We've been coming here since they opened and it keeps getting better and better. They keep adding more delicious entries and the cafecito and pan dulce is yummy. If you wanna save some money look at their weekday favorites and also bring cash. If you don't have cash don't worry they also take tap to pay and cards

I just had a quick bite at the Bellflower location after a long morning waiting on my vehicle getting serviced and repaired. I been wanting to try Loaded Cafe for a while so this quick visit / review will not do any justice to the great reputation! The exterior I thought was very plain and dated. The interior decor was not as colorful as I had expected. My server was friendly and helpful. I had ordered a simple meal of plain crepes, sausage & sunny side eggs ($12.99). The crepes were delicious and I've made a note to come back to try the other more creative crepe offers in the future.

I honestly hate having to write this review, but I would hate it even more if someone else had the same experience I did. I ordered the Crunchy Asada Chilaquiles, which are advertised as one of their best sellers. When the dish arrived, the chilaquiles did not look appetizing at all, but I tried not to judge based on appearance alone. Unfortunately, the taste matched the presentation. I'm a huge chilaquiles fan and try them everywhere I can, and sadly these were the worst I've had. The ingredients just didn't work well, and the flavors were unpleasant enough that I couldn't finish the meal. I also ordered a Mazapan Latte and I couldn't finish that either. The latte tased like straight milk with creamer, no hint of Mazapan. What made the experience even more disappointing was something that happened during our visit. I dined here on January 7, just a few days after Día de los Reyes. When we walked in, I noticed every table had a rosca de reyes, which I love. I assumed it was either something you could order or perhaps a complimentary item. Our table was given a small basket of mini pan dulce, so I thought maybe that had replaced the rosca for the day. However, shortly after we sat down, another table was seated and they were served a rosca. I asked them if they had ordered it or if it was complimentary, and they told me it was complimentary. At that point I realized our table had not been offered the same thing. I want to be clear that I can't say with certainty why this happened, but it left me feeling uncomfortable and wondering if assumptions were made about our table. I'm a light-complexioned Mexican dining with a Caucasian friend, and it felt strange that we were the only table not offered the same specialty item during a cultural holiday. WE WERE BEING DISCRIMINATED! How is it that us, the only table with Caucasian-presenting appearance were the only table that were given mini pan Dulce (the regular complimentary appetizer) instead of the specialty Rosca De Reyes all the other tables with Hispanic-appearing-guests were served. That does not sit right with me. DO NOT MAKE ASSUMPTIONS BASED ON APPEARANCES. I may seem Caucasian but I am 100% Mexican and I love Rosca De Reyes, and wanted my friend to try a Rosca, so I asked another server (ours was on break) if we too could have a Rosca and he brought one out to us. Because of the food and this experience, I don't see myself returning. I will say, however, that the bakery located in the back of the restaurant is cute and offers pastries that looked quite tasty.

Came in to Loaded Café for a late breakfast with my daughter. This location splits its facility with Panecito, a Mexican bakery, which is located towards the back. Loaded itself only has inside seating with a modest amount of booths and booth/table combos. Staffing seemed to be minimal, but everyone was friendly and accommodating. They checked on us regularly to ask how the food was and to provide refills on our drinks. My daughter ordered the crunchy asada chilaquiles and I ordered their strawberry almond cheesecake crepes as a combo (adding eggs, hashbrowns, and sausage). The flavor for the chilaquiles was perfect, but the meat was on the chewy side. The combo portion of my meal was standard and hit the spot. We ended up sharing the crepes, which were a nice, dessert-like finish to our meal. The crepes were perfectly prepared with a decent amount of strawberries, cheesecake drizzle, sliced almonds, and whipped cream. Coke fans be aware, only Pepsi products are served here :(

Mixed review here... the host who welcomed us was so friendly and happy - which, is always appreciated! We were told it would be a 10 minute wait, but we ended up being sat almost immediately after we put our name down. The place itself is kind of muggy and a little warm inside, but it's a classic diner. We were given free bread as an appetizer and needed a couple minutes to look over the menu. We put our order in and got to chatting... Realizing 45 minutes had gone by, we still didn't have food and had drank all of our water, with no server in sight. Our food finally came after our server initially brought out the wrong order. We ordered a scramble and the chilaquiles. The chips and cheese on the chilaquiles were so burnt! It looked like it had been under the heat lamp for quite some time. The veggie scramble was actually very tasty and I was so thankful because of how long it took to get it. I would definitely eat that again however, I probably won't go back to this place just because of how long everything took. Over an hour and a half for a simple breakfast... pass.

And it felt that we were not the patrons they wanted in their restaurant as the table directly next to us came after us and got seated and served in a shorter time then us and service was friendly unlike our table. Food was good. And the cafe and sweets amazing which explains the screaming children I heard throughout my experience the vibe was end of the day at a daycare. Great location, good service, & delicious food. Had to take my kids to have some breakfast in between there basketball games. The kids ordered their pancakes, crepes, & stuffed french toasts. All was delicious. Great spot for family breakfast.

Great service. Got here around 8am on july 4th and was seated right away. The decorations reminded me of dennys. The food did not disappoint with the exception of the complimentary conchas. The conchas were hard, burnt and dry. I feel like these were day old and they just reheated them for us, if you're gonna make something complimentary at least make it well. My hashbrowns were perfect for me, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, hard to find a place that does it right! My eggs were cooked to a perfect medium. Will be back soon to try more.

Needs an early breakfast place and looked on southwest airlines app to see what was around I found this place and it was a treat. My wife ordered Asada Chilaquiles Plate and I had a crepe. Ok I ate half of hers and she ate half of mine. It was delish we both left full and are dying to go back. Great place and a reasonable price. You got to go. So much more to try.

I tried Loaded Cafe after seeing Instagram raves about this being the Mexican Denny's. I found my experience there to be just okay. They serve small sweet conches for their bread basket. The food is flavorful, which was always a plus. The music is at an annoying volume because we were under a speaker, so we ended up moving to another table which was helpful. The service was okay, but the price seemed high for what we got. I think your experience depends greatly on how much you are willing to overspend.

No wait for B fast during the week, but it gets crowded on weekends. Seems to be a younger crowd in the diner"esque" place. While lots of items are $15+ we opted for the weekday special menu. Two nice conchas (baked good) complimentary were a nice touch. Breakfasts are huge, kind of pricey. Pancakes, eggs w bacon was good ($12.99?). Pancakes were fluffy and delicious. Eggs OM were way over cooked, yoke stuck on whites. Bacon just average nothing special. French toast in the value menu was delicious as well. Also a Mexican bakery on site with lots of fresh choices.

They were understaffed and slow service. The booth we sat at was dirty with food on it and got some on my hand when I went to sit down...So Gross! The fork was dirty that my husband received. They didn't come around to give refills on coffee. Me and my husband both ordered green chilaquiles but his with the asada. His asada was cold to the touch. The green sauce was so disgusting looked like a yellow fluorescent color with tiny red and green bell pepper pieces in it. Not any chilaquiles sauce I've ever seen or tasted before, was almost slimy texture. My husband didn't even finish his plate and he always eats everything. The Only thing that was good were the 2 complimentary chonchas of pan dulce. I would never go there again. read more

Don't recommend this cafe at all, me and my wife entered and the host just looked at us and walked away so we sat on the bench for literally 15 minutes, during the time the same host kept going by and cafe was literally empty maybe like 10 people eating so we got up walked away going somewhere else instead. I pass this restaurant almost every day on my daily walk and one day last week I decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did! I was greeted by a smiling server (sorry did not get his name) and was seated right away. He brought me a menu and my piping hot coffee which was a little strong for my liking but with extra creamer it worked. They have an extensive menu from crepes to salads and more. I was looking for breakfast choices and they have some sweet choices to make from a value meal section. I ordered their classic breakfast 2 perfect over medium eggs, perfect crispy hash browns & 2 sausages. For anyone who is looking for a hearty breakfast , they have lots to choose from! 1st time ever going and probably last. Food was below average and lack seasoning. I appreciated the waiters honesty with question which sauce has more flavor red or green and she just laughed and said neither.Prices were decent for "speciality cafe" and most places prices are going up. Order. Free concha pan-there's a reason it's free, there're hard Kids pancake(no fully cooked too mushy) with 1egg and 2 bacon strip Dulce de Leche stuffed French toast combo (under only outer side of toast was heated lightly leaving inside texture mushy) with eggs unseasoned and hash-browns (decent) 2 Chicken enchiladas red with rice and beans (lacked flavor all around would not recommend . rice and beans is general for all restaurant reheats that's ok read more

Large menu that looked interesting. The people in my party liked their food. I wish they had gluten free options. The waiter said they had nothing that was gluten free. I had a berry smoothie. My 3 stars are because our coffee, water, and soda were never refilled. Nobody came by to clear off dishes. Four people were given 4 forks, no knives and two napkins. The waiter didn't come by to see how we were doing until we we wanted to leave. Had to ask the hostess to get the waiter so we could ask dir the check. They seemed to be well staffed, but slow service and nobody was bussing the tables, which made the wait longer than needed. The staff was friendly. read more

I hadn't found a great restaurant until my husband found loaded cafe! This is the spot if you like Conchas! They serve you complimentary Conchas so you can enjoy with your coffee. The food is delicious; the drinks are amazing; they have a great variety of horchata, marzapan etc, lattes or just by the pitcher of horchata and others too. The place is great the food is bomb and the service is awesome. They have a mix of Mexican food plus they also have American food as well. Can't recommend this place enough read more

Highlights: Horrible service Overpriced sub-par food We had two free kids meal vouchers and wanted to give this place a try as a family. Overall, unlikely to return due to bad service and sub-par food for the price. The service: Brought my family over to dine in for breakfast. Wife asked server for kids coloring/activity paper mat and our server forgot. Had to grab it from the front ourselves. Server needs to recognize this is a given for kids. I asked for a knife when my meal came. The server didn't return with knife and never came back to check on us. When paid in cash the server didn't give us the remaining cents owed back, only the dollar bills rounded in their favor. To go boxes were provided on request but server wasn't courteous to provide a bag to carry out. The food: chilaquiles omelette: chilaquiles itself tasted good. Was nice and hot but chips could've been crispier. Steak tasted like marinated with A1 sauce...Tasted ok but not really expected... and caramelized onions were not caramelized, still on the raw side. Veggie plate omelette: broccoli was not trimmed and had black ends...not visually appetizing. Kids strawberry cheesecake combo: amount of scrambled egg(s) was sparse. Must be using smaller size eggs? I have never seen such a meager portion of scrambled eggs even for kids. Pancake looked fluffy and big so I'll give them that. Section of the table had syrup residue hardened from what looked like a rushed attempt to wet wipe the table. Miscellaneous: No baby changing table in restroom. Dining area we were placed barely had space for our stroller in the aisle but was awkward because servers had to squeeze by the stroller to reach other tables. Price was $42.38 for two meals cash, we had vouchers for free kids meal. Way overpriced since I can get more value for same price elsewhere. I get that this is american/mexican diner quality food, so I didn't have high expectations but the experience was sorely underwhelming. A lot of basic expectations were broken here and needs to be fixed in the future. Otherwise, unlikely for our family to return. read more

Place had a lot of sitting. Waitress was nice. We got two concha's which were tasty and warm. Food was okay nothing special. Rather dull on flavor which for me is saying a lot since I thing things are salty or sweet. It seems they try to do combine American and Mexican breakfast styles in one. Tried the Asada Chilaquiles Plate and the Horchata Latte. The Asada Chilaquiles were good but the green sauce was a bit on the spicy side, as advertised. It was tasty, as was the Horchata Latte. Came here for breakfast/lunch. My buddy and I stood at the front counter for about 10 minutes waiting to be seated. Several employees walked past us several times without even acknowledging us. The funny thing is they looked straight at us without even a simple "good morning" or even "I'm sorry, we'll be right with you." We were finally approached by a lady in black and we told her we've been waiting for about 10 minutes. She said, "I'm sorry but we're cleaning tables right now" and then just walked away. Waited a couple more minutes and then just left. Horrible customer service. read more

After finally waiting another 10 minutes to receive our water, we had to track down our server again just to place our food order because no one returned to check on us. By that point, we had been sitting long enough and were more than ready to order. To make matters worse, we ordered an appetizer of coconut shrimp about five minutes after placing our entrée order, but it never arrived. After we had already finished our meals, we asked to cancel it, only to be told that our server had never entered the order in the first place. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the poor service. It lacked flavor and was very underwhelming. This experience was frustrating enough that I cannot recommend Reunion Kitchen. I initially wanted to believe this was simply an off day or an inexperienced server, but after hearing from two other people I know who described nearly identical experiences, it seems this may be a recurring issue. One thing that left me especially uncomfortable was seeing guests who arrived well after us receive prompt attention while our table was repeatedly overlooked. I can't say why that happened, but it certainly made us question whether we were being treated differently. I sincerely hope the restaurant looks into its service standards and ensures every guest is treated with the same level of respect and attention.

From the moment we arrived, Olivia's hospitality set the tone for an exceptional evening. She greeted us with a warm smile, made us feel genuinely welcome, and promptly seated us. Shortly after, our server, Layla, introduced herself. Despite the late hour, she was energetic, engaging, and had an infectious enthusiasm that elevated the entire dining experience. She expertly recommended several cocktails, along with a glass of wine, and her knowledge of both the bar program and the menu was impressive. Her recommendations for appetizers and entrées were spot on. We decided on the Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket, BBQ Nachos, and the Spicy Rigatoni. Every dish was beautifully prepared, flavorful, and exceeded our expectations. Another team member, Emanuel, delivered one of our dishes and was equally personable and engaging. He took the time to share information about the restaurant, further demonstrating the outstanding level of hospitality displayed by the entire team. Manager Dave also stopped by our table to check on our experience. We shared with him that this was, without question, one of the best dining experiences we've had in Orange County in quite some time. Great food certainly matters, but it was the exceptional service, genuine hospitality, and positive energy of the staff that made the evening truly memorable. A sincere thank you to Layla, Olivia, Emanuel, Dave, and the entire Culinary Dropout team for creating such a first-class dining experience. Ambience on the inside as well as the outside are both pretty great. I've also never had a bad meal here, virtually all of their food is spectacular and made from scratch although their prices are not "cheap" they are also very fair, especially given the quality of food. The drinks are also dead on, they have a wide range of craft beer as well as a full bar. The service is great. The only thing I could think of the lands in the constructive arena is their live music. Sometimes they have open mic nights, other times they have a hired band or musician. The music is way, wayyy too loud. I don't mind live music, but it can't be so loud that you are unable to enjoy the company. Patrons should be able to talk to the person or the people next to them without being drowned out by the music. I recently came with friends for drinks and we were having a great time for the first 10 minutes we were there, but when the music started, we couldn't hear each other talk at all. So we just sat there quietly, drowned out to mediocre music. We all had another drink and then left. Might be a better idea to have the music loud enough to be slightly above background noise, but low enough where you can reasonably talk and listen to those around. Even ordering at the bar was tough. We would yell an order at the bartender, who would yell at back for confirmation. Often, exchanges in this dialogue included "what was that?"

However, my review is based on the prices and food quality. I ordered the birria tacos, which unfortunately did not meet my expectations. The meat contained excessive fat and had an unusual taste, suggesting the use of low-quality meat. Additionally, I ordered a cheeseburger with fries, but the meat was not cooked to my desired level of doneness. I also found the onion ring burger to lack flavor. Our total bill came out to be $70 for three meals, two orange juices, and one lemonade. Notably, the complimentary conchitas served before our meal arrived were the highlight of our dining experience. Given the prices, I expected a higher standard of food quality. Every dish I've tried has arrived at the table cold, even though the plate itself is hot. This suggests a delay between when the food is ready and when it's served, which is simply unacceptable. I decided to give Loaded Cafe a try on two separate occasions, and unfortunately, both visits were far from pleasant. On the second visit, we ordered the red and green chilaquiles, but they were, to put it mildly, a mess. The flavors were off, and the presentation felt careless. The service didn't help either. Our server Jose P. seemed to be in a rush, barely acknowledging us, and it took ages for our coffee to arrive. To add to the frustration, it appeared they selectively decide who gets the complimentary sweet bread basket, something we didn't receive despite seeing other tables with it. After two tries, I'm not interested in coming back. There are far better breakfast options in the area. read more
