I've been going to this place when it was just one storefront. Now they have expanded and use the space to have DJs come in on the weekends. What I've always come back for throughout the years is their honey sriracha chicken wings. I think these wings are the best in Manhattan, honestly, you really can't tell me different. They also have some great truffle Parmesan fries that goes well with the wings and they have the specialty cocktails which wash down the food well. This was a great low key spot. Good atmosphere, decent cocktail menu, delicious appetizers and burgers. It was the perfect spot for a catch-up dinner date with my girlfriend. They're packaging for takeout orders is meticulous. We travelled to Westchester with 5 drinks and they all survived. The service was just as good as the food, which was superb. I highly recommend the burgers, lomo, salchipaps and anything with the cajun seasoning. read more

I've been coming to locksmith for a while and have never experienced such bad quality from the bar as I did tonight. The bartender (Christina) was drunk out of her mind. I waited 20 mins for a drink, still tipped 20% because maybe things were overwhelming. Went for another round and had to wait another 15 mins while she took maybe 5 shots while we were waiting, only to have her respond with a disgusting attitude when we asked if she remembered that we were there waiting for another round. She then was screaming at someone that was trying to give their card to pay for their tab. My friends & I switched to the other side of locksmith because WTF is wrong with that girl?! A mess. I give it 3 stars just because the service was up to par. We got the shrimp basket by the time we got home the fries were cold and stale so I was left with just shrimp for the most part. The mac and cheese was dry - I am a mac and cheese fanatic so this was super disappointing. The chicken and fries basket was actually the best thing from there along with the drinks. They didn't have sparkling which was fine so I resorted to usual tequila with water and craft beer for my boyfriend. I would go back but I probably wouldn't order food. Came to locks for taco Tuesday and had great food and an amazing time. If you've gone to locks pre covid you know it's always fun. They've done a great job at keeping the same vibe even with all the covid restrictions. The DJs Hasan Insane and Yoo Q always play the best music. They had us dancing in our seats the whole time Our server Connor was also AMAZING. Very attentive, super fast, and super friendly. Over all a great experience at one of my favorite places. Everything started out well and then crashed, blew up and burned. Never have I ever had to work so hard to understand a bill, the assumed adding everyone's order on one tab after requesting separate checks, struggled to get clarification on what's owed, and been met with so much attitude in the explanation process. I would recommend you visit, do not open a tab, get your food, get your drinks as they are competitively priced, then leave. We also moved from the bar to a dirty table and was met with staff who clearly are stretched thin and not able to keep up with the change over. I had high hopes for this place and I definitely recommend it for food, atmosphere and decor but the service really hurt my experience. The staff is friendly. That's the first thing that I noticed about this place. Even I myself was in a grumpy mood. They gave me my space, took my order, and checked up on me. I actually went back because of this. Less grouchy this time. Same great service, and the burger is top notch. The other quality aspect of this place is the vibe established by the music and decor. They keep the music low key, and the decor is rustic. The second time I visited they had set up a little celebratory area for the newly nuptialed. Someone had painted a sign announcing the event on the specials chalkboard. That was a nice touch, I thought. Otherwise this very much seems like a neighborhood place. It's a bit of exercise getting downhill from the train to here. And it's therefore logically more of a sweat getting back up. One of my favorite places to chill. Tiny little place with good happy hour, great bar food, and friendly staff. I specially love the Philly cheese steak and the onion rings. I personally think the garlic drenched yuca fries are a bit over rated but they are good non the less. I am sad to see brunch change but in this day in age I would understand why they had to take these drastic measures, still its a great little hang out. I'm a garlic lover so the garlic fries and garlic yuca fries that they serve here are simply delicious to me. I am also a fan of the buffalo wings, which they have on major sale during game time. I've been here several times and have no complaints about the service. It's a small place but there's no inconvenience about the size since they have huge screens are are usually prompt. Yesterday, it was very busy b/c of the football game and there was only one waitress, who we had to flag down a few times. She was still very sweet but they were definitely understaffed. I'm so happy this place was able to serve us during Covid. We were able to get outdoor seating which I wasn't too optimistic about during the cold weather but they went above and beyond. Unlike other reviewers I think the burger was meh, sort of bland and not very juicy but the fries were good. The Nutella churros were good but they didn't come with a Nutella/chocolate dip as expected. They had some chocolate drizzled on them that was definitely dark chocolate and not Nutella. I visited for the first time last Sat for dinner. I had a burger and my friend had lomo saltado both good dishes. We stayed for drinks and Tommy the bartender was excellent! The DJ came on and spinned some really good 90s R&B and did the damn thang!!! My only complain, a small glass of house margarita was $12 which is a bit steep. The girl bartender, Wally, was too laid back. A bar full of customers waiting while she leaned against bar looking annoyed to be there. There's two half's of the place ( one half is where you order food and the order is where the Dj is and it's more social .. spacious to dance) The Dj was nice but kept playing Rap and R&B.. being that it's in the Heights..
