There wasn't a wait this Sunday morning always a good thing we just like to beat the crowd, upon leaving the place was packed I love their French Toast with fresh slices strawberries and banana slices, topped with a nice spoonful of whip cream. The pieces were nicely made without to much egg, I hate that. My partner loves their crepes with lingonberries. He says they are delicious and Loaded is the only place that does them right Ramon was our server. He was pleasant and got our order right the first time. I hesitated on writing this review, but every establishment deserves a fair review. There was a wait, the place was almost to capacity, I was excited to eat here. The pics online look great, however, my steak and eggs had no flavor, the patrons at the table next to me asked for steak sauce to lend some flavor to his order. The pancake was ok, a little tough, but i did like the crispy exterior. My wife's order of Chilaquiles was nothing special and not very tasty. The table was not wiped clean and the interior was run down and dirty. The one plus of my meal was the warm pan dulce, it was very good! The service was not spotty, many times I asked for a coffee refill from multiple servers, I finally got a refill at the end of my meal. This is a hidden gem found in a strip mall in Lawndale. Came in for breakfast and had such a great tasting breakfast with wonderful service. They offer a variety of food with a Mexican twist. We had the horchata ice coffee and it was good, I really didn't get the horchata flavor, but it was not bad tasting coffee. For breakfast we ordered 2 different crepe combos: The combo is serviced with 2 eggs, you choose your way, I had scrambled and they were fluffy and not overly greasy. Hash browns were crispy and not overly salty which I liked. And your choice of sausage or bacon, I chose bacon and felt it could have been crispier. The crepes were very good, super thin and fluffy and topped with good amount of fruit. The whipped cream they use, though was too sweet for me, tasted like cake frosting. Ambience is casual and much better than an iHop or Denny's. We also received some complimentary mini conchas to have with our coffee while our came out. I'll be back next time I'm in town. read more

We had just left our appointment to do our interviews for a Global Entry pass near LAX, but needed some breakfast before heading back home to south Orange County. This was the #1 recommendation near us, so we decided to give it a shot. I am happy to give a positive review, as I feel my last few reviews have all been negative ones. Loaded Café was definitely an unexpected gem! It looked like a simple strip-mall restaurant from the outside, but we found the interior to be well-decorated and welcoming. We were sat quickly, and looked over a menu full of goodies. They had what we were in the mood for (eggs, hash browns, bacon, and toast), but we were enticed by the myriad of options. Breakfast appeared to be the most abundant choice, but they also had some Mexican staples (chilaquiles, chicken enchiladas, birria, ...). They brought out some delicious Mexican sweet bread to have with our coffee while we waited for our food. My wife ordered a marzipan crepe (marzipan!) combo with two eggs and link sausage on the side. The crepes were delicious, but very sweet (it's marzipan, we should expect that). She ordered the eggs over-medium, and they were cooked perfectly. Also, the sausage was tender and juicy. I ordered the crunchy asada chilaquiles, which came with scrambled eggs and hash browns. OMG... I hadn't had some good, authentic chilaquiles in a long time. I ordered mine with the spicy red sauce (salsa roja picante), and the flavor was excellent. I even put some of their habañero hot sauce on for some extra heat (¡pica mucho!). I devoured everything on my plate with no problem and left the place full, but very happy! The service was a little slow; however, if you have ever eaten in a restaurant in México, you will note that the focus is not on expediency, but on a family-friendly vibe that promotes conversation.
