We were on a bike ride along the bike trail and decided to stop here for some lunch before our bike ride back to Main street in Orleans. We ordered at the walk up window in the front and initially planned to sit at one of the outdoor picnic benches. However, we then realized there were also indoor picnic benches inside so we headed in there to sit. The bartender was nice enough to come over and offer us some water and we informed her we had already ordered sodas in the front but didn't have them. She then proceeded to go and get our drinks. The menu offers plenty of seafood items, as well as some other items including Jamaican food. I ordered the lobster Reuben. It came on a ciabetta roll with coleslaw and swiss cheese. It was a nice size portion and very tasty. My husband had the fried clams with French fries. He also enjoyed his lunch.

Davey & co KILLIN` it out here... we stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for clam chowder, lobster roll and "Portuguese fish." All really good stuff, but that third one was the consummate meal. Faro-orzo blend is good stuff, and a really nice piece of fish stuffed with some mix of scallop and herbs and something called linguica. (Portuguese sausage?) All in all - bitchin` food combined with really great service. Davey is a gracious host, protect that man at all costs.

Dog friendly and egg roll was great !

Clam chowder is amazing and the Jamaican food was a nice option and addition. Didn't have to wait like some other places and still got great food!

I love places like this! Not only was our food and drink's phenomenal, but the service and friendliness we experienced was super refreshing on our first trip to this area. Mo (Maureen) was our server and bartender. Not only were our drinks perfection, but she overheard me say my phone's battery was low and she offered to charge my phone for me. Who does that anymore! I recommend this place wholeheartedly and would love to go back again!

We had just left Nauset Beach and was hungry for lunch. Sure enough tge Lobster & Chowder house popped up right as we were leaving the area. We placed our order at the bar and sat down at one of the picnic tables inside. We ordered a clam chowder and lobster tacos. They came in a timely manner , the soup was pretty good needs more clams and potatoes and could be a little thicker. The lobster tacos were quite large looking (2 of them) and appeared to be overflowing with lobster but underneath was their coleslaw that was dripping all over. I would prefer it on the side. I would go back but maybe get something else.

Cheapest lobster roll we could find in the area - a BLT lobster roll. IT WAS THE BEST SANDWICH IVE EVER HAD. After a day on the cape it's the perfect, chill spot to come with your family or alone to get some good eats and vibes. Everybody there was nice too. 10/10

***This review is for my experience with the hot lobster roll (warm + butter, NOT the cold lobster salad roll)*** The Lobster and Chowder House is a roadside seafood shack with a enclosed bar/patio area if you want to sit down and enjoy your food and drink vs. a "grab-n-go" experience. It's not fancy and it's not intended to be that sort of an experience, it's a no-frills place to get some really fresh food along the main drive to Provincetown. The chowder was a little thicker than I usually like, but the clams and ingredients were fresh and treated with respect that come together in an above average package. The hot lobster roll was everything that my wife hoped it would be: a buttered and griddled brown, split-top bun, with just slightly warmed lobster meat (primarily claw and knuckle meat, large chunks of vs. the shredded sorts you can find) and a side of clarified butter. No frills again, just really high quality ingredients that are treated with respect, served with the finesse of someone who has done this a few thousand times before. Was it the best meal, seafood, or lobster roll I ever had? No. Were we disappointed with what we got for the price point? No. Did it 100% satisfy us and give us what we were looking for? Yes. I would definitely go back on a drive to PTown again or as I was passing through, but I already had my expectations set before I stepped up to the ordering window. It's great for what it is, but doesn't pretend to be what it's not - and I appreciate and applaud them for that.

Perfect stop for a lobster roll and chowder! Service was great, fun roadside atmosphere, clean and upbeat! The food was delicious! Absolutely recommend!

My family visits Cape Cod every year and this was our first time trying the Lobster & Chowder house. The clam chowder had great flavor, although it could have used some more clams. We all ordered different variations of lobster rolls which were all delicious! The service was great as well. We will certainly come again.

Rainy Spring day on Cape Cod went for a ride down to p-town saw the sign driving by, we both wanted lobster and chowder stopped in. Friendly bartender tasty but expensive drinks for sitting in a very casual Gravel floor "patio" . my honey ordered large bowl "served in decent size paper cup" of clam chowder, consisted of a few quarter inch cubes of potato the hint of lobster and some evaporated milk maybe.. Then the scary part, before she served, the. Styrofoam to go container of fish and chips, I was sitting at the bar, the smell up very old fish became nauseating obvious. I said wow how old is that fish? As smell continue to increase, I refused it, before she even opened the styrofoam container. the bartender then took it to another guest in the restaurant and requested their opinion apparently in a effort to embarrass me.. or a second opinion ???? Two stars one for being an old-fashioned Cape Cod roadside clam shack and one star for a untrained server was trying to do her best.

There are multiple different seating options, everything from an outdoor patio to high top bar seats, tables, and the indoor booth seating which is what we selected. The dining room is comfortable, and with open windows it provided a nice breath of fresh air. We started with the seafood sampler, a wonderful combination of fresh and delicious shellfish (clams, oysters, shrimp and a lobster tail). We then split appetizers instead of entrees, having the tuna tartare and the Chatham mussels, both of which were excellent. There was some minor room for improvement - after we were done with our seafood sampler, we sat for about 10 minutes while our server Danielle seemed to be in an enthusiastic conversation with Caroline out in front of the restaurant. It provided for some interesting dinner theater, but with so many other employees standing around, it probably would have been an ideal opportunity for somebody else to chip in and take over. Also, the mussels came in a wonderful wine / garlic sauce - some bread would have been a thoughtful addition to soak up that wonderful broth. Fortunately the quality of the food and the vibe of the restaurant more than compensated for a couple of service issues - we visited in late May, so hopefully by the time this restaurant hits the busy season, they'll have the issues worked out. Overall, I would certainly not hold back from referring this restaurant.

Service was very friendly. The food came out incredibly quickly. Almost too quickly. I wouldn't have minded waiting a little bit to have more time to enjoy my wine and the ambiance. There was bread service which I enjoyed because a lot of restaurants have stopped offering bread. We had a beet and arugula salad to start which was delicious. For dinner I had the scallop dish with a seafood demi glacé and mushrooms. It was very rich with umami and paired well with the sweetness of the scallops. My husband had the grilled swordfish which was good, but not very special. The piece of fish was a little thin and slightly overcooked. The buttery caper sauce was good . Our lemon meringue tart was tasty, but the tart crust was tough and nearly impossible to cut through. Overall it was good, but not great. It was also very expensive. My dish with 4 scallops was nearly $50. The total with our food and just two glasses of wine plus tip was nearly $200 which is quite steep, even for the Cape. If we were to return next year I think we're more likely to come for a lunch.

We just wanted a light snack because it was a little late in the day. A friendly woman (who I believe was an owner) was training someone and recommended the tuna sashimi dinner. We ate on the patio on a high top table near a screen window, which was lovely. The biggest advantage over Arnold's is that the joint is BYOB. That's a rare thing in the Cape. The fried cod was flaky, lightly coated, and perfectly fried with an abundant amount of homemade French fries, a roll, and standard fare Cole Slaw. The roll is unnecessary, in my opinion. Missing having onion rings on the menu. Arnold's (and the old Liam's at Nauset Beach) made the best. Condiments are serve-yourself, but you'll have to ask the host for lemon slices. We'll return for fried food but will continue to search other locales. We went back the next night for ice cream and it was just average. $5 for a small scoop in a bowl, we were charged more for a small sundae than what was advertised on the board, and service was very slow. However, the sundae hit the spot and they didn't skimp on the hot fudge and walnuts.

On a chilled November evening, my family tucked ourselves into the warmth of The Wicked Oyster for a meal we're already reminiscing about only 24-hours later. Chosen for their namesake, we ordered six raw oysters upon arrival. This was my mom and brother's first raw oyster, and they became converts upon first slurp. Though I know they're spoiled to have such exceptional oysters as their first, I don't begrudge them the experience. That initial serving of oysters went down with such rave reviews, we were left with no other choice but to expedite a repeat order. To start, I crunched on the Little Gem Salad and dreamt of slathering every meal in it's sherry mustard vinaigrette. It was just the thing to occupy my mind and palate in anticipation of the main course. Diagnosed with a "Hankering For Red Meat," I chose the 8oz Hanger Streak (pictured.) If I could pen this entry in drool, I would. The meal was sublime on every count. I wanted to linger, to draw out the night as long as possible. But all good things must come to and end, and so must our night at The Wicked Oyster. Played out by a live cellist (!), we floated to the car with leftovers in hand, dreaming of a restaurant like this at home, while thankful for the preservation of memory. The Wicked Oyster will live on in our minds, hearts, and stomachs for years to come...
