AWFUL. The absolute worst place we've been in Europe so far. Made a reservation despite the polite recommendation from our hotel to dine elsewhere - really wish we would've taken their advice and not Yelp's now. Things started off fine - the caprese pizza and octopus salad were both very good, but things went downhill from there. When we got the risotto with mushrooms and scampi, my husband and I were surprised at how bad it was. Bland risotto done too fast, tasteless mushrooms without any seasoning or care, and mealy disgusting over cooked shrimp. We ate maybe three bites, yet had to wait nearly an hour for someone to finally come over and retrieve the mess of a dish. When the waiter finally came back, I told him the risotto was not good. He slammed the plate back down on the table and said "this is our specialty, lady! Italians eat this all the time, it is perfect." Needless to say, this was a pretty awful response. I flagged down what seemed to be one of the owners in a skintight glitter minidress and explained to her that while it's fine the kitchen made a mistake, the waiter was beyond rude trying to patronize us by saying the awful dish was excellent. She was cold, went through a very condescending fake apology, then let the terrible waiter stand there and argue with us at the table while she stood on. My husband runs restaurants in NYC, and would never, ever, let an employee speak to a customer in such a manner, much less stand there idiotically while it happened. The man who appeared to be the glitter dress woman's father came and stood at the table not saying anything at one point, making an uncomfortable situation even worse. Even though it was clear we had no interest in staying, it took at least another 20 minutes to get the check. This really put a damper on what should've been a beautiful evening in Capri, and hence I would never consider returning and would warn any potential customers to go elsewhere if they prefer being treated with basic decency and are in search of food above the grade of what you'd feed a dog. read more
