I love that Buena Park has Lobster Guys now!! Woohoo! It took over that breakfast burrito/chicken wing spot off of Valleyview and Lincoln. I ain't mad about it! Lobster Guys brings a whole new vibe and flavor to Buena Park. My favorite type of Lobster Roll is always the classic. Toasted bun, seasoned lobster meat and drenched in butter. For my non carb hubby, he definitely enjoyed the Lobster Guys Special Salad simply filled with grilled shrimp, lobster meat and crab meat on top of spring mix salad. For my kids, they couldn't get enough of the lobster grilled cheese (ultra cheesy) with the tomato soup and the fish and chips! I enjoyed the coconut shrimp and crab wontons as it satisfied my crunchy cravings. The service by Maddy the store manager was amazing and attentive. She keeps the place clean and delightful. They are in the soft opening stage, so be nice as they are figuring stuff out and under staffed.

Now open. New sign coming soon!

This new Lobster Guys location recently opened, and I've had the chance to visit a couple of times to try out a few menu items. I've had the Connecticut style lobster roll (warm) and the Maine style lobster roll (cold). Both of these were delicious, and the lobster was cooked and seasoned well. The lobster meat was also tender and not rubbery. The fries are seasoned, coated, and fried. No boring fries here. I also tried a cup of the clam chowder, which was hot, chunky, and not too watery. It could be a bit thicker, but it's still satisfying. The dining area is clean and features a few tables, making it a cozy space overall. The decor could use more character, though. I think brightening the walls and adding some art, similar to what is done in the other locations, will make it feel more inviting and better fit the coastal mood. Some chill music would be nice, too. The service was okay on the first visit, but on the second visit, the staff who helped me were friendly and attentive. My food also came out promptly. Although a bit pricey, the quality is decent for a local fast casual spot. I'll probably be back when the cravings hit.

I ordered the Classic Lobster Roll combo, Mango Habenero Wings, and Clam Chowder The Clam Chowder was hot and tasty, the consistency was more watery than thick, depending on your preference some may like that more than others. But overall was a good clam chowder. If it was thicker, I would definitely order it again, but I would probably skip it on my next visit. The Classic Lobster rolls pretty good, there's a good amount of lobster and the bread came out hot and toasted. The fries were very good, crispy and hot with good flavor. I've had fresher tasting lobster for the price but overall it was still pretty good, definitely a place to stop if you want a roll quick. This definitely beats other grab and go rolls nearby. The wings were really good, nice sized wings with a good amount of sauce, and they came out hot. I would recommend to order these The ambiance is casual like a grab and go place with friendly staff. I would recommend they put on some type of music since it's really quiet and sitting in there waiting feels a bit awkward, especially if you're having a conversation everyone is able to listen. There was only two people in the restaurant when I ordered, and it took 20 minutes for my food to come out, I'm sure with time their efficiency will be better; however they did give me a free clam chowder for the wait which was very nice. Overall, if you want a Lobster roll from somewhere local, this would be a good choice.

George and Maddy were very sweet when I went in letting them know that this was my first time. They were very informative on what to try and the lobster roll was delicious. The place is very open and cool. Definitely recommend coming here for the soups too.

First time and, WOW, this place was a one man show literally! Ordering is an easy touch screen and easy to use. Place was clean and although minimal conversation which was understandable, the cook/server was on point! We ordered the classic lobster roll combo and it was delicious! Great portions and lots of lobster! Definitely will be back!!

Claims they're open daily from 11-8, placed on order online on Sunday only for them to be closed still haven't received a refund yet.
    Kassie C.

We had found this place through Maps on our iPhone which does say they are open daily from 11-8 pm (attached picture). It took us to their website, where you can order via Toast. Nowhere on toast did they say it was closed. Placed an order, was charged for the food, arrived 20 min later to the restaurant to see they are closed. I called, left messages sent a text, gave them the day to respond and still haven't heard anything about a refund. Yelp says they're closed on Sundays and Mondays however not everyone automatically checks yelp before going to a place. Especially if they're ordering on their website- it should've definitely been closed and shouldn't have allowed me to place an order.

Was craving a lobster roll so decided to check this place out with my husband. As we got in, we were warmly greeted by Addy. She was very sweet and informed us that they are currently in their soft opening period. We ended up getting the classic butter lobster roll, Maine style lobster roll, and a side of clam chowder. To top it off we were given coconut shrimp on the house. Everything was delicious! Will definitely come back again to try out their other food items.

The food was really good! I liked the clam chowder. I usually order it from any seafood restaurant and their's was tasty. The real star of the show was the classic lobster roll. The drawn butter was my favorite part of it, I love a lobster roll with melted butter, it was so yummy! I need to come back to try their Maine Lobster Roll which is their main seller. I will definitely be back!!!

"Open every day 11am - 830p". Not today it wasn't.
    Danny N.

I really wanted to give this place a try after hearing RY from Rys Poke in North Shore opened it (Not sure if this is true). The shop probably operates on island time because it was closed at 730p even though the signs say open every day until 830p and google said 8p. A huge pet peeve of mine is wrong listed hours of operation. I took a peek inside and it was pitch black like the workers at left a while ago. Ry, not sure if you are reading this but you should definitely be checking on your workers or management team. Even recent google reviews are complaining of bad service.

Today we tried this cute little pop up lobster place in BP before it opens fully soon. The lobster rolls were warm, buttery, lemony, and soft on these perfect rolls with old bay and green onion. They were very good. My son ordered the chicken tacos with pico de gallo, salsa, and lettuce. Tasty and delicious. The cashier/owner was so nice and ready to wait on us when we walked in. I can't wait to go back and try the other lobster sandwiches!!!

We have a Classic Butter Lobster Roll Crab Grilled Cheese Soft Shelled Crab Sandwich and Calamari Fries.
    David S.

I would give 10/10 for effort because this guy cooked everybody food and got busy. The sandwich and lobster roll were good but I think the lobster roll bread is decent. I would def give it a try if in the area but my favorite was the Crab Grilled Cheese with the tomato soup! See you soon

Classic lobster roll. Comes with small salad, warm butter, and a lemon wedge.

It's Friday and I'd like to try new place for lunch. Found Loster Guys from yelp and decided to go. We ordered classic lobster rolls with 6 bone in wings. Price aligns with similar lobster roll places, slightly cheaper than famous lobsterroll truck actually. Rolls were good, wings are crispy. Restaurant is clean, staff is nice. No complaints. I am so happy to finally have a lobster roll place near home. Please support local business so we can enjoys lobster rolls whenever we want.

There was no wait when we entered Pelicana for lunch on a Saturday, and you can order directly from the tablet on the table. Service was friendly with water refills offered. Water and cabbage salad are brought to the table upon entering. The cabbage was good though the sauce very mayonnaise heavy for me. We ordered a half order of crispy chicken in garlic sauce, a pasta dish, kimchi udon, and sweet potato fries to share. While I liked that the garlic sauce was super garlicky, it was a bit too sweet for me. The pasta sauce was also on the sweeter side. It also took a while for the food to come out, but that is usually the case for Korean fried chicken as it takes time to double fry the chicken. The chicken was indeed super crispy and delicious. Sweet potato fries were yummy and the kimchi udon spicy but tasty. The interior was large, spacious, and bright. Prices were fair and portions good. I like how many sauce and chicken choices there are at Pelicana compared to some other Korean fried chicken chains. Overall, highly recommend Pelicana!

Five stars for the service alone!…read more Came here by chance, but man am I glad I did. The wings were fresh, and they have plenty of great flavor and dipping options. When I came in I could tell that they were still getting the fryer up and going, and they could have easily just said it will be ~10 mins and I'd have been fine, but the person waiting on me offered to let me try the various flavors with a celery stick to see which one I enjoyed the most - I got to try a few options (which did steer my final choice), and it gave them a few extra minutes to get the show going. That's good customer service! I saw them cleaning, helping multiple customers, and just going the extra mile to make the show go. Good on those two! :) The place was clean, and there's plenty of seating inside. I'll certainly be back, and you should as well!

How dost one mess up an order not once, but twice in a row?…read more Wing Ferno, we really wanted to love you. But it's clear some serious kitchen training -- and maybe a menu reevaluation -- is in order. Let's start with the spice levels. You used to offer a good range, with the infamous "Wing Ferno" heat reserved for those who truly wanted to test their limits. Somewhere along the way, though, you axed the regular spicy and a few other mid-range options, leaving only mild, medium, and Wing Ferno. No warning, no clarification. When we called to place an order, the staff casually said "spicy," which we assumed meant something tolerable -- not a fire-breathing, stomach-churning sandwich . And we can usually handle our spice -- we're Korean. But this? This had us both violently ill for days with stomach issues. (Sorry for the TMI, but that's the truth.) We chalked it up to a miscommunication and decided to give it another shot. This time, we explicitly asked for medium heat to avoid the inferno. And yet, one of our sandwiches showed up missing half a bun. How does that even happen? We really hoped to add Wing Ferno as one of our go-to spots, but after two back-to-back disappointing (and stomach-wrecking) experiences, we're going to have to take a long break -- if not call it quits altogether. Please do better, Wing Ferno. We want to love you!

I walked in and noticed they do have limited tables. I wouldn't say this is a big group kind of place. Luckily for us, we were a party of 4. I looked at the menu over and over and couldn't really decide what to order. I had the dilemma of trying to feed my kids. So of course something not spicy and some carbs. I ordered the fries and honestly they were a miss. I didn't like that dirty oil flavor on it. I also did the cheese balls expecting some cheese full, but that again was a little mochi like in texture with no cheese pulls and dusted with a sweet cheese powder. It's an acquired taste. Those are some of the ehhh dishes. However the star of the show were the boneless chicken. We did their ddeok bokki mala flavor. Dang, that thing hits! It's very spicy, but in a good strong salty and spicy flavoring. It's also not too runny like other ddeok bokki's I've had in the past. I was thoroughly surprised by that dish. Now back to the boneless chicken, just be extra careful on your first bite. It's oozing with juices and piping hot. I had to open a few ahead of time to peel the meat for my children. They loved it. Now, pro tip, I would order the original again and order a side of the flaming sauce. That was super sweet and spicy. The perfect compliment to the crunchy texture. I also ordered a side of the boned in wings and had the soy spicy flavor. That was really tasty. I would order beer next time bc these flavors were bold and needed a cold beer to cool down the heat. Now, the thing that impressed me the most were the crunch on every single piece of chicken. They are by far one of the most inquire flavors and texture combination I tried. One thing, that made me say, hey I'll come back here again, was their workers. My son accidentally dropped the fork and like a few parents, we would just pick it up and wipe it off and use it again. I know, not everyone will do that. If you have a toddler they can drop that fork like 4 times sometimes. Anyways, the waiter noticed that and quickly brought us a clean new fork. That's some fine dining detail that I have never experienced in a small restaurant before. Kudos for the wait staff on that. One item for improvement is to offer some carb options like rice or noodles. I know it's more bar or finger food, but can't really serve Asian food without rice.

I have a fish/seafood allergy and I appreciate them taking it seriously and letting me know which foods they recommended I stay away from although they did not know for certain. I wish they knew which dishes had fish/seafood so I knew for sure what was allergy safe, but I understand that it's impossible to know the ingredients of every dish. Ambiance 8/10 I've been coming here since the pandemic days when they had outdoor seating and it's always very neat, clean, and pretty quiet as well. There is plenty of parking and lots of other dessert, drink, and food places nearby. Even though it's almost 90 degrees outside, I've been craving their Yuk Gae Jang and can't wait till my next visit!
