Pancakes were bland! Food was nothing special. One of those places that were just all hype, and did NOT live up to the expectations. I was VERY appalled though that I ordered a slice of chocolate cake to go for $4.99. Literally the smallest slice ever. I'm talking less than half the size of a cheesecake factory slice or even an individual square of cake you can get at a Mexican grocery store like Northgate or El Super. I thought, whatever, maybe the taste will make up for it. Boy was I WRONG! Nastiest driest cake I have ever had in my life!! I took one bite, spit it out, and threw the rest away! It was stale, like when it's been in the refrigerator a couple days at least, very old and dry! Shame on this establishment for serving someone something like that!! I enjoy this place, and have been doing so since it opened. The dine in experience. I tried to enjoy the last two experiences, however, after reviewing my bank account, I don't think I will be going back. There was a double charge on my account. I don't know if it was of financial necessity from the employee, or if it was some sort of mistake, but there was a receipt amount and another purchase of another amount that I do not recall. I communicate this so people can be aware. If you know how much the city is changing, the food prices... it's a tight budget and the amount on the other charge could be a setback. I would like for them to put a store added tip-charge notice, so for people who can't tip as they would like to, can go dine elsewhere. Shout out to Josh, the cook! The food has been amazing. Great cooking staff-- disappointed in the post dinning experience from the servers. So maybe take out, maybe this place is good take out. read more

This is our 2nd visit here and both times we got Ramon. The chilaquiles were so good I had to order them again. I got the green and my dad got the red spicy. The carne asada is tasty. I love that they have warm conchas. The coffee and iced coffee are really good too. Ramon's is very kind, welcoming, great service and quick! read more

We originally planned to go somewhere else but they were crowded, so looked for somewhere new to try. The reviews on Yelp showed good, so we tried for the first time... turned out really regretful. First of all, everything was overpriced for the quality. Not only they charge high prices, but also listed prices were "cash" price. We had steak & egg, beef crispy chilaquiles and coffee, but beef quality was the worst! The food was all too salty. The ambiance was ok, there were many people waiting in line on Saturday morning. Yadira is amazing and took such great care of us. Loaded cafe opens at 7am and has plenty of parking. The menu is amazing, with lots to choose from. They have plenty of seating. I wish I can come here sooner. I'm hooked on this strawberry crunch pancakes. My waitress was perfect in every way, she even brought me over a homemade concha on the house. What a nice little placed tucked away in Lawndale! Lots of tempting options on the menu, whether you're in for a classic American breakfast or you want something more traditionally Latino! We were served two delicious pan dulces with our coffee before we placed our order. Had the Nopales from the value menu and it took me back to my childhood, sitting at our neighbor's kitchen table while my friends' mom worked her Mexican magic. The salsa verde has a bit of a kick, be prepared! I came here with a work friend to do some planning, and they do have free wifi and nice booths for huddling over laptops. Food was good. Menudo would be my favorite and the chilaquiles with carne asada. Our food got served a bit later after another family who got seated after us did. Not sure if it's because of 2 different servers or the type of food that was ordered. The Hispanic guy manager was very pleasant. I think it was nice that he was greeting and involved. The place is big and gets busy if you get there later. But definitely they make their food fresh especially the bread. They also had a juice sampler smaller portion which was good. The service was okay. The wait time was long. The food doesn't have good flavor. For the long wait, I expected something more and did not meet my expectations. Food is a little pricey as well & was disappointed that the food didn't taste good. Very diverse customer ambience. First time coming here and definitely my last time as well. There's also a sign in the front store that says if you leave a 5 star yelp review you get a FREE crepe. I think that's where all the 5 star reviews come from.
