Been driving past this place and finally decided to try this new brunch spot. First off, the service is great! Friendly host and our server, Josefina, was amazing. She was very attentive and personable! We got free chips and beans/salsa as soon as we were seated and those were already very tasty. We ordered the nopales with eggs and chipotle chicken wraps. Both were delicious and the tortillas were super legit. I love the well balanced mix of American and Mexican food (and crepes!) On the menu. It's hard to achieve such a diverse menu while remaining authentic but this place does a pretty decent job. read more

I was reading into other reviews and a lot have said the service was good. Our experience was below par. First off, our server was in a hurry taking our order and not the friendliest too (I get it, it was somewhat busy). In the middle of our meal my mom asked for a refill of water. She says ok- but would just keep passing by us with no acknowledgement, not even once. We asked again and she says ok not even saying "oh sorry about that". She sent over a runner or another server and she just places a quarter full pitcher of water on the table (enough for 2 people and there were 5 of us). I asked her if she was gonna pour it for us and her response was "I mean i could. Do you want me to?" I was livid at that point and said forget it we can do it. I could not believe what I've heard! Food was great, customer service HORRIBLE! and its not the waiters its that for the entire restaurant theres only 2 waiters , whos do everything, hostess and waiters. Came to Loaded Cafe for the first time for breakfast and we had a great experience! Fast service, fresh food, and our waitress, Lily, was very attentive. I had the chicken Cesar sandwich, the chicken was so juicy, tender and well seasoned. Also loved the fries. My husband got a chorizo torta (for $6!) And he really enjoyed it, said the refried beans tasted authentic and really good. And his grandma got the strawberry almond cream cheese crepes. She enjoyed them, she said they were different and she'd get something else the next visit but that they were stoll good, just not her first choice when we come back. I would give zero stars first of all I got charged an extra $25 the same day I went. I have been calling and they said 3 to 5 business days they will return the money and I waited and they actually charged my card $48.20 as I checked today 4/25 which is ridiculous. I went there alone and I just got a waffle combo no drink just water and they charge me $48 my original total was $23.20 and they had the audacity to blame it on my bank when they charge me $25 extra in the first place. First time visiting 3/23/25 - Sunday. We got there 10 minutes before opening. The place inside looks worn. The server, not rude but seemed not fully awake. We had to wait for coffee to be made. Our coffee was served without concha's. I figured we just aren't getting any or we have to ask. The menu had a variety of items, however, nothing appealed to me. I ordered carne asada with chilaquiles with and over medium eggs. Had to pay .50 cent extra for each egg. The husband ordered a traditional eggs, bacon, pancake and hash browns. Something he could have ordered at our local Dennys. Did I mention we drove from Ontario? Fifteen minutes after ordering, we get two mini strawberry flavored conchas. At this point, we had finished our first cup of coffee. Needed to wait for a refill. Got the refill, took a bite of the concha. It was freshly baked and still warm. It was delicious. Our food arrived, I was disappointed in the portion of my chilaquiles platter. The carne asada was about 10 tiny almost burnt strips. I believe the price was $23.95 plus the extra dollar for two eggs. My husband's meal was mini portions as well. His pancake looked slightly burnt with crispy edges. Once we got over the visual presentation, we took our first bites. My chilaquiles were crispy and eventually softened with the little red sauce and egg yolks. Beans and carne asada were tasty. Husband raved that the pancake was really good. We finished everything. We give this place a 7/10. I forgot to mention, they have a bakery in the back called "Panecito". Drove past this place yesterday and and to come back to try it. We order the Asada Chilqaulies, the Sirloin Torta, and the Swedish crepes. All together the food was just okay. The Swedish crepes was the best thing at of it all. The asada is pretty decent but the salsa they but on was nasty. Honestly food was a straight 3/5. Now let's talk about service. Loaded is the correct name for this place. If you have a picky family this is the place to go you get Mexican an American food at all in one menu. The service was good and the food was great. Place is overrated. We were a party of 8 and our plates would come every 2-3 mins at a time and two or three of our orders were cold. Once we had all of our orders we were still missing a couple of drinks and we kept asking for them. Went in at night around 8pm, they only had one cook. Seemed like they've had a busy night our waiter was so nice and kept checking up on is. I've worked food industry jobs so why would I be upset? Also I was raised the right way so we patiently waited and enjoyed our night. Bf ordered the churro crepes omg they are so good. The nachos were nachos can't go bad but the highlight was that raspberry pineapple smoothie! So refreshing loved. I'm so excited to try their shakes, I saw a mazapán one OOFF excited to go back. I was hankering for biscuits and gravy. Their biscuits were savory and fluffy. The gravy flavor was excellent with ample sausage crumbles. The gravy was a little thick for my personal taste, but my personal taste is probably too thin for the average. I was still able to enjoy it unlike some competitors where it was so thick I could not even stomach it. Everything that came with it was also excellent. The hash browns were perfectly cooked. The sausages were links but they seemed skinless, so it is more like a sausage patty in texture. The eggs were well prepared to my specification. Over and above the food, the service was impeccable. The waitress was congenial and attentive. She offered to get a sample when I expressed concern about what the gravy texture might be like. She refilled my soda order once without having to be asked and asked it I would like a third as she got the bill, and she did all this while appearing quite busy with other customers. The restaurant also offered free chips with a nice green salsa and refried beans. The had several week day lunch specials that looked appealing that I will return to try out. Please do not call it a "DISCOUNT for using CASH" if in reality cash = paying full price and Card payment equals Customers having to pay an extra fee to make up for your business expense. My #1 complaint and huge reason for the 2 star review is the fact that they added 4% charge to the check for using a Card to pay instead of paying with cash. They do have signs that say it is cheaper to pay with cash but they do not let you know that you get punished for using a card for payment. Majority of other restaurants or establishments I have been to that have a cash price typically give you a DISCOUNT for using cash but if you choose to use card you pay the listed price. At this restaurant if you pay cash you pay the amount that is listed in the menu but if you pay card they charge you a fee on top of the listed price. That seems backwards and honestly, as a patron, I should not be paying your establishment's credit card machine fee. That's just not cool. I do not appreciate this business practice. The service is also decent - I only saw my server when she took my order and when she took my check for payment - other than that, it was always other workers walking by that helped and the manager. Was so looking forward to having the coffee flight & the complimentary pan dulce. The 3 coffee flavors were just that, super sweet with very little coffee flavor. I had to order 2 shots of espresso to add to them to lighten the sweetness of each flavor. We didn't get the complimentary sweet bread until we asked for it ( but they were warm & yummy) . Our waiter was polite but seemed a bit irritated when we mentioned our dislike of the coffee. Then we ordered our food. It was ok not bad but nothing special. Before we left we used the restroom and noticed lot's of available tables but yet they had people standing around and waiting to be seated. This place is not what I was expecting. The pricing was a bit questionable at first based on the pictures I saw on the menu. The portions my family got were actually larger and better looking than the pictures were. I ordered the country breakfast torta, my daughter ordered the dulce de Leche crepe, and wife ordered basic breakfast eggs sausage and waffle. I would say that for the money, any of the standard breakfast items cost too much. However, their fusion items that my daughter and I had were exceptional and matched the price we paid. I didn't complain too much about the price...I mean, when the manager offered us to try a concha French toast on the house, I thought it was well worth the visit. FYI: this used to be IHOP. We had the same waitress this morning as we had last year when it was an IHOP. I enjoy writing reviews without my subjective feelings, which I will try to do here. We went here due to a coupon we got in the mail, which was BOGO 1 entree. Fine print said with the purchase of a beverage and max discount of $8. This review is not 1-star because the staff were really kind and the interior decor was pretty hip and cool :) The waitress recommended the carne asada chilequiles, so I got them. They came out on a small plate, less than pictured in the menu. The carne asada had good flavor, but just warm and not hot. There were fatty pieces that I could not eat, I had to spit them out. I finished the plate and left the restaurant hungry. They were $21. We learned that the coupon was only eligible if each entree ordered also was ordered with a drink. I had gotten coffee, the typical coffee one can get at a diner, refillable black coffee. It tasted slightly burned, but still tasty enough. Plus, it costed $4.19, so I didn't want it to go to waste. In order to get the $8 discount, my wife had to also order a beverage. She ordered the least expensive beverage, a coffee as well. Also, the prices on the menu are the prices if you pay with cash only. We were charged a non-cash fee on our final bill. We ended up paying cash, and we're given change and not charged that fee. It did not feel like a discount for paying with cash, it felt like avoiding the up charge for using a credit card. Overall, we will not be returning, it is too expensive for the quality and quantity of food we received. read more
