I was so excited to try this restaurant because the reviews are excellent and I am new to the area. They have minimal GF options and the server knew none of the answers. The server was very nice and also very slow. The spinach and artichoke dip lacked flavor and the side salad had more grated carrots than anything but the ranch was really really good. My husband said the chicken sandwich was three stars and my daughter said the burger was better without the bun. It doesn't look like we will be returning. read more

Four of us tried it. The appetizer was very good and the other three people enjoyed their meal. I ordered the salmon and asked for it to be medium rare. After taking a few bites, I realized it was only slightly cooked and asked for it to be medium rare. The server took it away. Despite two promises they were rushing it, it didn't arrive before the other three were done with their meal. The fries are worse than garbage, not crispy, weird strange texture and a off-putting rotten flavor. The ranch, both jalapeño and regular are the consistency of water. The green beans taste like you were the last person to grab some at a Golden Coral buffet. The mashed potatoes are good. So pack a lunch and order some mashed potatoes. No seriously.... Don't come here. Starve to death before eating here...... what a dumpster fire.... Thank goodness I brought my own cocktail. The server was ok at best. read more

Our party of three stopped by for dinner. We started with baked goat cheese and shrimp ceviche. The two appetizers were absolutely delicious. The ceviche was one the best we had in greater Houston area. We would go back just for shrimp ceviche. The waiter brought us extra garlic breads to scoop up that heavenly goat cheese. We continued with burger, meat loaf, and Philly cheese steak sandwich. Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The skin on seasoned fries that came with the burger and sandwich were so addictive. Green beans and mashed potatoes that came with the meat loaf were cooked perfectly. We ended the night with chocolate lava cake. The cake was moist with balanced sweetness and bitterness of the chocolate. Table service was very attentive and friendly. Long time customer going back to the original location even before Local Bar. Frequent customer here and looking forward to Local Taps. This was incredibly disappointing. The order was Gyro wrap with Wedge salad. Substitute gilled chicken for lamb. The server confirmed that we wanted the salad. What was received: sliced chicken, two pita pockets, a small amount of withered lettuce, and two sad small slices of tomatoes with onions. Oh, and a big plate of fries. The server acknowledged that she misunderstood what the order was and gave us the Gyro Pita with hand cut fries. But yet she has previously asked "you want the salad". Before suggesting I should've asked for a manager, when the incorrect order is brought out why do I have to be the one who contacts a manager? The other item with the fruit flies... I understand regular flies because doors are opened and closed but having to fight fruit flies for your beer is unacceptable. read more

We come here often for lunch, and today wasn't any different, I came with coworkers and I already brought food from home to eat for lunch, but I wanted to tag along with them. I did order a drink and was going to get some desert when the manager came over and told me I couldn't eat my "outside food" there. No problem, I won't make that mistake again. I won't even spend my money in there again. I really don't see what the big deal is if I'm still ordering something from your establishment, but hey, whatever. Couldn't eat my lunch, and had to wait to get back to the office to try to hurry and eat before my lunch time ended. Not to mention, our drive to this place is not close. This is my usual spot go for Friday dinner and drinks, it's always busy but never busy enough that you have to wait for a table which I love. The food is soooo good and I love that they have a large selection of items. Meat lovers/vegetarians and vegans alike can eat here and enjoy the food which is a hard thing to accomplish in one menu. They also have a good selection of drinks. Apps wise I've had the brussel sprouts and texas trio (chips/guac/salsa/texas/caviar) both were very good! I've had the fries which I thought were okay until recently I had a few of my hubbies fries and they had added a Cajun like spice and they were sooo good! Be sure to ask for that on your fries. For mains I've had the falafel tacos - new favorite, these are SO SO good! Ive had the margarita pizza with dairy free cheese which was incredibly delicious, the crust is very well made and tasty. I've also had one of the bowls with quinoa patties which was very delicious and feels quite healthy. On to dessert.. the croissant bread pudding is to dieee for, planned on having a bite.. ate the whole thing!! The restaurant itself is very cute, they have a very spacious patio- although it gets quite hot, it would be better if they could run their fans higher/stronger flow. The customer service is also phenomenal- every time I've been here the servers are super friendly and always around, they check on you consistently. I've never had to wonder where my server is or even look for them. I wish I had some pictures of my food to post but it's always so delicious ain't nobody got time to take pics! But, the star of the visit was Thomas, our waiter! He made great recommendations and was able to answer every question. He also did not miss anything!! We got the Hawaiian Pizza and Beef Kabob. The pizza was great, you can really taste the freshness of the tomatoes. Super delicious and cheesy. The kabobs were okay.. We thought that they were too dry. The vegetables it came with were delicious though. Loved the environment and you can taste how fresh everything was. Cheesecake was good, it was the only picture I managed to take haha. Not too sweet, it was pretty good. Good place overall. Just wish the beef was a lot more juicier. Came here with a group to celebrate a friend's birthday. I hadn't been to this location, before but I had been to the one in Katy. I was a bit sad when I didn't see the brussels on the menu, but don't let that fool you; they have them! My favorite thing is to pair the brussels with the baked goat cheese appetizer, but I decided to get out of my comfort zone a bit. I ordered the gyro wrap, with a side of sweet potato fries. The wrap was pretty good! It had nice chunks of meat, and was heavy on the tzatiki and onions (which I like). The fries were pretty standard. They served them with ketchup and another dip...really they should have subbed the ketchup for regular ranch. For being super busy (Valentine's Day brunch) the service was pretty good, and we didn't wait too long for the food. I will definitely be coming back here again soon to try more menu items. read more

The pita was limited but there was an offer for more pita which we declined because like I said the hummus was eh The children's pizza was simple. Lots of cheese and I believe a cauliflower crust.. not exactly sure. But it was okay. However it didn't make me want to try the other pizza options The gyro plate was okay. Reasonable portion size with the exception of the fries. Those were under portioned. The chicken fried chicken was NOT good. Over fried and all I could taste was the oil. The mushroom sauce on the chicken was a little off as well. It just didn't seem to compliment the chicken. Same to be said for the garlic bread not good at all. Green bean with the plate were okay. Service was very nice. Simple and friendly. All in all it's okay. Plenty of options on the menu but few that I would think would knock your socks off. We love the location on Westheimer Parkway so we're delighted to hear they were opening a location in Cross Creek Ranch.
