My hubby suggested Lobster Chef for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. The seafood was fresh, the seafood combo was cooked well, deveined by the owner, herself, and the portions were filling. I love how they made their special sauce (mix of everything). The owner was friendly and checked on us throughout the meal. The place was clean and had a relaxed atmosphere, which made it easy to enjoy our dinner. Prices are reasonable. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back when we're craving seafood. I'm going for the 1lb lobster meal for only $30! Will bring my relatives and friends here!

Come here again for the fresh crawfish. The meat always plump and juicy. The cajun sauce brings out the natural sweetness beautifully. They are surprisingly pairs perfectly. Yummy P.S. The season of this year almost the end, don't miss out

Back again! All you can eat for $34.95 Monday-Thursday and $39.95 Friday-Sunday. Lots to choose from. Right now they have a lobster special $79.95 for 1lb of lobster with sides and your choice of 4 additional seafood and two drinks included.

Lobster Chef is where we go for AYCE seafood boil. Unlike some other AYCE places where food sits in heating trays and guest will have to fight for popular dishes, at Lobster Chef guests can order whatever they want and asks for more and they will cook to order. This ensures that the ingredients are fresh and cooked to taste. I also like that they have a long list of appetizers and sides that are included in the AYCE.

Very good food!! Highly recommended!! I love their clams, very big and juicy! The lobster also very tasty! Love their cajun sauce! The mussels and shrimps are very fresh as well! Chicken wings also a must order item!

Came here with my boyfriend when we were driving to Daly City. We were in the mood for seafood boil and this place did not disappoint! We got one of their combo that had the 2 lobster tails, clams, crawfish, mussels, and shrimp in their house sauce and in medium spice. We didn't really taste the spice so I recommend maybe getting it spicier if you love your spice. Everything and even the lobster tail was cooked perfectly! We also got a side of garlic noodles and Cajun fries since it's always a must! Fries were crispy and the garlic noodles were garlic-y! Service was good, checked up on us and refilled our waters. The place is a bit small and kinda hidden in a plaza. Overall, we liked this place! Looks like a family business so there's more to love on that!

If you're in the mood for fresh, delicious seafood, this place is a must-visit. The shrimp here are incredible--fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. Love their cajun sauce. Right now, they're offering an AYCE (all-you-can-eat) promotion weekday early bird for $34.95, which is an amazing deal. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and the service is great. I will definitely be coming back!

Boiling Crab tasted bitter overall, and even though I ordered the butter garlic Cajun mix, I couldn't taste any butter or garlic at all. The flavor was disappointing, and I don't think I'll come back.

My boyfriends mom told us about this place and I just had to try it! It's AYCE seafood boil and it was only $45 per person! I got a pound of shrimp, mussels and clams. I also chose the garlic butter sauce. For sides I got the corn and potatos. We thought the seasoning of the sauce wasn't to strong. It tasted a little bland to us. But I mean for that price and it's AYCE?? can't really complain!

I came here a few years ago and was left underwhelmed because of the price point to flavor and experience, but they've recently introduced an all you can eat menu that's a very reasonable price ($35-40 depending on the day). It's typically empty, unfortunately for them, as it's hidden in a quiet Asian plaza, and I don't think too many people in this area are into this type of cuisine. However, they do fill a niche since there aren't many seafood boils in the peninsula. Their all you can eat menu has a ton of fried appetizer options, half off drinks, and staple sides are included! There is an extra charge for lobster and crab. They also have a la carte menu and specials. I love how you can just pull their bib on instead of tying it yourself! You are also provided gloves for handling. I think you have to request limes and seasoning if you want them, but I didn't care. - Fried Calamari Has rings and tentacles, but a little rubbery and tough, and came with cocktail sauce. - Cajun Fried Shrimp This is an interesting menu item, as it's their shrimp with no head, but peeled and tossed with Cajun spices - like a dry version of the shrimp seafood boil. - Cajun Chicken Bites Dried out popcorn chicken with more breading than meat. - Cajun Fries Very good as they come out very hot, nicely fried and crisp, with a soft interior. They are seasoned very well, perhaps above average on sodium. - Cajun Corn Ribs Literally corn ribs tossed in Cajun spices and fried! The juices seemed to have escaped the kernels, so it was more of a textural thing. - Seafood Entrees Their seafood is pretty good, especially the shrimp with head, which are plump and fresh. The shrimp no head is extra large headless shrimp, though not as big as the head-on, but easier to peel. The mussels and clams were good; clams were marginally better because I had a couple weird mussels, and the crawfish were just okay as some weren't juicy not too big, and were from frozen. - Sauce I tried each of them individually and they were good! They have a couple nearby competitors, and I currently prefer Lobster Chef's sauce. They don't overload you with sauce, but it's covered just enough. And, they're generous with each bag, as they let me try the different sauces in separate bags. I'm willing to patronize more just because of their attempt to accommodate what I want. The garlic butter is very smooth, mild, and refreshing if you want a lighter experience. The lemon pepper is a good balance of fresh lemon and pepper while being savory; I was surprised at where the taste came from since I thought I would only taste overly acidic lemon peel and pepper - maybe a nice broth was created from the mixture of lemon, pepper, and the natural juices from the seafood? Their Cajun sauce is a very reliable Cajun sauce - just what you'd expect, with balanced flavors of spices, garlic, butter, sweetness, and saltiness. We got medium spice and it wasn't harsh at all - just a mild lingering heat. - Sides They are previously frozen, but adequate for your needs. Their garlic noodles are just spaghetti noodles lightly tossed with garlic, a bit of cheese, and not much else. I'd skip, as they were kind of bland. The Cajun sausage was like a good mild hot sausage with a light snap. The Hawaiian bread was King's Hawaiian rolls, just toasted on the spot, which was actually good for soaking up all the sauce in our tummies. Overall, the employees were very nice, the food was prepared quickly and well made, and you get a 10% discount via receipt if you come again within two weeks!

First off the service was good and they were fast to seat us. There were only 2 workers and they were constantly super busy. We started with the Cajun fries (not pictured). The fries were pretty good. For the meal, we decided to share garlic noodles and combo c3 which included shrimp, crawfish, mussels or clams, corn, potato, sausage. I have to say I was a bit disappointed in the food. Starting with the sauce - we got spice level medium. It was extremely salty and grainy. The shrimp was just ok. The mussels were extremely large and I didn't enjoy those very much. I think there's definitely some room to improve here. Unfortunately it didn't really fix my craving for a seafood boil.

First time eating here, and the food was delicious. They have several menu options, and it was hard to choose just one. The service was great. Will definitely go back again.

I was leaving out of the sf airport and this restaurant caught my attention because of the location and because it was a sea boil type... we called to see if they take reservations and they do but the lady said it wasn't busy so she will sit us right away. Once we arrived the place is located in a big shopping center lots of parking. And no one was at the restaurant... the red was nice and clean and the lady was very friendly and had great service... I order a pound of Crawfish with corn and a side of rice . The mild flavor has a nice quick to it and the flavors were really good... the food did take a while to come out but when it came out it was nice and fresh and hot. I recommend this place really tasty food and the sea food was fresh taste

The space is clean, modern, and aesthetically nice, but it is pretty small and not really the type of café I would hang out at for hours. It reminded me more of a busy boba shop where you grab your drink and go. We came around 1 PM and waited about 10 minutes. They only allow around six people to queue inside, so there was a pretty steady line of people waiting outside. This place gets BUSY. We tried the black sesame iced latte and a single origin pour over. The pour over was easily a 10/10 for me. I love light roasts that are super fruit forward, bright, and almost tea like, and this was exactly that. The barista was also incredibly friendly and even shared his recipe with me, which I really appreciated. The black sesame latte was one of the drinks we kept seeing on social media, so obviously we had to try it. Unfortunately, it was not our favorite. The black sesame tasted pretty grainy and bitter, which clashed with the sweetness of the coffee rather than complementing it. I would probably give that drink a 3/5. One thing I really liked is their whole bean selection. They had a ton of freshly roasted coffee available, including beans from Hydrangea and Black & White. Overall, Kaizen gets a 4/5 from me. The pour over alone is enough to bring me back, but I was expecting a little more from their black sesame iced latte

I ordered the lemongrass pork jaw rice. There were only about six pieces of meat, and the lemongrass was chopped into very tiny pieces and mixed into the sauce. The problem was that the lemongrass was extremely tough, almost like small pieces of tree branches, and impossible to chew. I had to spit them out, but because they were chopped so finely and mixed throughout the sauce and meat, it was very difficult to eat. If this is how they prepare the dish, they should reconsider the way they cook and serve lemongrass dishes--or consider removing this dish from the menu. I also waited about 30 minutes for my food. After such a long wait, I expected the food to at least arrive hot, but it was already cold. It seemed like the food had been sitting in the kitchen for a while because there weren't enough staff to bring it out to customers. The table service and cleanliness were also disappointing. There were no staff available to clean the tables, and I actually saw customers moving previous customers' dirty plates to one side and wiping the table themselves. Our table was also extremely sticky. The restaurant really needs to review its food delivery process. Instead of having staff run around the dining area trying to find the right table number, they could simply have customers pick up their food using an order number. This would probably make the process much faster and more organized. Overall, the food was just so-so, the service was slow, and the whole restaurant felt very unorganized. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back.

Speck & egg was the top specific mention, but she added that they're all good. I learned that speck was ham. We ended up getting the chocolate hazelnut croissant & speck & egg. We got the last one of the croissant, so I can only imagine how fast things run out. Baked to perfection - flakey and not dense at all. The croissant did get a bit too sweet over time. There's two tables inside and one bigger one outside. It can get a little crowded with everyone waiting for their drinks. I'm glad I got to try it! I'd come back - lots more to try. Street parking can be a hit or miss nearby. Wherever you park, it's still a nice walk in the downtown area.

Blue Bottle Coffee in San Mateo deserves a special shoutout for the excellent service I received…read morefrom Cameron. He greeted me promptly in such a warm, friendly way and was genuinely helpful throughout the visit. It was honestly one of the best customer service encounters I've had anywhere recently, especially in a coffee shop. Great coffee is always appreciated, but great service like this really stands out. Cameron made the experience feel welcoming and memorable. Highly recommend this location, for both service and cleanliness/atmosphere.

Finding a spot anywhere near the building took forever. The Wait: Waited 15 minutes just to order, only to be told it would be another 15 to 20 minutes for the drinks to actually be made. The Vibe & Pace: I'm usually pretty patient with long lines, but watching the staff work was painful. Zero urgency, moving in slow motion while a huge crowd waited. You could literally feel the shared frustration in the room and everyone around me was checking their watches with the exact same annoyed expression. The coffee at Blue Bottle is always solid, but the bottlenecking from app/delivery orders combined with a staff that refuses to pick up the pace makes this location a skip. Definitely wouldn't go out of my way to come back here.

I was eating next door on a Sunday afternoon and saw lots of people going in and coming out with…read moredelicious looking matcha drinks. I watched their reactions when taking the first sip, it was a lot of head nodding and thumbs upping to their friends so I felt like I had to go in and try for myself. Went in and ordered an earl gray matcha and my partner ordered a passion mango tea w boba. The matcha & the passion fruit was so good! The boba was chewy and sweet. I would definitely recommend coming and trying! I really wanted to try their strawberry matcha but I'm always so skeptical (I have trust issues w bad strawb matchas) but the earl gray was good, so maybe I'll try next visit. The interior was nice, menu was straight forward on the wall and on the check out table -- only thing is the description of the drinks weren't shown on the menus until you're on the self check out kiosk. I was curious about the sunny side up matcha thinking it was made with real egg yolk (which I thought kinda weird?) but the kiosk said that it was mango. You didn't really talk to staff at all & the drinks came out pretty fast! Would come back again.

I later found out they closed that same day due to some kind of sewage/health inspection issue, so I decided to give them another chance after they reopened, especially since friends recommended their other locations. My visits since then have definitely been better. My go-to is now the Double Matcha at 50% sweet. It has a strong matcha flavor, is creamy, and is really good when made right. I definitely won't be getting the matcha einspanner again though. The biggest issue is consistency. Not every visit tastes the same, but when it's good, it's good. The shop also sometimes has a noticeable bathroom/cleaning chemical smell, which isn't the most pleasant when you're sitting inside.
