He got a large paper cup and one small scoop of mango water ice. Service is hap hazard and slow. Every visit was an effort for their staff. And we tip. Only went one more time this year. Always drive by this place so I had to stop by for a quick dessert and review. Plenty of parking but it does get very busy during the summer. Just a few picnic tables so you'll probably have to sit in your car most evenings. Offers over 24 different soft serve flavors so they are definitely not lacking in choices! Also have some special items on the menu such as banana splits and candy bar related concoctions. Ordered a strawberry soft serve and an amaretto soft serve. Not friendly. Ice cream very bland . Asked for thick chocolate shake. It came . It came right through the straw like chocolate milk. Cheap choice milk. Not a real chocolate flavor. . Very disappointed . I usually go to main event in Pleasantville. But I live in May's Landing so closer gave it a try. Never again. Once you have main event ( the best ) you cannot go back. Great local custard shop! Literally a 5 minute drive from where I live but this is my first time here. They have a huge variety of flavors to choose from and it seems like they make their ice cream with real fruit I thoroughly enjoyed the staff and the atmosphere exudes from all the local families and kids that live in the area. We ended up at Lloyd's mostly because they the other place doesn't take cards. We were delighted to find the large selection of soft serve flavors! We got a regular sundae with hard ice cream, a peanut butter soft serve with peanut butter sauce and sprinkles, and a large sundae. All were delicious. The first thing that attracted us to Lloyds was the fact that they are one of the few ice cream places that actually accept credit cards because I rarely ever carry cash. Luckily, their ice cream is good, too! They have 24 flavors of soft serve, which comes is regular ice cream and fat free, sugar free yogurt. They also have a nice variety of sundaes and toppings to choose from. While I love the ice cream on the boardwalk near by, this is a better alternative to trying to find and pay for parking if all you want is ice cream. I've always loved their ice-cream and ice cream after the beach had become a staple. Recently though, their customer service has declined. On two recent occasions this year my daughter had requested chocolate fudge in her milk shake to no avail. In our recent experience (today), the girl who served us was so busy discussing her TV shows, she used the same cup without washing it to make our 3 differently flavors milkshakes, messed them up, and mine at the end, tasted awful. My experience with them had always been great in the past years, but with this last one, the A-OK is only for the actual product, their soft serve, which is delicious. Very small serving size and over priced!! A small soft serve cone is the size of a tiny kiddie cone serving at other places. When we questioned the size that we were given, the worker told us "well that's the way we make them". She was rude.
