This is very much a hole in the wall stop place to pickup. But let me tell you, its ono-lishous! Find a pretty location to sit at and you're set! I took my lunch to the beach and enjoyed the ocean while I ate. $11, good portion size, I got the lava bowl which was shrimp tempura and spicy ahi with avocado and rice; super satisfying! It comes with a drink too :) If you go, you should get the bread pudding. It's the best I've had. I savored every bite! The food is good. Service kinda slow. If you use credit card make sure to check if you are charge correctly because they automatically add tips. My bill suppose to be $39 but charge me $47. Our favorite sushi place in Kaneohe! Service was great, prices are fair, and the food quality was absolutely amazing! My absolute favorite things here were the salmon nigiri and the lava roll. Mayo and fresh onions really add some more layers onto your traditional salmon nigiri and the crunch from shrimp tempura in the lava roll was such a nice element that complemented our meal. This was some of the freshest tuna we've had on the island! My boyfriend loved the tuna nigiri, but overall the ahi pack was his favorite. The hamachi was also very good but in my opinion was outshined by how amazing the salmon and tuna were. Keep in mind it's takeout only and expect to wait about 20-30 minutes for your food depending on what you order! The cashier was so kind and was SO GENEROUS with giving us extra ginger and food recommendations. The ginger here comes in small individually packed pouches so expect to spend a significant amount of time opening packs of ginger if you like having one with every bite. The spam handrolls are huge compared to other places and the spam is semi crispy (personally my favorite way to eat spam)! The keiki ahi poke bowls are good sized, lots of onions so if your kids don't like onions, maybe ask for none. Teri burgers were sooooooo ono! Looking to try something different, i stumbled across Local boy sushi. I decided to try their top items which included the lava maki roll, cheese burger deluxe, and bread putting. Ordering via the yelp app was super easy and Delivery was suprisingly fast. It took about 40 minutes to arrive. The cheese burger, while nothing exciting to look at, reminded me of the ones I used to eat as a kid. They were tasty and simple. The lava sushi was delicious as well. You could definitely get the crunch from the tempura shrimp which added a layer of texture. I did notice that the rice used was different and not the traditional sushi rice normally used. It wasnt bad, just different. For me the winner was the bread putting. It was light, fluffy, and awesome. A must try!!!
