Cute spot, opened only a few short months, located on the 2nd floor of the Moxy Chelsea! Delicious thin crust pizza. We had the Amacitriana & Margherita both only $16, I thought it was only the little one a slice because of this posh spot! But oh boy it's a whole medium pizza size compare to San Francisco Bay Area. Delicious, fresh, super thin, so cheesy, so damn tasty! Waitress Hashelly was wonderful & her floor manager, a tall handsome slender young man! We even got 2 Prosecco complimentary for checking in at the Moxy hotel. We stayed because of the Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Elite! So it delivers! The balcony patio was cute. The back patio opens to the pizzeria where you can see chef works on your pizza! Love it! Library look, bookshelves, Caesars era statues, paintings, sleek, swanky, and quite charming, and live music makes you move your feet! Solid and unexpectedly pleasant! I really didn't expect to like this place as much as I did, but here I am writing a 5 star review. It's much posher than the bars I typically frequent (I'm more of a hole-in-the-wall with lots of beers on tap kind of girl), but I didn't feel out of place at all. I was blatantly dressed down compared to the other patrons, but the staff was still very attentive and engaging. While most establishments should operate this way, that's unfortunately not always the case in NY. The bartender set up a table for my group even though we were still waiting on most of the party to arrive. He patiently went through the different drink options and made recommendations based on our preferences. The drinks are on the pricier end ($16ish per cocktail), but they're strong and aesthetically beautiful. They were incredibly vibrant and adorned with flowers and fruit. My cocktail even came with a pasta straw! I didn't order food, but the other members of my group did. They raved about the warm bread selection and pasta. The Tao group is opening this snazzy cafe by day and modern Italian by the rest of the day and night at the Moxy. The pastries say Franny A. eat me and a sneak peak at the menu is saying the same thing. The front has a sexy corneto/coffee bar and restaurant in back. We were guests at the Moxy over the weekend and the hotel staff raved about the bar upstairs. We went for a drink before heading to dinner one evening and could not have been more disappointed with our drinks and the service. If you're looking for a place with an awesome ambiance that will also look amazing in pictures- this is it, but the rest may fall short of expectations. We must have arrived during a time when the staff was doing an inventory of the bar for the evening, we were their last priority. Our drinks were not great, we had to ask for our check three times and overall it just felt like we were an inconvenience to their evening. We did not go back, if we would have- I would have stuck with a glass of wine or a beer. There are too many great places around the hotel to waste your time on a poor experience with mediocre drinks. read more

Loved this place. The website and other reviews were a bit confusing: is it a restaurant, bar, cafe? Where is each located? What do they sell and how much does it cost? So let me break it down. When you walk in, you'll be entering the cafe that alters its meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It features high top seating and bar style seating. Directly behind the cafe, on the same level, is the restaurant. If you go through the side entrance next to the cafe and up to the second floor then you'll find the bar ( where I visited). The space is beautiful and features standard bar seating and a few couches. Overall much cozier than the cafe. The couches, unfortunately, were occupied by a lady and her small children which struck me as odd since it's a bar...anyway. You move behind the bar seating and there is additional sectional style sofa seating that mimics a rooftop bar set up. Once again it's beautiful. Lots of greenery and luxurious mid-century style furniture. The menus feature oven cooked pizza that will run you from $16 to $20. It's ULTRA thin but pretty tasty. They also have Italian rice balls for $12 (you get 3 with 3 dipping mayos). So it's a great place to grab a cocktail (average nyc cocktail prices $14-$16) and some bar bites. The space is so absolutely stunning and high class but you won't need to break the bank to visit. I'll for sure be back! read more

Great service and great food. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. The Error #5 Negroni was awesome. The stars of the night were the prosciutto pizza and the fried mozzarella balls. They were absolutely perfect! My wife stated the pizza was one of the best she had in quite some time! We will definitely be back for more snacks and drinks when we're in the area. read more

The food was authentic Italiano. The papardello was delicious and very meaty. The wine selection was solid. Our server Alyssa was phenomenal. She explained all the dishes in detail, and clearly took pride in explaining the menu and our experience. The venue is nice not too tight and there's a bar in front. My rating is based off of 2 separate visits that were a couple of weeks apart. The first time I went to Feroce I was meeting someone who I met on a dating app. This would be our first time meeting in person. They just so happened to be staying in the hotel. In all honesty I was a little more interested in checking out the new hotel than the actual person but either way I would get to see a new place/person. One of them should be a hit right? Then I saw them. The person I was meeting... I get to the bar and automatically knew this was not the person for me within the first 3 seconds. DRINK PLEASE!!!!......HELLO?......I said please......The drinks took FOREVER. It was a Thursday around 11pm and I know places like this want to make the drinks very well BUT thats not what was happening. It was just a total lack of energy from the staff. This is a lounge but the lounging is for the customers who are paying for $16 drinks. Not the staff. Whatever! its a new place give them a break right? Well I finally receieved the drink which I would have love to throw back and order another right away to make this date more enjoyable and because my date was charging them to his room) ,but it did not taste good at all. I only drink Margaritas when I go out. I know that they are not the easiest thing to make. I've ordered Margaritas at Irish pubs and seedy dive bars in the Lower east side that I can't even see when I take a sip. But this Margarita tasted like a Margarita would taste if I tried making it. Yikes! I finally made it through the first one and ordered a second and bam! *Deja Vu* It took way too long and tasted as Paris Hilton would say...."Beyond!!!!!" Second Visit! Its a couple of weeks later. My Miami Hotel developer lover is in town and the Moxy is on his list of hotels to check out. He brings me the list of hotels he wants to visit, and I bring him and his credit card. The entrance is tricky. Even though I had been there a couple of weeks prior, I forgot which entrance to go into. There are 3 entrances very close to one another. I also had 2 drinks at the Ace hotel prior to this so that may have had something to do with it but nonetheless, still a bit tricky. We make it up to the second floor, and he immediately starts to wander around to look at the decor and architecture of the place. (He gave it a thumbs up btw) The Place really does look and feel pretty fun and cozy at the same time. It was a Tuesday night so there were maybe 8 people Max. I go to the bar and ordered a Jalepeno Margarita. I start having convo with my date and 10-15 minutes later I realize that I still don't have my drink. I look to see whats going on with the staff before being a complainer. But they were literally just hanging out on the other side of the bar. The Manager then comes out and she decides to start my drink. Once she makes it over she's stirring it while saying that she thinks she made it a little too spicy. I said "no way I always say extra spicy and I always like it." 1 sip later, the taste buds burnt off of my tongue and she starts cracking up laughing. I said I'm sorry I NEVER send a drink back but I cannot even sip that. She said yeah no worries I knew I made it too spicy. She comes back and the new one taste pretty good. Cheers, My guy hands her $20......well she never came back with any change. I guess the drink was $20? Not really sure but we didn't bother asking. Long story short. Great space, drinks were not great and took forever both visits. The bartenders need a fire lit on their asses or a sip of that first jalapeño margarita that I had. Other than that I think it has tons of potential. I will check out the rooftop bar when I get a chance. That seems a bit more clubby so when I arrive there I will have already consumed many drinks so I will be less fussy and won't remember too many of these details. read more

The drinks are delicious here. I had the Ficudinnia and Barbarossa and not only were they delicious but they were so pretty to look at. The bartender Thomas, recommended we try the prosciutto pizza and the Suppli (fried rice balls with fresh mozzarella in it) and they were great! The prosciutto was the best I ever had! 2.5 Stars. Mixed salad and Parma pizza featured fresh, quality ingredients but were both severely under-seasoned. The salad (which is only lettuce and a hint of vinaigrette) came with the crumpled kitchen ticket mixed in! Item was comped but replacement not offered until after meal was finished. Apology was made but to my companion and not me. Service was barely attentive and waitresses seemed uncomfortable in tight and very short black dresses. Round my 2.5 stars to 3 as credit to the interior design of the entire floor (from windows behind bar overlooking 28th to the semi-outdoor garden space in back). Flexible meeting spaces partitioned by floral drapery are Italian in style and locally inspired. The glass cylinder partition at the top of the stairs is both incredibly simple and ingenious. Worth a revisit as I work a few doors down, and hopefully as time progresses it becomes more of a destination than just a convenience. read more
