I love this place, either for dinner or better yet brunch. I have never had any issues with service or the food. The last time I came was for brunch on the patio. I literally tried 3 different dishes as I was interested in so much. One of which was there tacos which were excellent. Only complaint that I have is that there was only 2 of them and for $12 that seems like a little much for it. Also had biscuits and gravy along with french toast. They were both good, but I would like to try some of their other brunch items next time! read more

This is a nice trendy little spot. Clean and friendly. Which is why I gave them 2 stars. That and the Chef was willing to do an off menu vegetarian meal for me. But there in lines the problem. 1. My two girls had the New York steak and both were under cooked, and very poor cuts. They left half the steak on the plate for so much grizzle. And on top of that they were $30 steaks. Way too high of a price for a place like this. 2. No vegetarian or vegan meals. Again, a little spot being trendy should offer something for that crowd. 3. Their idea of a salad was some arugula two cherry tomatoes and oil/vinegar. No onion, no peppers, apples, nuts, or anything else. Again, if you are going to have a trendy restaurant, put some effort into the food beyond the 7 or 8 meals on the menu. Sorry. A friend and I met for dinner and wine and we were beyond impressed. The service is great, the food is delicious (Lobster Tacos, Chicken Cordon Bleu, and the New York steak) , and the wine list was awesome. We will be back often! read more

We had reservations for 6:30. Arrived a little early. The hostess advised the table was not quite ready, and for us to take a seat at a couple awkward wooden chairs by the door. And we sat there for 15 minutes, while the staff ignored us. At no point did it look like a table was going to be ready. So either they gave away our table or just scheduled poorly. Either way, there was no apology or even any level of communication expressed to explain the delay. We were the only people waiting. Frankly, it appeared that no one was in charge and the staff was inattentive young adults. At 6:40, we walked out. The place is not as sophisticated as its menu and website would have you believe. It seems to be like when Budweiser tries to make a microbrew. In sum, we won't go back despite it being close to our home. read more

Friendly service right when we walked in the door, even though we were the jerks that showed up an hour before closing. We ordered the poutine as an appetizer. It was delicious. I got the bison hash and boyfriend ordered the shrimp risotto. Both tasted excellent and were beautifully presented. The bison hash comes with candied peppers which adds a great contrast to the saltiness of the rest of the dish. Boyfriend was very pleased with the shrimp risotto (I'm not a shrimp fan, but the risotto was done perfectly). We will definitely be coming back to try brunch. read more

Nice addition to the Billings Westend. They could give any of the more established trendy places in the neighborhood or downtown a tip or two on what a cool hip trendy menu is like. Nice choices. Great selection of beer and wine. Probably the only downside is that they are in a pretty small place and hopefully they eventually expand or find a bigger place. Once the weather is warmer I'm sure they'll make use of their patio again. I always forget to make reservations and I've been lucky to have been able to get a seat at the bar facing the cooks which is fun to watch them hustle. Good place with interesting food selections! Nice to know the food is locally sourced and the atmosphere is great. Dishes can be a bit smaller and pricier and there are very few options typically for vegetarians. Breakfast on the weekends is amazing! read more

Heard so many good things about this restaurant so we tried it. Nice ambiance and the service was excellent...but the food was not quite what we had hoped. The omelet was small and just a sprinkle of cheese on top. The bread it came with looked so good but tasted like it had been set on a grill and just tasted of grill grease--no flavor. This is a great little restaurant in Billings and a nice addition to the west end. I've been to the restaurant several times. I had the Mac and Cheese Pie and it was delicious and so unique! I've never had poor service and think their menu is creative and tasty. The crab cakes are a must-try and the bison hash is favorite. Bonus, this place has a nice wine list with reasonable pricing. read more

I want to give this place 4 stars, but it's not deserving. The food is decent, but not great and the bar is pretty much non-existent. Yes, they have decent beer and wine, but a great restaurant needs a great bartender. I've been here twice and sat at the bar both times. I had the same waiter on both visits - I can't complain about the service. The food though is just not quite there yet. It's a little too bland and the entree portions are underwhelming. If you're going to skimp on the portions, your presentation and flavor better be through the f-Ing roof. Had the ravioli and poutine the first time and the bison hash and cheesecake tonight. If I had the poutine and cheesecake in one visit, this place gets 4 stars. However, entrees should be the stars, not the appetizers and desserts. Kosher salt needs a more prominent role in this restaurant. I give this place kudos for their concept, but they need to focus on one thing - entree execution. read more

Ambiance was very nice but the food was poorly prepared and the service, which was well-intenioned, was bumbling at best. My wife and I sat at a table that was on the very pleasant patio. Our server was courteous but lacked sufficient knowledge to do his job properly. My wife asked about some of the different beers on tap and was told that he, the server did not drink beer and so didn't know anything about the beers that the restaurant he worked in sold. He did, however, provide samples of several beers so my wife could choose We ordered an appetizer, the mussels, which were tasty, but no bread was served with them, a standard accompaniment with this dish in all the restaurants I've ever been in. The mussels came with an odd looking dip that was tasty. We overheard a man at a nearby table ask what this dip was, and the server, our server, said he didn't know but that he would find out. When the appetizer plates were cleared away, we were left with our used knives and forks and no place to put them. So we put them on the table and then asked for new, clean ones, which were provided. I had the roast chicken, claimed to be 1/2 of a chicken on the menu. I received two pieces of chicken with some kind of sauce on them, a breast and a leg. They were so small that I thought that they must be from a rock cornish game hen. Both were extremely overcooked, dry and tough, very unappetizing, and hardly one half of a chicken. It was accompanied with some sort of polenta-like pancake which was, fortunately, tasty. My wife ordered the lamb shank. It came with batter- fried onion rings, disgusting looking things positioned on the bone of the shank like the finish of some ring toss game. These things were horrible to eat, which my wife did not attempt after an initial sampling. The lamb, like the chicken, was overcooked and so was dry and tough. Her mashed potatoes were edible, but swamped by some sort of sauce that was as tasty as the veal. Our server, a very nice man trying to please, simply was not up to the task. When he poured additional water for my wife he spilled some which passed through the mesh top of the table onto my wife's foot. He said "Ooops." When he served beer to the table next to us he also spilled some the beer onto the table which also went through the mesh top and, presumably onto the foot of one those unfortunate diners. We heard his "Ooops" in response. With beer and wine our tab was almost $100! read more
