I loved this place from the outside looking in and even more from the inside looking out! Pulling up I was immediately attracted to the vintage vibe of the neon signs outside. Walking in I was attracted to the authentic Irish Pub feel of the place. The place is just authentically cool, and that is so rare in the world of restaurants/bars. Once seated we were greeted by Sarah, our amazing server! Seriously, her personality is fantastic and adds to the friendly neighborhood ambiance of the place. For my meal I ordered the Fish & Chips, mainly because it is one of their signature dishes. It was delicious and really hot the spot on a damp cool evening. I would definitely get them again, but there are SO many other things on the menu I want to try, so it will be a game time decision on my next visit lol I should note that they do have desserts though I had to tap out before I got there because I was too full. Their desserts are Sticky Toffee Pudding or Churros. I am going to leave room to try one of them on my next visit!

First....i love supporting local businesses! Second...this place NEVER disappoints! The service is great! They're on top of it whether busy or just an average night. The drinks are always good, especially if looking for an old fashioned. Let's talk about the food! The green beans served with the vodka shrimp are so delicious I've had to tell my husband to stay off my plate. The vodka shrimp is good too, along with the Lochland burger or any burger here. My out of town friend loved the shepherd's pie. We had to bring her twice just so she could have it again before leaving town. This place has some of the best fish and chips I've ever had. So knowing how good this all is.....run. This place is amazing and who wouldn't want to hang in an Irish pub on a nice afternoon or take a date in the evening? They have a nice outdoor beer garden too.

We went to Lochland's to celebrate my 63rd birthday. As I'm attempting to reconnect with my Irish roots. I ordered the Fish and Chips, which came out piping hot and seasoned very well. After adding the vinegar and tarter sauce my meal was as good as I was hoping it would be. My best friend ordered the Lochland Burger, which was cooked to perfection and the fries were equally as good. My other friend ordered the Chicken and Fries, which was also seasoned very well. There was a Dallas Stars game on during my visit, however the crowd was not to load or unruly. My experience during my visit was as good as could be expected. The staff was very Pleasent to work with, and we never felt neglected or rushed. All in all my 63th birthday celebration was a huge success. I'll be back soon, as I need to order that Shepards Pie. Looking forward to my next visit

We went for lunch on a Friday. The atmosphere was a classic Irish pub. I've been here many times. Every visit has been fantastic. The food, drinks, and service are always stellar. I've been eyeing the cioppino for some time now. I tend to always miss the season when I want to order it. I finally decided to ask when the season is. Basically between the months of October until March. I was also informed that they might be able to make it off season as well if you just ask. The soup took about 15 minutes to be made. It came out piping hot, you could tell it was made from scratch. It was delivered in a large bowl with another large bowl for your shells. It was chock full of mussels, squid, white fish, and about 5 shrimp. The broth was good but a little under seasoned. It had plenty of aromatics but lacked body and salt. It came with bread but the broth wasn't rich enough to dip. It just tasted like wet toast. It was quality, just not too my standard especially for the price as it's one of the more expensive items on the menu. All in all this place is great. Just find something that looks good to you and I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself. Happy hour is great. I found out the specials in the food items are reduced portions. For a couple it's the prefect sharing amount.

Met a friend for dinner, and we wanted to go somewhere easy. This was this place, big beer garden. Friendly vibe. Not too busy, The cocktail and drink list is long, so many things to choose from. I tried the ultimate gin and tonic for a cocktail. It was good. Switched to a Hefeweizen with dinner, We shared the cheese board. So good. Solid selection of cheese: Brie, Humboldt fog, and manchego. I followed that up with a Reuben. It was good.. Totally hit the spot. Layers of flavors. Didn't fall apart. Will indulge again

So the wife was craving some good fish and chips and she rarely craves that and we didn't want to make the hike to Frisco to eat really good fish and chips at the Aussie Grind, so I found this place. As you walk in, you pretty much seat yourself. We got seated and the service was on it. The service was great for sure. We ordered the fish and chips of course and when it came out, it was pipping hot is how my wife likes her food, basically burning her mouth, LOL! They make their own ranch and tartar sauce and those were good. The fish was crispy and not overly greasy. The fries were good but could have been better and more could have been served on each plate. I was looking for them to be those steak fries that normally see with fish and chips. These were skinny compared to steak fries. The bottom line is that everything tasted good, but I will say that this meal sat with me all day long. I'm curious to know what is in the batter as far as seasoning goes, because again, it just sat right there all day long. So there it is, that's my review. :-)

I went on a Friday evening. The interior of the pub was cool. It was dimly lit and the decor was spot on. Wooden floors, vintage looking light fixtures. I was craving fish & chips & Lochlands had been pinned to try for a while. It's a seat yourself pub & service was quick. I was disappointed in my fish, but the fries were great! The portion of the fish was good, but it was the lack of flakiness was a let down. I'd like to go back & try something else. They also have a cute looking beer garden.

The food was very fresh. The old fashions deep The wedge was perfect! Jess, who I've never met before in my life nor looks like anyone I know, was a great server and good humour. She made excellent suggestions both on food and drink. The atmosphere was very nice with lots of outside seating. One of the stand outs in my mind was though it was an Irish pub, it was bright and open, compared to some "pubs" that think super low light and crowded tables and shouting matches are required for a good time out makes for the best atmosphere. Really looking forward to going back again. read more

I am giving this 2 1/2 stars. I had high hopes for this little place. But after finally making it over, I wished that I hadn't. Hubs had the fish and chips, not the greatest that He's ever had it not bad either; good ratio of batter to fish. Perhaps we just hit at time to filter the fryer. He would order them again. Sadly, I ordered the mussels. I order them everywhere they're on the menu and in an Irish pub they're absolute staple. The broth was line chicken stock with no seasoning and no fat whatsoever. Plainly, it was dish water. The poor mussels had been boiled to shreds and were chewy strings. I ate two, well I chewed on two. The bartender never asked about any of the food. She carried off the complete bowl of untouched mussels. We tipped 20% but usually tip much better than that. All in all, we won't be back. read more

One of the most underrated bars in DFW. Seriously, if this place was located in Downtown, you'd never get a seat. I was lucky enough to walk in at 2:45 on a Sunday, and one of the ladies who brought me my drinks and food kindly informed me that brunch was still available for 15 minutes. I've walked into places where the courtesy was not extended, so that is a definite plus. I first had the food a few weeks ago when I ordered for pick up, and the drink prices as well as the customer service made me want to come back despite the 25 minute weekend drive. I'm currently shopping for a new house, and this place is one of the reasons Northeast Dallas is one of the geographic locations I am considering. The Paloma Radler is their twist on a classic Paloma, and of course they did the damn thing! Instead of the usual grapefruit soda, they use a grapefruit beer, and it elevates the drink so much. I ordered eggs Benedict which were SO AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS. Eggs perfectly poached, hollandaise creamy and flavorful, and the breakfast potatoes are MIND BLOWING. Full of caramelized onion, crunchy, soft, browned, salty...just so good. The house hunt is so stressful, but this meal truly made my day (along with the Cowboys win). I've tried a few menu items, and NOTHING DISAPPOINTS, but I'll save those reviews for later. In the meantime, check out this hidden, exceptionally clean gem (seriously the staff is constantly cleaning). 2 hours later: still here watching this lame Seahawks vs Green Bay game...anyway, got hungry again and needed something light. The green beans, are sautéed and served with an amazing aioli, of course. Nothing here is less than extraordinary. I've also tried a few more cocktails and the bartender has been so gracious with all my requests. Thanks, guy!!!! read more

Stopped here for brunch on the way back to Austin and really enjoyed it! The outdoor seating area was perfect for the doggo we had with us on the trip. It also looked to be very child friendly. The food itself was yummy. I got an impossible burger and the boyfriend got fish and chips. We both very much enjoyed our meal. Only fault was that there was a long wait for food but it was a Sunday at the peak of brunch so completely understandable read more

The focus of this place is definitely alcohol. I've come in several times for take-out and to dine in, and the servers seem dismayed with the fact that I haven't ordered any alcoholic drinks. That said, the waitstaff is attentive. The food is a little pricey but it's pretty tasty and it feels fresh. It's a little dark and gloomy inside the restaurant, but I'm sure that's intentional. There are often games playing on the TVs so it becomes pretty packed late at night and on weekends. It's not my go-to place for food, but I've never regretted going. read more

Lovely pub! We only stopped in for drinks but the food I kept seeing come out of the kitchen looked amazing. They've got a nice list of options for drafts, really love that they have a lot of local stuff. The new back patio is so cute. With TVs too so if you want to catch a game it's perfect! read more

We have driven by multiple times and keep saying, "we should stop in." Finally, we did. Ordered a bourbon cocktail that was excellent (I'm a chef who cooks often with bourbon, so it was right up my alley). Friendly service and the food came out hot and fresh. The simplest thing was impressive... the side salad. It wasn't your typically iceberg lettuce. They actually used cut-up romaine, sliced onions, grape tomatoes, a cucumber, and a nice side portion of dressing. I ordered the lochland burger... I ordered medium and got well, well done. Some salt and pepper on the thick patty would have given the overcooked burger some justice. The hash dish was on point. We will return, but next time, I'll order medium rare to get a medium burger. read more

Vegetarians and Vegans rejoice! Lochland's have you covered. They have a vegan shepherds pie and they also have vegan crumbles to put on flatbreads. They also have vegan patty's for burgers. They also do not charge for an upgrade to a side salad as a side. Very veg friendly! Thank you for that Lochlands! read more

Can't say anything about the food, the service or the ambiance......walked in at 9:48 pm ask for a menu and the bartender said the kitchen just closed.... One hour and 12 minutes before closing.... I don't know if I'll be back. Pretty bummed about these pubs kitchen "closing" an hour before closing. read more

Extra added new review. The Cioppino is delicious! I was here today to watch rugby with the usual band of friends. I had the Reuben for lunch: delicious. Continued to watch rugby. Since 4pm rolled around, the Cioppino was now up. It looked good in the promotional photos, so I figured ... Absolutely delicious. More than enough for me at one setting, so I have a snack to take home (no complaints there), Really nice spice level. Great seafood balance. I removed the mussel shells on site (don't need those, and gives the soup time to cool down)., left a few shrimp tails in the output bowl. Put a very satisfying portion of it into my belly. It's really, really good, and I'm pretty tight with compliments. I'm serious: it's delicious. read more

Great vide place. The outdoor space is fantastic. (Especially with the cooler weather). The food was great! So far we've had the fish &chips, a couple of Rubens, a burger and a chicken sandwich. The cocktails are well made as you should expect. The service! The service is just wow. From the moment you come in they jump into action. The pub was crowded on a Saturday night. It's self seating and was thinking we may get lost in the crowd. Not a chance. The server was kind attentive and super patient. She took every order no matter how complicated without writing anything. NOTHING was missed. Not a single hiccup or "my bad". Just freaking amazing. I wish I knew her name to give proper credit. After being here more than once. I get the feeling this is more the norm than the exception. We'll be back! read more

Great neighborhood pub. Owners and staff are friendly and service is great. I've been several times and tried different things and have never been disappointed. Fish and chips are wonderful. The Sunni Salad is one of my favorite menu items. They have a great patio also. Highly recommend for brunch, lunch, or dinner! Or just sit on the patio with a cold pint of Guinness. read more

The food is great, the beer is cold, but the service is just blah. I really want to love this place, but every time I'm in the service is just poor, slow, and almost clique-ish? I don't know how to say it, but they are overly nice to the regulars and then it's awkward if you're not their BFF. read more

First time here and it was a very disappointing experience. My husband ordered the slat and pepper salmon and asked to add a side of 4 shrimp, when the bill came we found out that they charged us for two entrees! Had this been communicated, we would have changed our order. When we asked our waitress and was non-apologetic and dismissive. Disappointed and will not be back. read more

Been three times. Food was just okay. Recent take-out order of burger; got it home and was so disappointed. Lettuce had brown edges; tomato was small and didn't get the mayo I ordered. Not at all the quality of what's charged. No napkins - and I tipped! read more

Stumbled upon Lochland's on a recent Sunday afternoon for the first time and found it a great bar spot and a real hidden gem. The food and service were both outstanding. The cheese fries were marvelous and the burger was delicious. I tried the avocado jalepeno soup and it was different but really good. I would try again. I liked the Irish pub vibe and found the restaurant really clean , busy, and our server very prompt and friendly. Will definitely be back read more

This place is fantastic! The food is great, there is something for everyone, and the service is so much better than you will get at most places nowadays. The night before my mom's funeral, we had our version of an "Irish Wake" on their outdoor dining patio. It was casual, so people could come and go, get food or not, and pay their own tab. There was Irish music, and it was a great experience. Other people were enjoying the patio tables, as well, and it seemed like a good time for all. Really reminded me of a true pub in Ireland. Local treasure!!! Now this is a fantastic Irish Pub! The food is to die for! Simply delicious! I recently joined Yelp and it gives recommendations in your area and you can read reviews, etc. it's so great! Back in my day, we had none of this technology to speak of. A co-worker and I came here on a whim after accidentally ending up going to the wrong Walgreens 15 minutes out of our way. I take the blame Sandy! We both got burgers and the house made fries. The burgers were cooked to our specified temperature perfectly! Fresh and unique toppings I believe I got dragon cheese. Something or other. Delicious! Sauces made in house and fries were crisp and seasoned to perfection. The waitstaff is phenomenal! They treat you like you own the place. Speaking of owners, the couple that owns Lochlands were there, hands on, behind the bar, working like everyone else. They said hello and asked how our dining experience was. I can see why everyone says they feel like family here on their review! The place was clean and beautifully decorated with some old metal chandeliers and a very inviting hue of blue. Amazing atmosphere, amazing attention to guests. I believe the owner served us at the bar. There's a feeling of acceptance here. I took my father to see a Premier League match and all I can say is THANK YOU, Lochland's, for letting us enjoy some footie and allowing my father to grill you (the owner, I'm assuming) on all kinds of gin...
