Service was really attentive...I got the feeling that staff hasn't tasted the menu because our waitress had a hard time recommending anything on the menu. My husband and I ordered the potato appetizer and it was absolutely delicious. A definite update to potato skins. My salad was very tasty. I've been to Local Public Eatery Henderson twice--surprisingly. The first visit didn't go well at all. My friend and I were added to the waitlist for a table for two, but we never received a text, a call, anything. After nearly two hours of waiting and checking in, the hostess (who was unfortunately quite rude and dismissive) told us to go elsewhere for a drink and food. It felt like we were being shrugged off--really disappointing, especially since we were genuinely excited to try the place. Fast forward to my second visit--against my better judgment, we gave it another shot. This time, we went during a weekday lunch and were seated quickly. We ordered two local wheat beers and chicken kale salads. The vibe was great--airy, relaxed, and welcoming, and our server was kind and attentive. But despite the calm lunch crowd (we were one of only four tables), the food took forever to arrive. For salads. At a nearly empty restaurant. I'm torn. There's a lot of potential here--the ambiance is spot on, and our second server was lovely--but the hospitality is hit or miss, and that first experience with the hostess left a lasting impression. It wouldn't have taken much to offer a simple update or apology, instead of radio silence and attitude. I might give it one more try, but I'm definitely cautious. Absolutely fantastic, I was the first person in our group to finish eating because it was some of the best steak I've ever had and I had never thought to combine steak with dumplings, gochujang, and gingery soy sauce. Huge fan of this dish. I saw that it had never been reviewed so wanted everyone to know, it is totally worth the price. Server was excellent. She handled my food allergy very well. Drinks were great and whoever answered the phone when I called before was also fantastic. Highly recommend the place. Very cool vibes and decoration. Came here for happy hour with some friends on a Wednesday. Super cute vibe both inside and out! We sat outside. I got the happy hour beef tacos and peach rum slush. No complaints about either, both very delicious and a great deal with the happy hour special! The tacos alone are not a full meal but totally fine as a snack with drinks. Our service was so nice and willing to get a new drink for a friend who didn't like what she ordered. My only warning/complaint is that most of the large parking lot is sectioned off for $7 valet so it can be hard to park for free. There are only about 15 free self parking spots available and most were already full at 3pm on a Wednesday so it's probably even more difficult at peak hours. Tried out this new spot & enjoyed the food and drinks. It was busy for a Monday evening. We anticipated the food service may take a long time after reading previous reviews but we received our food and drinks quickly. We ordered a burger with some modifications but it came out without the changes. The wait staff was quick to take it back and comped us for the mistake. Since the restaurant is new, there weren't a lot of pics on yelp so I was nervous to try the chicken sandwich. It seems like every place these days has a fried chicken sandwich but this one was really good (& spicy). It was also nice that this spot has a designated set of non-alcoholic drinks on the menu (although some of the mocktails seemed a bit overpriced). The wait staff and management is very attentive and nice, but they're still working through some opening kinks. I'll expect them to be great after that. We went during happy hour and the mini-tiny espresso is basically an espresso shot (delish) for $7. There are a few great cocktails for HH - highly recommend the Casanova's Guava spicy margarita. I haven't eaten here yet but the pizzas looked good! I was hoping for more of an Ice House feel but it's a little more upscale than that. I love this place and come quite frequently (and I'm a rewards member!), never disappointed, but today I'm just confused. I decided to switch it up and order the steak sandwich but to my surprise, there was absolutely no sandwich in sight. I wish I took a picture, but instead I'll describe it to you. The plate came to the table and in front of me sat a full, unsliced steak plopped on top of a peice of garlic toast. It was also supposed to have caramelized onions but they were absent as well. That's it! I need someone to explain to me how that's a sandwich... I had to slice the steak myself, cut the toast in half, and build my own so I could eat it. Now granted it was good, but it definitely wasn't what I thought I was ordering. It might be time to change that name on the menu. read more

I feel like edamame can be bland, but LPE does it well! I ordered the Hueves Rancheros for my entree & woah! It was absolutely delicious & the perfect size. My friend had the Truffle Burger and couldn't stop raving about how good it was too. The restaurant has giant garage doors to let fresh air flow through & plenty of tvs to watch your favorite sports. I have been coming to LOCAL since its opening. This restaurant brings so much energy to the neighborhood. Although the valet service is its own entity the staff is very nice. Enough parking for days they are not there. Service is quick and friendly. They still remain quick and detailed even on big games when there is a lot of people coming to hangout. Mangers are very attentive and friendly as well! If you can get reservations on the weekend! It gets pretty busy when the weather feels amazing outside. Love the food here, never getting empty as portions are the best bang for you buck. This place can either be a very fun and casual date night, great lunch happy hour or a family outing. It's open pretty late which is nice for any last minute late night bites! Plenty of TV's for sports fan inside and outside on the patio. They have retractable awning to protect from the weather and even to hold off wind. Super dog friendly here as well! read more

We recently moved to the Henderson area and checking out LPE was at the top of our list, duh! We decided to go for lunch on Saturday afternoon and took our pup with us, so we sat in the patio. The patio was lively, lots of folks watching college football and enjoying their Saturday with friends. We ordered the spicy chicken quesadilla and the mushroom pizza with truffle ranch. The quesadilla was so good, we thoroughly enjoyed the filling. It was tasty and perfectly crispy. The pizza was tasty, we appreciated the pesto and unique nature of the mushroom pizza, but felt it was too floppy/thin for its own good. Love a good thin pizza, but this one was breaking before we could even lift or fold it in half. The truffle ranch was very flavorful and truffle forward, but a bit salty for my liking. Our favorite new spot in Dallas!! Food and atmosphere are unmatched. Service was great despite them being slammed, we loved our bartender. Cocktails were great with some NA options, as well as espresso martinis on tap (quality still remains even on tap). We had the pork tacos, fish tacos, and the Couscous salad. The absolute worst service by the manager and hostess. We waited for an over an hour getting multiple drinks at the bar playing shuffle board waiting for our table. At halftime of the game half the restaurant bailed and they're at least 7 empty tables and we were second from being seated. We end up finding a table in the bar of multiple tables that got up during halftime and sat down and ordered an appetizer from our server... chatted with her and she was phenomenal (elle) then the manager came over and told us the table we sat at of the 7 additional that were open was reserved. This table had planned on sitting there all game but got up bc it was a blow out and she's going to tell us it was reserved which was a complete lie. After work, we stopped by a local pub eatery and loved it! They had excellent happy hour specials on both food and drinks. I kicked things off with a margarita, which was fantastic. For my meal, I had the chicken sandwich and fries--both were delicious. As a ranch lover, I was thrilled to find they had an amazing truffle ranch. The design concept seems very plain here. It seems like they want to be a sports bar but also a nice dining location. In trying to hit both they miss each. The tv locations are poor and the food left a lot to be desired. We ordered wings and they came out cold and certainly were the smallest wings I had seen in my life (no carrots/celery or fries come with the wings that are $16 fyi). The wings pictured below were maybe the size of my pinky finger (don't have big hands either). The other plates we got looked great aesthetically but the underlying ingredients were old/prepped and stuffed in a fridge a week ago waiting to be used. The drinks were good, but overpriced. Service was good overall but it bugged me greatly that the waitress wouldn't show us a receipt prior to paying. They simply ran the check in the tablet then shove the tip option in your face. They said they refunded our food because it wasn't made well but after asking for the ticket they actually just charged me twice and credited it back once. There are tons of walkable options from this location that are better for watching games or dining or both. It may be over-leased as well which will certainly affect the quality of food and service over time so be cautious. read more
