Purchased a new, fully insulated garage door. The installer seemed newer to the job. The door was noisy from the day of installation. We allowed time to use the door assuming it would settle on the track. Sounds like an old door. One of the wheels runs against the wall of the track and jumps where the 2 part track is joined. When I called, they said it would cost $99 to check it and they'd let me know the cost if anything not under warranty is needed. My 25 year old garage door installation from a different company in another property I own, still runs like brand new and super quiet...unlike this one. Disappointed. These doors aren't cheap. Added: In response to your response, yes, it's your company. And I was essentially given the only option of paying to come out and fix it, with possible addt'l charges when I called. So not interested in a remedy only because I posted my experience here. At the very least, you'll be better with future clients who spend $$$ on a door. Thank you. read more

I approved the estimate to repair/replace one broken spring after discussing replacing the opener. I had been experiencing some issues with the garage door sensors. They would detect some obstruction and would roll back the garage door up. But, after few adjustments, they would start working fine. However, last Wednesday I was not able to fix the sensors and I was running late for work. So, in an immediate need to get those fixed I contacted few businesses on yelp. I got an immediate response from Tyler and he quoted me $99 as service charges plus part replacement fee, if needed. Someone from his team came to fix the issue and I had my dad at home to take care of this service. Although the garage sensors are fixed, but I am diss-appointed by the business ethics. I was charged $100 for $10-20 sensors. So, in total I paid $205 in cash. The technician didn't even try to find the root cause or fine tune the sensors; instead he just offered to replace the sensors. The new sensors doesn't even have any brand name. Even the sensors of my garage door's brand name cost $36 at Lowes. They should follow ethical business model and be honest with customers. Before writing this review, I had messaged Tyler on Yelp, telling him about my disappointment and expecting an explanation. The same Tyler who was responding to my messages with 5 minutes when I initially contacted him, didn't respond at all. This is the first time I am giving a bad review to a business. Got quote, placed order (everything is online now) contract confirmation 12-5-21. Per contract can take 6-10 weeks. Good price ( within other quotes) tired of looking. No email updates, called company mid-February, told another 2-3 weeks. No updates, called, on current shipment (another 2 weeks)will contact to see-up delivery. Again no updates/emails. Another 2weeks. Back and forth like this until I mentioned refund (coincidence?). Received a phone call stating I will have a installation on April 22nd. The appointment was about 40 minutes late BUT it had rained and it's the Bay Area. The installer, Kyle, went straight to work, did a great job (took time to adjust a gap) cleanup and haul away. I would highly recommend Local Garage to service your noisy, clunky or otherwise annoying garage door issues. I lived with all of the above for several years before I finally requested a "Lube and Tune" service call. I was hoping the service would alieviate the problems, especially since the door was only 7 yrs old. They did not disapoint! While there was also a problem with the cable tension the service man went over - in detail - what needed to be done. My garage door is a $16,000 3,000 wall. The fools who installed it put a Mickey Mouse Motor on it. These guys came out and for an hour tried to put some lube, spit, and elbow grease into it. He said, "I can't think of a reason to charge you" which is why I had them charge me. I got great, honest advice with that "Christ on a crutch I gotta tell a client he's SOL and I'll do it as nicely as I can" position/face! The tech arrived later than the window of time they had initially given me. When he came to the house he wasn't wearing his mask and I had to ask him to wear it while in my home. I had to replace my springs and cables. I was told typically this would be around $275-$300 however this cost me $475! I wasn't pleased with the cost but I needed to get this done ASAP.
