As one of the only restaurants in town, there aren't many options, but I was hoping for a good burger. The burger I had was mediocre at best. It was dry and thin. The menu stated the bacon was smoked, but it was overcooked and tasted like regular bacon to me. The fries were warm, but I was hoping for fresh cut but these were definitely from a bag. My partner ordered the Doritos taco salad, but it came out with just cold chopped up hamburger and plain corn chips, no Doritos even in sight. We asked for salsa to make it more of a taco salad, but it was nothing as described on the menu. Maybe the pizza is good, but we were not impressed with our food on this trip. read more

Food was good (thanks chefs!) and food runners were nice and fast and the drinks were kinda strong and cheapish but server/bartender was not particularly helpful or welcoming... definitely understaffed though they were sending their coworkers home. Place has no real vibe but they are priced like a fun after ski spot or nicer restaurant. Bartender was kind of abrasive to other guests who were acting normally for some reason maybe try it out if you live near by and want to mix it up but i wouldn't say we had a good experience and i think the place is overpriced foodwise. A big group of us met at West Side Yard for an early dinner while in the area. Our server was great; she handled our group of eight people well and our food all came out pretty quickly. I got the chicken gruyere sandwich on brioche instead of focaccia. Nate ordered the Cuban. The food was tasty! I really liked the brioche bun better than focaccia for the sandwich. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the fries were battered and crispy. I had leftovers of the sandwich the next day, and it was still very good, even cold. I didn't love the canned huckleberry hard seltzer I had, but everything else about the meal was five stars. There's a nice outdoor space with seating and a yard for kids to run around and play in. There aren't a ton of options in the area, but I'd stop by West Side Yard again if I was visiting. read more

This is a very nice burger and bar but we're pleasantly surprised they serve tacos and pizza as well. The service is relaxed but the waitress was attentive to our needs so no complaints. Food was served hot and at a good pace with our drinks. The ambiance is perfect for conversations within our table as they had countryesque (is that a word?) music playing so no one could hear our conversation a table away. Looks like the spent a pretty penny on the welded chairs and restaurant buildout. Overall, a decent place to grab drinks and grub. My husband and I eat here every summer when we drive through Victor. It's the best food, indoor, outdoor seating and awesome staff! Last year we watched the NBA playoffs this year it was golf and soccer. Lots of TVs with quality pictures. The iron artwork is absolutely phenomenal and the old bus in the yard is iconic. Now for the staff we chose to sit at the bar and we were lucky enough to draw Brett as our bartender he's a great mixologist. Brett is just a pleasant person for conversation with a servants heart. He has that magnet personality whether you are a local Or a tourist he likes people. (That always makes my husband happy. ) Now before I close we initially sat outside where Lucey welcomed us with a sit anywhere you'd like. She quickly served us waters, gave us menus...when we asked if it was ok to move indoors she responded with absolutely. We appreciated Lucey's warm welcome. Expected better of this place after reading the reviews. However, I thought the food was average and the service below that. Our waitress could not have been less interested in being there. I get it, you hate your job, that's not my fault though. Beside that it felt like pulling teeth to get stuff, a straw, a knife to cut my food?? It was crazy. This establishment is a zero star JOKE. They should have taken the money that they put towards " renovating " and just bulldozed it into the ground instead. MAGGIE the bartender is an absolute childish fool. Completely rude on the phone and likes to hang up and then refuses to answer OH, and then puts the phone on do not disturb so no calls can go through to the restaurant. Way to lose business sweetheart. But I guess it's not like you care, you already have a bad attitude and obviously don't give a crap about your job or paying customers. Honestly I'd hate to be the person that orders a drink from you, you're probably SPITTING in them when your pissed off. Unfortunately, That's definitely the type of tweaker Vibe you give off. Also the general manager in charge as of August 2023, is completely incompetent and could care less what happens at the restaurant. Half effort apologies and not willing to make the necessary Corrections towards an incredibly nightmare experience is just unacceptable. All around Customer service is in the trash at this low quality hole in the wall. Last time we came in with a party of four, total table a little under $300...our server "G Esbedy" was very rude and had no clue how to serve. No kindness, no Smiles, no greeting. Couldn't remember anything we ordered. Very laxidaseal. Only visited the table once or twice. Maybe she was high? She definitely looked like a deer in headlights with a bad attitude. Food was disgusting last time. Chicken wings were ice cold, burgers were dry and overcooked, and onion rings were very oily and soggy. Also, word to the wise.... if you'd like a cocktail, it will at least be a minimum of 30 minutes... even if there's only one other table in the whole entire restaurant being served. At that point, might as well hop behind the bar and make it yourself. At least it would be made with love instead of hatred by Maggie. Remember folks , check for floaties in your drinks! So we've been coming to WSY for three years now, at least. We've noticed a recent dearth of familiar menu items. No steak now, seems like burgers only. No music this year either, no server consistency, and I've not seen the back room open once. The property is amazing, but the menu seems to decline every season and there's no discernable consistency to the wait or bar staff. I'm becoming more disappointed with each visit, which sucks because as a local I want to enjoy it. I haven't lately. Go north to Driggs, much better establishments await. Everything was awesome! Hit this place up on our first night in town. Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. My husband and dad were in awe over the beautiful structure and craftsmanship of the furniture. Fun outdoor area. My son was playing with some other boys and had so much fun. Upon exiting, we stopped to look at the outside of the building and noticed a flier for an event over the weekend. As we were talking about making sure to return, a gentleman came put to give us a flier. Found out he was the owner and talked to him for some time. Found out about the ideas behind the designs. There is indoor and outdoor seating and accommodation for large parties. The inside is a cowboy haven as all the furniture is made of beautiful wood and iron ..very rustic. If you want only drinks, the large bar and cozy couches are available. The food was superb! I got the grilled chicken sandwich and the spring rolls. Ate here for dinner one night while staying in Victor and visiting grand Teton. It was SO good. My boyfriend and I split the balsamic strawberry salad added chicken and the black n blue burger. The salad was very fresh and was a great compliment to the burger. The burger was AMAZING. I don't know what it was but this was one of the best burgers I've had. First time checking out WSY. The first impression was how cold the bar felt. Then I noticed the big "garage" door going out to the deck was still open from the earlier sunny day. It's still winter. It was now past sundown. I asked if I could close it. The friendly bartender said he would get it. He did. He was also our server, so he took our order...Arugula Romaine Strawberry-Beet Salad with vinegrette, the West Side Burger, and another WS burger but no bun (gluten-free). The bar was full, but tables where we sat were empty. We were the only ones eating. After about 20-25 mins of wait time, we asked bartender if we could start on the salad we ordered. "OH yea," as he seemed to realize he had forgotten about our order. He came back with our burgers. He asked if we had ordered a Caeser's salad? Umm, no. He went back to the kitchen and brought back our salad. Meanwhile, we started eating. My burger is possibly the worst burger ever. Patty was overcooked, dry, crunchy, cold, and the bun was crunchy and dry. My friend's bunless burger was worse. Hockey puck. Her sweet potato fries cold. The salad had basically 2 pieces of arugula, and beets were minced so small it was impossible to get on the fork. It sure seemed the food was forgotten under the heat lamp in the kitchen. The salad who knows what happened. After about 20 more minutes, the bartender checked in finally. In a nice way, I told hem every thing was terrible. To his credit, we were not charged. However, now it's just us 2 and 4 people at the bar. We had to wait 15 more mins to get our bill, as the bartender talked to the patrons at the bar. Burger was supposed to be $17, gluten-free burger $15, and salad $16. I would go back to have a drink at the bar, but I will never eat there again. read more

There's honestly no reason this place doesn't deserve a 5-star. This restaurant/bar/event space would thrive in any market, and Victor, ID doesn't deserve a place this great! I guess each city has a hidden gem and I was so happy to discover this one. The servers are incredibly nice. They had just closed their kitchen when we showed up, but they ended up opening it back up and serving us. The food was absolutely amazing. I went with the BLT which was a shredded pork belly, and it was phenomenal. All the food we got was great and you have to get the jalapeño popper egg rolls as an appetizer. The drinks are great. There's a large selection of liquor and the bar itself is a piece of art. The beer choices are very vast, and there's something for every beer connisour. Please check this place out. The tacos did not impress me nor could the server tell me how the meat was prepared. The service indoors seems to be 2nd or 3rd even, to those outside... and after our 1 beer each and still eating some wings and just about to eat the fries (that seemed pretty slow to get to us, like 10+ minutes for fried food, come on) our server asked if we wanted our check rather than asking if we wanted more booze or food. We had a beer each (ok, I also managed to get a 2nd beer and total of 5-6 wings...SOOOO, if you go to WSY, DO NOT SIT INSIDE aside from the bar, seems that is tended well by the bar tender... wings were great but seemed less than a pound as advertised and Fries with EVERYTHING were fantastic. This was the worst service I may have ever had at a restaurant or bar. We ordered two drinks that tasted awful upon first sip. We returned them and ordered two other drinks which we drank. When we got the bill we were charged for all 4 drinks. The day I walked in I knew I had found my oasis. The staff welcomed me in like family. I had not felt a warmth like this in Idaho. My bartender made a bloody Mary that would make a grown man melt. I chopped it up with all the locals and felt like I was at home. I ordered a West side yard burger that would put anything else in thus valley to shame. Holy moly. The food here is some of the best I've had, and I love good food! We started with the Jalapeño Popper Spring rolls; these are an appetizer that dreams are made of! Perfectly hot and crisp, and the dipping sauce perfectly complimented the flavor. Delightful! Then my husband had the Reuben, which had thick slices of corned beef with fresh sauerkraut and cheese, on homemade rye. Amazing. I had the Chicken Gruyère, and oh my word, so good! It was complimented with balsamic onions, and the focaccia was perfection. I seriously cannot praise the food here enough. And the service was great as well!
