The empanadas were frozen, not fresh, and placed in an air fryer. The drink made had tons of ice and just as much cinnamon. Personally, there was no balance. I did not enjoy it. The empanada choices: are spinach & artichoke, chicken, and vegetarian. The best was the vegetarian, then the chicken followed by the spinach and artichoke. In my honest opinion, for an $11.50 meal, you would have been better off grabbing a $3 bag of tostinos pizza rolls and coke from the dollar tree and being more filled and satisfied. I was not impressed and I honestly believe that the space has so much more potential to draw in a larger crowd if the food choices were improved.

The leather couch they have was so comfy, I wished I had more time to just sit and enjoy my drink with a good book. But even if you can't grab a spot on the couch, the chairs at the tables actually have cushioning, so if I was trying to sip and work, this is where I'd go. After a couple of minutes of studying the menu and deciding on my order, I politely tried to initiate the transaction. I looked at the barista--who was doing something behind the register--and asked, "Are you ready to take my order?" His actual, unfiltered response was, "I'm here, ain't I?" That was it. That was the entirety of my first and, I guarantee, last interaction with Vigo Coffee Shop. This shocking display of contempt and piss-poor customer service set the tone immediately. I was so taken aback by the sheer rudeness that I simply walked out. A coffee shop's product might be decent, but if the staff treats paying customers with such disdain, it doesn't matter how good the latte is. My first impression was one of absolute indifference and insolence, and it's enough to ensure I will never waste my time or money here again.
