My family and I enjoy having breakfast at Loaded Cafe. However, recently I had a takeout order for Menudo and the order was incorrect. There wasn't a wait this Sunday morning always a good thing we just like to beat the crowd, upon leaving the place was packed I love their French Toast with fresh slices strawberries and banana slices, topped with a nice spoonful of whip cream. The pieces were nicely made without to much egg, I hate that. My partner loves their crepes with lingonberries. He says they are delicious and Loaded is the only place that does them right Ramon was our server. He was pleasant and got our order right the first time. He was friendly and I we sat in his his area a few Months ago too. He checked in on us and we were pleased with his service. Okay food but incredibly inefficent service. We went as a group of about 8 for a business lunch. 10 minute wait to be seated then an hour for everyone in our group to be served. They are woefully understaffed which may not be unusual nowdays. Apparently popular just don't visit with any expectation of a quick lunch. read more

I hesitated on writing this review, but every establishment deserves a fair review. There was a wait, the place was almost to capacity, I was excited to eat here. The pics online look great, however, my steak and eggs had no flavor, the patrons at the table next to me asked for steak sauce to lend some flavor to his order. The pancake was ok, a little tough, but i did like the crispy exterior. My wife's order of Chilaquiles was nothing special and not very tasty. The table was not wiped clean and the interior was run down and dirty. The one plus of my meal was the warm pan dulce, it was very good! The service was not spotty, many times I asked for a coffee refill from multiple servers, I finally got a refill at the end of my meal. I will not be coming back to try other dishes or see if my visit was just a bad day for them. read more

Food was really good. Had great flavor. My partner had the menu do and he loved it, even if it was a little spicy. Ramon was a decent server. My only thing was the side of bacon I ordered. For 4 bucks I was expecting at least 4 slices, instead I got 2 pieces, but they were little. Like if you'd taken a regular strip of bacon and cut it in half. Don't get me wrong the bacon was cooked perfectly, but I was just expecting more. Considering you can get a packet of bacon for like 6 bucks, and it looked like they took one slice and cut it half, its quite a bit of upcharge. It was a little loud, but its a family restaurant, its not gonna be quiet, but you can still have conversations. The panecito they give you at the beginning was really good. The conchas were warm and had a good taste. The jamaica was so good. Very sweet. But thats how I like it. If you dont like it sweet, it might be too much for you. read more

This is a hidden gem found in a strip mall in Lawndale. Came in for breakfast and had such a great tasting breakfast with wonderful service. They offer a variety of food with a Mexican twist. We had the horchata ice coffee and it was good, I really didn't get the horchata flavor, but it was not bad tasting coffee. For breakfast we ordered 2 different crepe combos: The combo is serviced with 2 eggs, you choose your way, I had scrambled and they were fluffy and not overly greasy. Hash browns were crispy and not overly salty which I liked. And your choice of sausage or bacon, I chose bacon and felt it could have been crispier. The crepes were very good, super thin and fluffy and topped with good amount of fruit. The whipped cream they use, though was too sweet for me, tasted like cake frosting. Ambience is casual and much better than an iHop or Denny's. We also received some complimentary mini conchas to have with our coffee while our came out. I'll be back next time I'm in town. read more

Just okay for us. Don't get me wrong, this is a nice, clean restaurant but I think the menu and cooks cater to those wanting Mexican food - which is not a bad thing. I went in for breakfast and ordered a non-Mexican food breakfast. It was okay. I lived in Oklahoma and Texas for times in my life. I have had a lot of chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak in that time. The gravy in OK and TX is much different than the one they serve here. The color is about the same but the taste is not. This one has a sweetness to it that takes away from what breakfast gravy is supposed to taste like - at least to me. The eggs over easy where cooked correctly but I was surprised at their small size. The hashbrowns were also cooked correctly and were tasty. This order also comes with two very good sized pancakes and they were very good. They only have one flavor of syrup so no IHOP choices. That's okay as the syrup was good. I'd suggest going in when you are in the mood for some Mexican style breakfast or lunch. Friendly service, clean place, lots of choices. Enjoy! read more
