The service was great soon as we walked in the door. The atmosphere was great well they had several tvs around by the bar showing the Astro's and they even have outside seating. Started out with the artichoke spinach dip which I highly recommend It was very tasty! For our entrées we got the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans with the jalapeño gravy which was amazing!! And we also got the Gyro plate (doesn't look attractive in pics) but the flavor of the meat in seasoning was amazing with fresh pita bread out of the oven and tzatziki sauce. Ugh what a disappointment. We used to eat there all the time before COVID. Coming into the restaurant, it was slightly busy and we were greeted right away. The booth in which we sat experienced a slow, small leak from the ceiling. So, yeah. We went today and ordered two apps and 3 mains. Everyone liked the quesadillas. Simple and good flavors. The goat cheese was not the greatest. Parts of it were curdled and I think that was attributed to over cooking. It was missing the garnish of candies walnuts, apricots and crushed red pepper. So, basically a small cast iron pan of over cooked goat cheese. Yay. The Anaheim chicken was really tough. The Anaheim cream sauce lacked flavor. The gyro pita was not the greatest. The pita bread was tough and stale. The gyro meat was okay. Wasn't a fan of the hummus they served alongside because it didn't have much chickpea flavor. It was like a chickpea emulsification with other ingredients that outweighed the chickpeas. The tzatziki sauce was actually delicious. Fries were incredibly soggy. Asked for another plate of fries. Btw, whatever they are using to prep and season those things gives them a weird taste. My child liked her lemon pasta. It was a little on the dry/barely sauced side. It felt as we overpaid for our entire meal that was just not flavorful and lacked quality in preparation. There was absolutely no quality control for any dish leaving the kitchen. I love Local Table & Local Bar. I love the live music, the food, the drinks, and the environment. I've eaten here and ordered take-out from here quite a bit and I haven't ever been disappointed. The staff is always smiling and very pleasant. The outside connects both the bar and restaurant which is really nice when waiting for a table to become available. The goat cheese dip is a frequently ordered appetizer, it's creamy and flavorful, I've introduced it to people who are not goat cheese fans and they end up loving this appetizer. I recommend this place for girls night, date night, brunch or just to hang out. read more

Unfortunately, Local Table did not do the best job bagging our order this evening. We used Uber Eats to order a kinda healthy alternative to fast food but Local Table mixed up part of my order. Instead of the grilled chicken sandwich, I was given a beef tenderloin sandwich instead (and I don't eat red meat). I called the restaurant to see about getting a refund, and because we ordered through Uber Eats, they were not able to. This has happened before with another restaurant and we were in fact able to receive a refund. It's frustrating to say the least. Local Table offered to bring me my correct sandwich in about 45 min. Mind you it's a Sunday evening and getting late. I ate a salad I had in the fridge to hold me over and doubt the chicken sandwich will get eaten, as it will be too late. My husband said his glazed salmon was good but did not like the side of rice because of the raisins--he thought it was going to be lentils as the menu stated. I can't believe we waited this long to visit Local Table. I'd been out town for a week, low on groceries, didn't want to cook...dear husband didn't want bbq, Mexican, or Italian. Remembered this embarrassingly nearby eatery. Sooooo good. Our server Dunning was friendly and efficient. I started with the house made Sangria. DH is a Crab Cake connoisseur, and felt that our two cake appetizer was pretty close to the best crab cakes he'd had about 6 years ago at a resort. He thinks it was the aioli drizzled on the crispy cakes, served with pickled vegetables -- though the bed of mixed salad greens seemed wasteful. I enjoyed my Gyros Platter with all the usual accoutrements. I suspect the crispy fries were double-fried; but I needed at least another 1/2 a pita. Hubby reports his Shrimp Tacos were very good - but he didn't taste the shrimp in the first bite. Also he's about to start a petition to require Texas restaurants to offer Sweet Tea. ;) It was a little cold inside (turn that A/C down a bit). Went to try your restaurant for the lst time. My dad and i were greeted at the door and was seated promptly. We waited for at least 7 or 8 minutes and not one waitstaff aknowledged us. They continued to walk by glance at us and continued walking. The table behind us was empty..then a family was seated... the waitstaff was promptly at their table ready to take drink orders... as we were completely ignored. So we got up and left..my dad stopped to tell the male waitstaff that were leaving without any service... he had no response not even a sorry. Im seems to me that your staff needs to get rid of their tunnel vision and not ignore any customer not just the one at their station and to not gather around chatting. Vegan falafel bowl is scrumdidliumptious! The first time I tried, they left out the pita bread and so I ate it as a bowl without knowing what I was missing out on. second time I came, I said "oh was this supposed to come with pita bread?" and they gave me 2 pitas on the side. SO much better! I made myself a lil falafel Sammie and I have to say it was the best thing I've eaten in a while. Just all around perfection. The spicy jalapeño hummus is so bomb. The falafel is the perfect taste and texture. Pita so soft it makes you wanna melt. As a vegan, I will certainly return to this establishment. As far as pricing ; it comes out to $18 with tax and that's honestly kinda steep for what it is. But I'm from San Diego CA so I'm kinda used to it. Just not what I expect from TX. Anyhow give this place a whirl, it's worth it to me. Update: I visit the cypress location last night to get my usual falafel that I've been obsessed with, and they completely messed up the falafel. It was soggy and didn't look right at all. It had a crispy outer that looked like fried chicken with little hairs coming out of it. I honestly have no idea what went wrong but it definitely grossed me out enough to not order that again. The manager was kind of enough to refund me AND give me a $15 credit. Sooo I decided to try something else and I am so satisfied! I ordered the Mediterranean fusion bowl, which is so flavorful, healthy, and filling. I do want to mention that every time I have gone to local table to get the falafel bowl, they NEVER put the pita in the bag. I started to check before I left so that I could ask for it. If you like bbq chicken or Hawaiian pizza or both, you're more likely to like the teriyaki pizza. It had chicken, bacon, mozzarella, red onion, teriyaki as the base sauce and pineapple. Got Brunch on a Sunday morning here and it was such a great time! The restaurant itself had a very relaxed yet busy vibe. Staff was super nice and paid a lot of attention to detail. Food was delicious! Got the crab cake Benedict and salmon avocado toast. Each dish was super flavorful and the side dishes combined well all together. The salmon avocado toast had many fresh ingredients and I truly enjoyed each bite. Definitely recommend this if you're a smoked salmon lover like myself. Left with a happy tummy!
