We've been coming here since they opened and it keeps getting better and better. They keep adding more delicious entries and the cafecito and pan dulce is yummy. If you wanna save some money look at their weekday favorites and also bring cash. If you don't have cash don't worry they also take tap to pay and cards

I just had a quick bite at the Bellflower location after a long morning waiting on my vehicle getting serviced and repaired. I been wanting to try Loaded Cafe for a while so this quick visit / review will not do any justice to the great reputation! The exterior I thought was very plain and dated. The interior decor was not as colorful as I had expected. My server was friendly and helpful. I had ordered a simple meal of plain crepes, sausage & sunny side eggs ($12.99). The crepes were delicious and I've made a note to come back to try the other more creative crepe offers in the future.

You have to treat everyone equally. I've been there twice, and that was my last time--I felt discriminated against. it is what it is.

I honestly hate having to write this review, but I would hate it even more if someone else had the same experience I did. I ordered the Crunchy Asada Chilaquiles, which are advertised as one of their best sellers. When the dish arrived, the chilaquiles did not look appetizing at all, but I tried not to judge based on appearance alone. Unfortunately, the taste matched the presentation. I'm a huge chilaquiles fan and try them everywhere I can, and sadly these were the worst I've had. The ingredients just didn't work well, and the flavors were unpleasant enough that I couldn't finish the meal. I also ordered a Mazapan Latte and I couldn't finish that either. The latte tased like straight milk with creamer, no hint of Mazapan. What made the experience even more disappointing was something that happened during our visit. I dined here on January 7, just a few days after Día de los Reyes. When we walked in, I noticed every table had a rosca de reyes, which I love. I assumed it was either something you could order or perhaps a complimentary item. Our table was given a small basket of mini pan dulce, so I thought maybe that had replaced the rosca for the day. However, shortly after we sat down, another table was seated and they were served a rosca. I asked them if they had ordered it or if it was complimentary, and they told me it was complimentary. At that point I realized our table had not been offered the same thing. I want to be clear that I can't say with certainty why this happened, but it left me feeling uncomfortable and wondering if assumptions were made about our table. I'm a light-complexioned Mexican dining with a Caucasian friend, and it felt strange that we were the only table not offered the same specialty item during a cultural holiday. WE WERE BEING DISCRIMINATED! How is it that us, the only table with Caucasian-presenting appearance were the only table that were given mini pan Dulce (the regular complimentary appetizer) instead of the specialty Rosca De Reyes all the other tables with Hispanic-appearing-guests were served. That does not sit right with me. DO NOT MAKE ASSUMPTIONS BASED ON APPEARANCES. I may seem Caucasian but I am 100% Mexican and I love Rosca De Reyes, and wanted my friend to try a Rosca, so I asked another server (ours was on break) if we too could have a Rosca and he brought one out to us. Because of the food and this experience, I don't see myself returning. I will say, however, that the bakery located in the back of the restaurant is cute and offers pastries that looked quite tasty.

Came in to Loaded Café for a late breakfast with my daughter. This location splits its facility with Panecito, a Mexican bakery, which is located towards the back. Loaded itself only has inside seating with a modest amount of booths and booth/table combos. Staffing seemed to be minimal, but everyone was friendly and accommodating. They checked on us regularly to ask how the food was and to provide refills on our drinks. My daughter ordered the crunchy asada chilaquiles and I ordered their strawberry almond cheesecake crepes as a combo (adding eggs, hashbrowns, and sausage). The flavor for the chilaquiles was perfect, but the meat was on the chewy side. The combo portion of my meal was standard and hit the spot. We ended up sharing the crepes, which were a nice, dessert-like finish to our meal. The crepes were perfectly prepared with a decent amount of strawberries, cheesecake drizzle, sliced almonds, and whipped cream. Coke fans be aware, only Pepsi products are served here :(

Mixed review here... the host who welcomed us was so friendly and happy - which, is always appreciated! We were told it would be a 10 minute wait, but we ended up being sat almost immediately after we put our name down. The place itself is kind of muggy and a little warm inside, but it's a classic diner. We were given free bread as an appetizer and needed a couple minutes to look over the menu. We put our order in and got to chatting... Realizing 45 minutes had gone by, we still didn't have food and had drank all of our water, with no server in sight. Our food finally came after our server initially brought out the wrong order. We ordered a scramble and the chilaquiles. The chips and cheese on the chilaquiles were so burnt! It looked like it had been under the heat lamp for quite some time. The veggie scramble was actually very tasty and I was so thankful because of how long it took to get it. I would definitely eat that again however, I probably won't go back to this place just because of how long everything took. Over an hour and a half for a simple breakfast... pass.

The food was good service was horrible. And it felt that we were not the patrons they wanted in their restaurant as the table directly next to us came after us and got seated and served in a shorter time then us and service was friendly unlike our table. Food was good. And the cafe and sweets amazing which explains the screaming children I heard throughout my experience the vibe was end of the day at a daycare. I loved the matcha and wanted to try more of the baked goods...buuuuut not sure they want me or my family or people who share my phenotype there so there's that...

Great location, good service, & delicious food. Had to take my kids to have some breakfast in between there basketball games. The kids ordered their pancakes, crepes, & stuffed french toasts. All was delicious. Great spot for family breakfast.

Great service. Got here around 8am on july 4th and was seated right away. The decorations reminded me of dennys. The food did not disappoint with the exception of the complimentary conchas. The conchas were hard, burnt and dry. I feel like these were day old and they just reheated them for us, if you're gonna make something complimentary at least make it well. My hashbrowns were perfect for me, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, hard to find a place that does it right! My eggs were cooked to a perfect medium. Will be back soon to try more.

Needs an early breakfast place and looked on southwest airlines app to see what was around I found this place and it was a treat. My wife ordered Asada Chilaquiles Plate and I had a crepe. Ok I ate half of hers and she ate half of mine. It was delish we both left full and are dying to go back. Great place and a reasonable price. You got to go. So much more to try.

I tried Loaded Cafe after seeing Instagram raves about this being the Mexican Denny's. I found my experience there to be just okay. They serve small sweet conches for their bread basket. The food is flavorful, which was always a plus. The music is at an annoying volume because we were under a speaker, so we ended up moving to another table which was helpful. The service was okay, but the price seemed high for what we got. I think your experience depends greatly on how much you are willing to overspend.

No wait for B fast during the week, but it gets crowded on weekends. Seems to be a younger crowd in the diner"esque" place. While lots of items are $15+ we opted for the weekday special menu. Two nice conchas (baked good) complimentary were a nice touch. Breakfasts are huge, kind of pricey. Pancakes, eggs w bacon was good ($12.99?). Pancakes were fluffy and delicious. Eggs OM were way over cooked, yoke stuck on whites. Bacon just average nothing special. French toast in the value menu was delicious as well. Also a Mexican bakery on site with lots of fresh choices.

You know that feeling when you walk in a restaurant skeptical but turns out to be the best decision you could've made and makes your entire day!!! Yeah, this is how I feel right now after my first time @Loaded Cafe. My dtrs and I pulled up to the parking lot and questioned ourselves "does this place look like it's going to be good?" From the outside looks very boring and below average, but who knew it holds a treasure inside. As soon as you walk in the experience begins. Cute little cakes displayed, sure to get your mouth watering. As soon as you're seated your server greets you with conchas (sweet bread). We tried 5 different plates on their menu and none disappointed!!!!! Their Pambazo is finger liking good. It's spicy but not too spicy, just enough to awaken your taste buds. And to top it all off.. first timers get to take home one of those cute little cakes at the front. DO NOT LEAVE without trying their Hibiscus Strawberry Agua Fresca. It's a little sweet, just add a little more water and uuuuhhh so so good!! I wish I could keep this place a secret for my girls and I but it's so good not to be shared with others read more

First time here since it's convenient and local. Tried the Honey Lemon Crepes, side of hash browns and Machaca Breakfast Burrito. Our favorite was the crepes, they were crispy and soft in the center. Hash browns were solid. The burrito was fine, nothing to praise or complain about, but I think there's better items on the menu. Services was fast and friendly. Staff is attentive and accommodating. We would come back here to try their other crepes and pancakes. read more

Always wanted to come here. The service was great but the food was sssooo overpriced for what it is. Spent about $100 with tip for 2 people. Would not recommend and you can go elsewhere and spend the same $100 for better quality food and probably get an alcoholic beverage with brunch. read more

Loaded Cafe just opened here in Placentia! It took over the former IHOP, located at Chapman and Kraemer. The menu is extensive and parking is available in a large lot. I selected the Nopales and Eggs, with flour tortillas and a side of sour cream. The items were hot, delicious, and plentiful. I wish them the best of luck here in the city I call home. The ribbon cutting is set for 10:00 AM today, through the Chamber of Commerce. read more

Came here for breakfast with my boyfriend to try something new. Their menu had a variety of Mexican inspired breakfast favorites along with most of the classic breakfast combos. It was a clean atmosphere and the free concha's prior to ordering were delicious! He ordered the classic breakfast burrito and I got the Chilaquiles. For a restaurant with the name "Loaded cafe" their portions were anything BUT loaded. I wish I would have taken a photo but his $16.99 burrito was smaller than a Del taco Epic burrito and NOT very loaded. My Chilaquiles were $22 came with hash browns but the hash browns took up most of the plate. The portion of chilaquiles was only about 1/3. We only got waters and no extra breakfast sides. However, my boyfriend asked for a side of sour cream which we got charged extra for without our knowledge and I asked if the steak in my chilaquiles could be substituted for beans and got charged and extra 2.99. With that being said paying almost $50 for this meal seemed so far fetched it had us flabbergasted. Knowing that there were other diners that had the same meal for a better price and MUCH better portions had us regretting our decision to try something new. On top of that our server wasn't very friendly or welcoming nor did she explain the extra charges. If you're a fan of breakfast and love those diner type portions I would be cautious spending your money here. If you don't care much about price or portion and want a fusion breakfast then you might enjoy what they have to offer. read more

This place is A little Small but has a great kick to it! So it makes up for it! I love going to places for their sweet breakfasts, usually anything that has Nutella or chocolate. I took a look at their menu and their lunch menu looked great as well. Although I came here to try the concha Nutella French toast I ended up getting their omelet chilaquiles plate with carne asada! Check out the plate. Looks pretty, tasted a lot better. So I'd like to say I am a chicken when it comes to spicy food. I skipped the part that they were red chilaquiles which normally are spicier than the green, well I had to suck it up and eat them anyway. They were pretty hot but nothing I couldn't handle. I was still a decent magician and made them disappear! So we were here to celebrate my friend's birthday. She ordered the crepes and those were delicious. My son ordered the appetizer plate and he loved it! Now for the surprise birthday treat the ladies there surrounded our table and sang happy birthday to my friend and brought their Famous concha Nutella French toast! Although I had passed on them for lunch I still got to taste them as we shared the birthday dessert and guess what, they didn't disappoint one bit! I WILL DEFINITELY BE COMING HERE ON OUR WAY TO THE BEACH! Ps. I almost forgot they bring you mini Conchita while you look at the menu and they're warm like they just came out the oven! Yum! I have attempted to order in uber eats on 4 different times. Each time, after 20-30 mins, order gets canceled. Not sure if employees are not processing on purpose or if they just stopped doing uber eats altogether. Either way, they should remove themselves from Uber app if they are not fulfilling orders with them. read more

I will commend their service. Super friendly staff and came back to check in on us. Food over all was ok. Maybe partially because of the disclaimer: "prices listed are CASH only prices". The prices seemed pretty reasonable until you read the disclaimer and then we were kind of in a limbo about how much the food costs if we pay with credit card. We ended up ordering the Dulce de Leche crepe with all the toppings on the side and a 2 coffee's. I don't like overly sweet things so ordering the toppings on the side was a great option. We were served a small bowl of leche creme and another with whipped cream. These bowls were filled to the brim. The coffee was nothing too special... standard diner coffee and free refills. The down side is that one cup of coffee was $5. We thought this was a little pricey for what we were drinking, so we tried getting as many refills as possible. read more

Several people in my family recommend this place. It was so disappointing. I got the red chilaquiles they came with beans and 2 eggs ($1 extra for any plates that have eggs) the chips for the chilaquiles were stale and the beans were burnt! My husband got the loaded steak and eggs and the steak was drenched in soy sauce, only had 2 mushrooms. The food overall is really terrible. My husband did like the conchita that they bring when you arrive which is the hype about this place. read more

If zero stars were a possibility, that's what I would give. I found out about this place through social media and I sent it to our friends and we all met up on a Saturday afternoon. The host quoted our party of 8 30 min and we left our number. After the quoted 30 minutes and no text, we checked to see how much longer and the host told us another 15 minutes.... After 20 minutes we checked again and the host tells us that they don't have our name on the list!! After an awkward few minutes of trying to figure out what to do with the situation, they got us a big booth in the back. Our server greeted us quickly and took our whole order. We ordered a mixture of coffees and shakes and waters for the table. The waters never came and all of our drinks came at different times. And there were no conchas! *side note- they charged us an extra $1 per plate due to the egg situation Our food came out, still no conchas....7 out of 8 plates came out and then they told us that the last plate was sold out and if we could order something else. My husbands biscuits and gravy were cold and dry and looked like it had been under the warmer for a while. He asked for extra gravy to try and salvage it but we never received it. Also, our server tried dropping off wrong plates at our table multiple times... like didn't you take our order?! We saw a different server walking around with plates of conchas so we asked for some and she was surprised we never received any. Everyone else ate and were almost done and our friend still didn't have her food, so we cancelled that. We originally wanted pastries from the bakery but we were already so frustrated with the whole experience. After paying and heading out the door, my husband forgot his glasses and went back and on his way out they handed him a bag of food saying he forgot it but it wasn't ours... why is everyone giving us random food? Safe to say I wouldn't recommend this place read more

Down at the Monday night car show at Loaded Cafe' in Placentia. My husband had a Sirloin Torta, I had a burger that had onion rings, bacon and BBQ sauce. Then we split a Nutella banana strawberry crepe! We really love everything, and they make fresh brewed ice tea that tastes so good! This spot was recommended from a family friend and honestly we are so impressed and happy with the outcome!! Service was great, they were so attentive on our needs and requested such great food options for our breakfast. Jose was especially helpful and amazing, treated us like family and ensuring everyone in our group got EXACTLY what they wanted. Needed to get lunch before I had to go to work and I swung by this place. I heard this place was known for their chilaquiles so I ordered the non-spicy Asada Chilaquiles plus an iced Dulce de leche latte to go. When I got to work it was still warm. The meat was cooked perfectly and the tortillas weren't too soggy from all the sauce from the drive over. They make use of the space by organizing the layout to accommodate up to maybe 50 guests in total. It's also a bit dark inside as the window shades prohibit a lot of natural light from shining through. The menu consists of traditional Mexican dishes. My niece and I ordered the shrimp. The rest of our family ordered enchiladas. The food didn't take long to arrive and the presentation was great. The serving size for the shrimp was pretty generous. It was flavored with a lemony garlic sauce that was quite tasty. The beans were light and didn't taste like they came from a can. My niece ordered the spicy version of the shrimp plate and said that it wasn't too spicy, but it was good. Our server was very attentive and checked on us often. However, my review is based on the prices and food quality. I ordered the birria tacos, which unfortunately did not meet my expectations. The meat contained excessive fat and had an unusual taste, suggesting the use of low-quality meat. Additionally, I ordered a cheeseburger with fries, but the meat was not cooked to my desired level of doneness. I also found the onion ring burger to lack flavor. Our total bill came out to be $70 for three meals, two orange juices, and one lemonade. I decided to give Loaded Cafe a try on two separate occasions, and unfortunately, both visits were far from pleasant. On the second visit, we ordered the red and green chilaquiles, but they were, to put it mildly, a mess. The flavors were off, and the presentation felt careless. The service didn't help either. Our server Jose P. seemed to be in a rush, barely acknowledging us, and it took ages for our coffee to arrive. To add to the frustration, it appeared they selectively decide who gets the complimentary sweet bread basket, something we didn't receive despite seeing other tables with it.
