! So as other reported, there was an employee sitting talking on the phone, the gentleman that entered before me, and myself sort of stood there hearing some banging in the back assuming maybe someone knew customers had come in. He was awesome and friendly when he finally emerged from the back, asking our orders so that they could be placed on the grill and and got to assembling the other items for our wraps. The boy in front of me got chicken bacon, with tziki and lettuce and tomato and they were happy to oblige. I went with The Works wrap, which is their vegetarian falafel wrap. I debated asking for pickles and banana peppers....but didn't want to turn this into a clone of the wrap I get from East Side pockets...at least not on my first time. My wrap did have to endure my walk back to federal hill, but it was still pleasantly warm when I dug in. Their falafel, oh my. Theirs is probably my favorite around hands down. I'm not sure why, but it was lacking any bitter or sharp tastes that I've encountered elsewhere and while a bit crumbly was not grain/gross in the mouth. I will be back, oh yes I will! read more

Tried this place today on a whim. It was a great find. Nestled within the Providence Arcade, the place is quiet, clean, and uncrowded. I ordered a wrap, which included lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cucumber sauce, falafel, and grilled gyro. It was pretty tasty and the ingredients were fresh. On the menu were a variety of chicken, beef, and vegetarian wraps. There are also salads and a soup of the day which was tomato lentil. The Beef and falafel gyro was very tasty. I do love Gyros, and I've certainly had some more authentic offerings in the past. The bread could be thicker and softer, the meat could be Shawarma style. What a great place in the new redone Arcade Mall. Livi's has traditional Middle Eastern fare like Falafel and Grape Leaves. However they also include American classics like Chicken Clubs and Chicken Caesars in a wrap. They also have some of their own touches on wrap sandwiches. Like The Livingston which is Turkey Breast, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Honey Mustard & Mayonaise. Simple, yet delicious. They have a nice big space on the end of the Arcade, and just like the rest of the shops within the Mall, very inviting. My go to lunch spot downtown. They are crazy fast (I'm in and out in less than 5 min) but their efficiency doesn't reflect in their quality whatsoever. Everything is super fresh. Marinated chicken fresh off the grill, falafel fresh out of the fryer. The chicken is tender and juicy, the falafel is crispy but not too dry and crumbly, al the veggies are crisp and fresh. My go to is the chicken and falafel wrap (with hummus, tabouoli, tahini, lettuce and tomato) but I've had the lentil soup to and that was delicious also. Reasonably priced too. Delicious and quick! It's nice how my falafel came directly off the grill, nice and hot, yet I waited about 45 seconds. I love how efficiently they worked. The thing is, though, they don't sacrifice quality at all. My falafel was flavored well, my greens were fresh, just everything was so good. Just a quick note to mention they've opened "livi's burritos" in the store across the hall. That's where livi's gourmet used to be, which I liked a lot. Unfortunately the burritos they do are mediocre -- as you would expect from a middle eastern place serving up tex-mex. the flank steak is thin-shaved, like cheesesteak meat, and was dry and flavorless. It should be chunky nuggets of steak with a wee bit of pink on the inside. Even Chipotle knows that. One other thing I have to mention that both stores do that annoy me to no end: the checkout screen that prompts for a tip on each transaction. So if I don't give another dollar to the person behind the counter they immediately know it and I look like a cheapskate. But since when did tipping quick-serve lunch places become a thing? The place is family-run so all the tips are going to the same place anyway. It feels like extortion. I hate it. read more

I had been a lunchtime regular and fan until this happened...I ordered my typical: 5 grape leaves and a side of tzatziki sauce. From the start, something seemed off. The server seemed to be inspecting the grape leaves before placing them in my to-go container as if she were deciding whether they were edible or not. Unfortunately, I discovered that not only were they inedible (they were rock hard), but the outside was moldy to boot! I even showed my co-workers who were disgusted. Now, annoyed and hangry, I took them back, expecting a major apology, a refund, and something else "on the house." After telling the server about my rotten food, I barely got an apology, no offering of something else, and the cashier just gave me a $5 bill with a soft-spoken "sorry." Fact is that it had originally cost me $5.60 and I gave her a $1 tip on top of that! Unacceptable. I will never go back to Livi's. Had they done right by me and apologized for my rotten food I would have definitely given them a second chance. All set. read more

The food is really good, the staff is really nice, and they are very fast and efficient. My only gripe is the way they wrap their wraps--they use parchment lines foil and parchment, and they cut it in half. It makes it very difficult to eat without wearing half of it down your shirt. I have legitimately ruined like three ties here because I am evidently incapable of getting the food into my face. This is the only wrap that gives me this problem. Other places, like East Side Pockets, use just foil and don't cut the wrap in half, and that's a much better method. These things are always kind of messy, but Livi's takes messy to a whole new level. But again, the food is very tasty--just wear a bib or a hazmat suit while you eat it. read more

Should be 5 Stars, but ... The options are very good, and the ingredients fresh. No other pocket/wrap options downtown. So, the line can be long but moves quickly. Areas for improvement. The bread falls apart. They use a lavash type of wrap that disintegrates upon adding anything moist, such as the ingredients. It is a mess. Should use the same wrap used at East Side Pockets on Thayer Street, and they should offer a pita. They charge extra for items like feta or olives. Not appreciated. While, at the same time, they solicit a 15%, 20%, or 25% "tip" upon check out. read more

What a gem inside the Arcade! I went to Livi's for the first time yesterday and the food was fast, fresh and delicious. I ordered the chicken cesar wrap which was one of the best I've ever had and it was only $7.99. My hubby ordered the chicken falafel wrap which was also amazing and we split a side of hand cut fries. The employees were patient and answered any/all of my questions. This lunch spot is definitely worth going to! Fresh ingredients with a verity of choices.
