Had a wonderful experience here, everything we ordered was excellent. The steak was perfectly cooked, the chicken was flavorful, the wedge salad was fresh and crisp, and the brownie was the perfect finish. Definitely recommend making a reservation because it was busy!

Located right in the middle of Jackson Hole Square! Delicious food, friendly staff, and rustic but modern ambiance. Prices are a bit high but it's because it's located in the middle of all the action in town especially for all the tourist. You can't go wrong with anything you get here. Highly recommend to anyone and make sure to make a reservation ahead of time especially for dinner times.

Another night without reservations but was able to grab seats at the bar. Fun, engaging staff and nice people seated in the area. Fun environment. Can't beat the happy hour special with half priced cocktails. Fun times :-). Asked to turn the TV channel to the baseball game and they happily obliged. Couple next to us raved about the steak frites. Hangar steak with a chimichurri sauce and fries. Steak was very flavorful and the sauce was a good add. Fries were just ok.

Chill local spot. Friendly and attentive staffs! Chili's was good but hope it comes with Frittos. Bone Marrow was fine but the tomato sauce that came with it pairs great with grilled focaccia.

The food, the service and the decor were fantastic. Our waitress, Chelsea, was outstanding. We had the charcuterie board, a couple drinks, elk medallions and elk chop. This food was amazingly delicious.

    Cutest drink menu.

Had a great experience here. Burgers were great, drinks were wonderful, service was great and such a cozy spot to be inside in a snowy day. We'd totally return!

I am crying...simply because I don't live anywhere near here and likely will need to wait several years to have it again. My husband and I couldn't get a reservation - so we stopped by close to 6PM on a Friday; we were told they'd put us on the list for the bar only, but we had to stick around, as they wouldn't call/text us. We decided it was worth the try and ended up only waiting about 20 minutes. First, I laughed that all their seasonal cocktails were named for Happy Gilmore references - but the two that I tried were refreshing and light. For food, we shared a caesar salad, which was great. Then, we shared one of their nightly specials - of course, a steak. It was truly, the best steak I've ever had in my life - the perfectly seared crust and the flaky sea salt? Absolutely divine. For sides, we did the wild mushrooms and potato gratin. I wish we'd gotten the mashed potatoes, as the gratin was a bit on the dry side - but was still tasty. Finally, we ended the sticky toffee pudding and vanilla ice cream. YUM! The caramel sauce was truly so divine, I wanted to like it off the plate. The bartenders were attentive, fun and answered all our questions with ease. Truly such a fun spot for a date night in Jackson.

Doesn't Live Up to the Hype While planning our Jackson trip, I wanted a memorable dining experience and booked Local based on rave reviews. Sadly, it was mostly a letdown. The host wasn't welcoming, and the place was so loud our server had to shout. We ordered several dishes, hoping the high prices meant high quality. My soup was delicious, but the sweet corn and asparagus risotto (the ONLY! GF and vegetarian entrée) was sticky, undercooked, and flavorless -- I had to send it back. My husband liked his Caprese salad, but the Buffalo Wellington was tiny, underwhelming, and overpriced. Our daughter was satisfied with her buffalo Bolognese, but overall, the food was hit or miss. The vibe and hype don't match the reality -- there are definitely better hidden gems in Jackson that won't leave you feeling disappointed (or overcharged).

If you are headed to Jackson Hole proper, check this place out. The service, food and drinks were excellent. We started with a shrimp cocktail and bread. Shrimp were large, cocktail sauce needed more horseradish, bread was fresh. Cocktails were on point. Nice whiskey selection too. My elk T-bone was delicious. Not gamey, very mild, super tender. My girlfriend's risotto was cooked perfectly with great flavor. Sides were also good. The bread pudding could use some work, it was a little bland. Not gonna ding them though. Check this place out if you are in downtown Jackson Hole!

The Local on the Square was a surprisingly enjoyable dining experience. I was expecting a more touristy atmosphere. The interior of the restaurant had very classic gastropub feel with a modern twist. I ordered a ribeye steak cooked medium rare. It was delicious and cooked two order although I had to add a little bit more pepper just round out the overall flavor profile. The truffle mac & cheese was super delicious. Huckleberry old-fashioned I had was pretty good. It tasted more like a regular old-fashioned versus a "huckleberry" old-fashioned which is kind of disappointing since I was eager to try it. Service was good. Despite being sat at the bar the bartender only checked in about 3 times. But I get it since the restaurant was fairly busy but the food was delicious and I had a good time.

Still great! The service, the food, the libations. We thoroughly enjoy Local when in town.

First night in Jackson Hole! We made reservations for three to try one of the "best steaks" in town ... and the restaurant had such a great vibe. Inside felt rustic yet classic, with a western dressy-casual feel. We didn't feel underdressed at all, still rocking our boots and jean jackets! We were celebrating my husband's 50th and started with the Focaccia, warm, soft, and served with delicious compound butter. We could've easily eaten another round! We also tried the Herb Roasted Bone Marrow with roasted tomato vinaigrette ...absolutely melted in our mouths. My husband ordered the 14 oz Elk Steak, which was tender but felt small and overpriced. My teen and I ordered the 14 oz Ribeye, and we shared Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes...both were excellent sides. Our waiter was just okay. He seemed more focused on the larger table behind us ordering bottles of wine, so our table felt overlooked. It took quite a while for him to come back, and by the time he asked about dessert, we just requested the check. Because of the service, the overall experience felt just okay -- the steaks were good, but not worth the price or the attitude.

Is there a dress code? Or is it pretty casual (jeans & nice shirt)?

Casual was accepted. During the summer, many customers wear shorts and sandals at lunch.

    Are reservations necessary?

When we went in the fall, reservations were necessary. You can try to grab a seat at the bar, but it's pretty jam packed.

Filet was perfectly cooked to my medium request, tender, and perfectly seasoned. They tout USDA prime meats, and I have no doubt that's what they serve. Hubs ordered his steak be served on their 600 degree salt block, and he was a bit hesitant that it could easily be overcooked. It arrived at the table, he removed the steak from the extremely hot salt block and each piece he placed back on the salt block before eating. I actually did the same with several pieces of my steak. I was amazed at the additional flavor this salt block added to an already delicious filet! Our shared sides were very good, too. My husband, the cookie lover, ordered the chocolate chip cookie à la mode which is served fresh from the oven in a small cast iron skillet. I had a hard time keeping my spoon out of his delicious dessert - so glad he shares. We were seated quickly and our server was very helpful making recommendations. The so called General Tso steak sauce was like a thimbleful smear and completely irrelevant. BBQ Ramen seasoning? Not even enough to get a taste profile of it. The trout with a green curry sauce was good but again, ummmm.... Trout has a subtle flavor. Green curry coconut sauce, and stuffed with another type of Asian something something....might as just as well better to use a neutral tasting fish like a better quality tilapia imho. Let trout taste like trout. Use a different, neutral tasting fish for these kinds of sauces and fillings. Well at least it wasn't covered with a garnish of micro greens lol. Just a little cilantro heh heh heh. I mean don't get me wrong. Both entrees were okay. But a waste of quality fish when a less costly fish would have been fine what with all those other flavors. And the foam and powder embellishments on the steak were barely noticeable. The whole menu reads like a community college cooking school graduate little bit of this little bit of that. When I get home I'm going to have fun writing the different components of all the menu items on index cards, shuffle, and see what combinations come up each time. And I love the idea of a General Tso steak sauce and want to try creating one. And using a packet of Ramen seasoning instead of Cajun seasoning sounds like a fun thing to try. I just won't do it on a fifty dollar piece of meat. If you are counting calories you skip the gross doughnut hole dessert. Dense ball of dough. Gummy. Like they used a cake doughnut recipe instead of a yeast doughnut or beignet recipe. But if not counting calories , go for it. It's fun to try the sauces, even if not that great a doughnut. Great, festive, lively ambiance . Super friendly staff and service.

Our server, Jorge, was friendly, attentive, and quick throughout the evening. My companion also enjoyed an Old Fashioned--it was well made and satisfying, although not memorable enough to order a second. Unfortunately, the food and service experience quickly went downhill. I ordered "The Grand" Surf & Turf, which was advertised as a 6-ounce Lot 29 prime sirloin with green peppercorn sauce, a 4-ounce lobster tail with drawn butter, and Brussels sprouts. Instead, I was served perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful Brussels sprouts alongside a massive ribeye--with no lobster tail and no green peppercorn sauce. After taking a few bites, I realized I hadn't received what I ordered. When I pointed it out, Jorge apologized, explained the kitchen had made a mistake, and immediately had a lobster tail prepared, which ended up being excellent. My companion ordered the bison ribs with mashed potatoes. What we overlooked was that the ribs were completely smothered in barbecue sauce. Unfortunately, the sauce tasted more like sweet ketchup than barbecue, completely overpowering the meat and making the dish unenjoyable. The biggest disappointment came when the bill arrived. Rather than simply charging me for the Surf & Turf I originally ordered, they charged me for the full ribeye ($68) plus an additional lobster tail ($24). The entire reason I ordered the Surf & Turf was because it was $69, included both steak and lobster, and I knew I didn't want such a large steak. The additional cost wasn't really the issue--it was the principle. The mistake was entirely the restaurant's, yet we were initially billed for it. To make matters worse, my card had already been charged before I had a chance to review the bill, forcing me to ask for the charges to be corrected. While they did adjust the bill, there was no courtesy discount, no apology from management, and no manager ever came to our table to acknowledge or address the mistakes. For a restaurant with this reputation and price point, I expected much better customer service and recovery when things went wrong. It's unfortunate because we had been looking forward to dining here ever since driving past it on our way to breakfast. The stunning view and Jorge's kindness couldn't make up for the kitchen errors, billing issues, and lack of management response. Sadly, we won't be returning, nor would we recommend Gun Barrel Steak House to friends or family.

We had three "Per la Travola" and "Antipasti" followed by a few Primi and Secondi. The crostini was a perfectly toasted slice of baguette with a pillow of sweet and nutty ricotta. Amazing! The fork tender lamb tenderloin was served on 2 skewers with mojo verde, Spanish aoili, and pickled red onions on crisp baguette slices. Another Homerun! The menu changes frequently and the tapas allow you to try several different delectable dishes. It encourages sharing and forces you to open up and try different dishes. Hands-down my favorite food and conversation while visiting Jackson, WY. To the staff here at Binn 22, congrats on a unique and completely fabulous dinner and concept. I can't wait to return and try many other options on a truly innovative menu. If you haven't been here, only one word, WHY?

The vibe here is super cute and full of character -- I took so many pictures because the decor alone makes this place worth stopping by. We came in with a pretty large group of about 20 Baddies, and even with the crowd, the staff was quick and friendly. Some of our group stayed here while others headed out to eat, but this was the perfect little spot to relax, people watch, and hang out with the locals. They've got pool tables, bar seating on both sides, and round tables if you just want to sit, chat, and enjoy your drinks. Definitely a fun stop while visiting the area! And don't forget to stop by the steakhouse downstairs, unfortunately it wasn't open when we got there but hopefully on our next trip as it opens at 4a d after hiking and up since 2am we didn't wanna wait, but you should!

So yummy and the waters were amazing!! Came back up at 10ish and the vibes changed lol it was beyond packed and so unfortunate that the restaurant and bar share a restrooms took over 25 minutes. Still fun later at night but it was packed,, everyone was sweating and you could barely move around so we stayed like and hour and then called it a night. Very funn night though!! Overall 4.5/5 stars!!

The menu has some really great, and healthy options! Even my hubby tried a salad and really liked it. The portions were filling too. The view from the top deck was mesmerizing. There is outdoor patio seatinf on the ground floor too and more seating inside than looks possible. The service was spot in. Iced tea stayed full and she came around just enough to check un amd not make us feel rushed. Definitely a must try spot while Jackson!

I ordered some drinks first, which came out very quickly. The beer flights were soo good and at an appropriate cost. I picked a ton and liked every one. I also ordered some food. I shared the watermelon salad, buffalo cauliflower, and elk pasta with another. I thought all of it was pretty good. The food felt a bit cheaper than other places around town, maybe by a few dollars. Our waitress was very busy, as the entire restaurant was packed. She came by rarely, but was friendly. I do wish she had come by more often to refill our waters. I'd definitely come back and try more beer and food!
